places that pay up to $50 000 sign up bonuses followed by annual retention bonuses. MParm or DPharm won't make a big difference. You finishing the steps will! Steps to follow:
There are 4 steps to achieving PEBC pharmacist certification (find details on PEBC.ca website Pharmacy Education Board of Canada search for international graduates)
    STEP 1
DOCUMENT EVALUATION - You must pass this evaluation of your educational and professional credentials to be eligible to take the Pharmacist Evaluating Examination. Univ transcripts etc.
    STEP 2
THE PHARMACIST EVALUATING EXAMINATION - You must pass this examination to be eligible for the Pharmacist Qualifying Examination - Parts I (MCQ) and II (OSCE). This exam is an exam establishing degree equivalency. Thus a massive amount of work with an exam on all 4 years of subjects, Biochem, chemistry, pharmacology, stats, practice, immunology, microbiology, physiology pharmaceutics... The whole nine yards! There is 1 book in particular that you have to almost memorize! CPR and a second Canadian Therapeutic choices... They will provide a list of books needed to be studied. CPR will become your Bible! These you have to buy and study every single page. It is crammed with facts about all study matter. Ethics will be seperate. I will recommend to do the PharmAchieve program/ courses for PEBC prep. You will find it online. I believe you will need at least a year to prep for the evaluating exam.
    STEP 3
THE PHARMACIST QUALIFYING EXAMINATION, PART I (MCQ) and PART II (OSCE) - Your final step to qualifying for certification with PEBC. When you have passed both Parts of the examination you will be certified and registered with PEBC.
PharmAchieve again will provide a prep course. The MCQ exam is written by all Canadian final year students. You will write the full final year exam with them. You can thus only write it at specified times. Followed by a day for your oral exam/OSCE with this group of final year students. They create stations with fake situations to be resolved.
Step 4 will be a provincial Juris Prudence/ legal exam. And an internship with an evaluation by a second pharmacy with a second internship to establish if your internship was indeed successful at the first pharmacy! They will also require an English proficiency test IELTS Academic version, different from the IELTS required by citizenship Canada! Requalification of injection administration and add minor ailments treatment training... Internships are hard to find and most often done without payment...
    Additional points to remember:
Cost for each step: I will send screen shot. Roughly just for evaluation of docs and PEBC exam fees $4500, excl your books, courier fees, translation services etc. In COVID they made online distance access exams available for the evaluating and MCQ, saving a ton of costs not to have to fly in and write. I would say you can easily add $4000 for the OSCE if you are going to do it fro SA. PharmAchieve adding a good couple of thousand... Local registr for internship and as pharmacist probably another $3000 You are looking at at least R250 000 if exams can be done from SA just to register. It was more expensive for me because it was all in person exams when I completed mine. With all the flights, taxis and accommodation added, visas etc I believe you may look at R500 000 + for a family relocation and requalification as pharmacist.very conservative estimate...
Practice tests, a complete outline of what you need to study and do is on the PEBC website.
As a foreign pharmacist you can qualify to just write the technical qualifying exam and become a technician. Many people do not want to go through the lengthy and costly process to become a pharmacist. Difference is in the level of responsibility and the salaries. Techs are paid generally in the $22-$30 per hour range. Pharmacists in the $50-$65 per hour range with add benefits added to that. This is province specific. This may help though to gain experience while you study!
Not all provinces require a bridging program. And internship time differs between provinces.
There are a lot of SA doctors and pharmacists from SA here!

Hi, thank you for this video. Please I have a question which goes thus - If my OFFICIAL NAME is: First Name: James Middle Name: June Last Name: July (as it appears in all my certificates/licenses BUT my PEBC Account is having First Name: James Middle Name: John Last Name: July which was a mistake while creating the PEBC Account. NOTE that the Middle Name: John only appears on MY BIRTH CERTICATE and that is all. I hope this would not cost me in any way or is there a way I can make the Official Middle Name which is JUNE to appear on my PEBC Account. This has been a great concern for me. Thank you for your response.

Hi, I have been searching about one things for a long time. Kindly let me know if you know anything about it. Ok so after passing all the parts which can be done remotely, now I have to travel to Canada for the Osce part. What visa will I be applying for? and Can you also tell me about the internship (Which I think Is mandatory in some parts of Canada) and where it can be adjusted during the whole registration process?
Will be waiting for your reply.
    Thank you
