@@Nelson4207 I didn’t think it was honestly just wider and slightly heavier. I felt like I could move both easily and felt around the same weight. 🤷🏻♂️
i always replace fuel lines. shocks are surprisingly decent! id swap out a better reliable spark plug. other than that change the oil right when you get it and i think youd be set! and most of the Gens seem to be exactly the same. only change is visuals. the same power plant is usually used with next to no changes.
Are those Illinois plates? I'm thinking about getting the Trike version of this... Would you happen to know if we need a motorcycle licence for these in Illinois?
@@darkowlmoto that is dependent on state tho, 50cc aint street legal here in Nebraska, unless it has rotary pedals and does not reach over 25mph on top of the 50cc engine

@@darkowlmoto This is a IceBear Maddog 150 Gen IV. In my opinion the best year and the best model. I have the 50cc and I'm sold on it's style alone. It's a scooter so don't try to make it a hot rod ... CDI is about all you need to do and have the valves set. Also need to go over the whole bike and replace the cheap clamps, hoses, exc ... Well worth the time.

@@darkowlmoto Only thing I did wrong was messing with the air filter off the carb. It looks 100% better I think with a stub filter off the back. However, after more trouble than it was worth and a new carb .. I found the bike really likes it's stock intake.
It came fully assembled. Most of these bikes the only thing you have to put in if it says you have to assemble Is the front brake and tire. Which is really easy.

Yeah probably because you didn’t do the full upgrades if you mud them out fully you won’t really have a lot of problems of them breaking down a lot do you feel me I pretty much think they’re decent bikes once you replace all the crappy parts on them that’s why people say you got to be mechanically inclined to buy them because when you first get them they are a piece of work I have a telltale 2013 scooter 50 but I made it out to 100 almost 100% modded it out I’m just basically buying all the parts and paying people to fix them is hard because you got a buy really expensive quality parts then you got a find people to put them on that’s why I’m so happy we got a few more to do all I Gotta do is fine front forks In front tree column and I got a change the top handlebars to aluminum then I got to buy some front fork shocks My forks and then I got a buy high-performance engine starter another one and that’s pretty much about it
It just makes it able to rev a bit higher, I used to have one on the 50cc, stock it would max out at 30 around 5500-6000 rpm, with the racing/blue cdi It topped at 40 at 7500-8000-ish rpm...Still slow but gained a good 10 mph before having to mess with the cvt rollers.... lol

I got the Gen V 150cc Maddog and it's fun to ride it. I say it's worth it especially since it's cheap.

If you get the 50cc you do not need a motorcycle license only a valid drivers license.

Not familiar with Florida laws but most states if it is 50cc you don’t need anything other than a valid drivers license to operate on public roads.
You can go to the dollar store and get a bottle of awesome to clean the oil or any Grease it's a degreaser

I got to about 55 never got it to its full potential as I didn’t take it far or on a long enough straight away.

@@yashiroku correct allowing you to essentially get a slightly higher top speed which for the price is nice on a 150cc!
