What about Joel's relationship with Tess, Ellie with Marlene or David and Ellie....Joel and Ellie's relationship in the show was all wrong. It skipped important parts when Joel and Ellie meet Bill in his booby trapped orJoel and Ellie moving through the different locations which was where they learn to rely on each other and become closer....unfortunetly they felt they needed to "tick boxes" which meant some fans of the game were turned away and this meant that too much of the game was left out
Exactly. But the truth is Neil Cuckmann doesn't care about the 1st game because of Joel's popularity over Ellie. So he had to kill and destroy Joel in the 2nd game so he could have his revenge fetish and "strong women" moments. Badly written story filled with conveniencies so he can advance his "plot". In the series he did the same, Joel is a weakling, pathetic, deaf on one year, can't control his emotions and has ptsd. Wanna bet how he'll make Joel have a boyfriend in Season 2?
This series was a disrespect to the 1st game. Don't let voicelines and references distract from the mess that this is. Don't let their political agenda shield this shitty series

I actually didn’t like that change, & the scene when Sam dies in the game was a lot more emotional then the one in the show
