What a terrific first episode and awesome series! They did a great job of bringing the games to the screen. I only worry that they may have done it *too* well, for example 14:36 a guy standing on a hill, suddenly a noise and he reacts a moment later as if shot/injured. Camera pans down to show what appears to be a baby leg sticking out of his abdomen. Even you seemed confused by this, imagine someone who had never played Fallout. We then see the three men, one of them holding a weapon that we recognize from the game as a Junk Jet, and assume they shot a doll or part of a doll at the guy and killed him. But that is never explained. Same with the Stimpaks, *we* know what they look like and what they do, but to an unfamiliar audience that could have been an antibiotic because we later see her stitching herself with the staple device. However, that is just me trying to put myself into the shoes of someone who has never played the game. For those of us who know, this adaptation was amazing!
I do see what you mean, when you think of it from a complete outsiders POV it makes you realise that they don't really do a good job of explaining these things. It's perfect for fans of the games but to newcomers I can definitely understand if they feel a little lost!
Only saw the first episode, but to me it seems a bit random to have Vault 31, 32 and 33 be the only ones that were connected. I theorize that the experiment was done with the entire 30 block of Vaults.
I'm loving this show so far, also 219 years after the bombs dropped would be 2296 putting it 9 years after Fallout 4.. wait.. THIS IS FALLOUT 5? Reason i say that is Fallout 3 takes place in 2277, exactly 200 years after the bombs drop. New Vegas takes places In 2281, 4 years after Fallout 3. Fallout 4 takes place in 2287 putting it 6 years after new vegas and 10 years after 3. 2296 would be 9 years after fallout 4 unless they stick to the 10 year jumps between major titles. in that case this should could be a prelude that leads into Fallout 5 which should take place in 2297. But thats just a theory.
Well got some good news. When the cast and crew were interviewed at south by south west event in Texas for this series the director Johnathan Nolan was told not to put anything in this series from fallout 5 by Todd Howard. So yes we are getting a fallout 5 video game. And he did say this series starts after fallout 4 as you astutely observed.
So, the Great War(the nuclear exchange between America and China) was basically 2 hours worth of nukes dropping across the world. The main thing that caused the apocalypse, or the worst of it, was the nuclear fallout from all those bombs. Almost every major city across the US, China and pretty much every country were basically bombed back into the Stone Age. Some were obviously worse than others, with places like Salt Lake City were hit by over 13 warheads.
Dear Keyboard Warrior, your comment is like a half-baked pizza: cheesy, but lacking substance. Let’s break it down, shall we? ‘Buddy out here starting another show without completing the others.’ Ah, yes, because life is just one big Netflix queue, and we’re all waiting for your approval. But hey, at least I’m not binge-watching Judgmental Comments: The Series Demomorg apologises for not finishing the other TV shows. You see, his attention span is shorter than a squirrel on an espresso binge. But don’t worry, he’s reacting to a show ‘The Chronicles of Unfinished Series.’ It’s a gripping drama about a person who starts 50 shows but never finishes any. Spoiler alert: The season finale is just a blank screen with the words ‘To be continued… maybe

That one bomb in a city caused an apocalypse?
Yes, nuclear war causes an apocalypse.

There were multiple bombs all over the world. Simultaneously.
Global nuclear war, we were just looking at Los Angeles. If you watched the show, you would see multiple bombs hitting the city.
There was one bomb? Are you blind?
I’m a total newbie idk anything about fallout game or show
Yes mate!!! Absolutely loving it! Knew you would too!!!
