Heads up, I have the 150cc. It's a fun scooter but you will have some issues in the beginning. (1)Your headlight will be connected to the stator, this is why you will notice flickering when giving it throttle, this will cause the light will die out very quickly. You need to order a switch kit and to run it from the battery. (2) My front break fell of within a week. The cheap bolts they came with bent and broke. Replace those immediately. (3) Front suspension is trash, hit a small pot hole or deep sewer lid it feels like you ran into a wall. Other than that it's been a fun ride and I do enjoy it.
This is obviously not all stock. The intake and muffler are not included. If you go to their webpage, you will see all the things that are different. Still nice, but should not be confused with what you will get if you buy one of these machines.
I keep being told that the 150cc maddog isn’t carb approved in California, is that true ? Edit: if so does that mean it’s not street legal? And is there a way to make it street legal ?
You are correct, the 150cc is not legal in California but I have good news. There is a way around that. You buy the 50cc like we did and then get her registered to California. Once you have the title and plate. All you have to do is simply order a long case 150cc and it's a direct bolt on. Now you own a 150cc Maddog :]
