I've never played the games (except Shelter lol) but I knew the setting roughly. Enjoying the show so far. Only two episodes in. Let's see how it goes.

I will live and DIE by the “binge model” (releasing all episodes at once). I simply HATE waiting for multiple episodes to come out when it literally could have all been released all at once. I love just going through the whole story all at once. I find it insane that anyone would prefer waiting.
Life long Fallout fan here, played 1,2, and 3 when I was a kid. New vegas released when I was in college, spent hundreds of hours in fallout 4, and currently have over 3k hours in 76. I've enjoyed ALL of them, no matter their flaws, be it poor writing or a buggy mess. I focus on the good qualities. I will never understand the obsession some fallout fans have with needing to put New Vegas on such a high pedestal, claiming Obsidian is the better developer than Bethesda, even though objectively they're no better or worse, they're both fairly surface level cliche writing styles. These new vegas fanatics will regurgitate the same lines to anyone with an ear, and refuse to listen to any other opinion. But, with this tv show, I'm seeing a lot of mixed reviews. people claiming it's retconning lore from some of the games. These are most likely the same people who have a hard on for Obsidian and love to hate BGS, even though they've never played any fallout game other than NV, so they don't have a clue about Fallouts lore other than what they've been told by other NV fanatics regurgitating the same nonsense.
From what I’ve seen, a lot of the haters for the TV show are mostly saying things like “I want the show to be as close to the video games as possible , but I hate that stimpacs heal things almost instantly because it’s too much like a video game and not realistic”. They’re very inconsistent so I don’t care about what they say.
28:35 He's gotta know by now, but for my own piece of mind: There's no ghoul detective in Fallout 4 lol. The only similarities between the show and Fallout 4 is there's a Chapter of the Brotherhood in both, as well as vaults. That's it lol. Those overlaps aside, the show and games have nothing to do with each other besides existing in the same universe and having the same lore.
You are not mistaken. Pinkie = a 'light red', i.e not a full Communist, but a sympathiser. I guess it's one of those slang terms that younger people have just never run into much.
I feel like not releasing all at once just harms the show these days because you have 100+ people on TH-cam channels alone who dissect every second to try and figure out the next episode before it happens. Stuff like that I find really hurts shows because they then need to put a lot more time into making sure there’s no way to tell. I’d much rather it be released all at once and avoid that stuff and be able to enjoy the show for what it is and not have my feed full of “theories”. That’s just me tho and what I believe
I disagree. Weekly episodes allow everyone to be watching at the same pace, allowing a steady flow of content and interest towards the show for people to discuss and speculate, and also to keep its cultural relevance as long as it can, instead of being completely forgotten the week after it's released.
just passed by to tell u dude ur probably one of the very few youtubers who do reactions that are cerebral.
love the work!
The Minutemen were in Boston, the guys who dug up the ghoul are out West.

Pinkie= Pinkertons?....I always thought it was a slang for Communist....am I mistaken?
Pinkerton is a wild west Era detective agency and Pinko is the commie slur

So good!
