if you want good mic quality ON your headset you’re gonna have to shell out a lot of money.. you’re not gonna get a good mic on a 100$ headset. just buy a separate mic
In terms of a wireless headset mic. You shouldn’t hold those standards up very high. Every gaming headphone company has yet to perfect that even SteelSeries. Although SteelSeries has probably the most clarity for a wireless mic. It’ll still sound like shit to other people in game. Best option if you want quality is to purchase a mic set up, and shell out for quality headphones. I’m not saying buy the most expensive products but you shouldn’t expect a whole lot from a wireless $100-$150 headset.

Holy crap that microphone.....I haven't heard something that awful in awhile. I don't know how you can send that through Quality Assurance and be like "Yeah this sounds like something people want." lol

Got these recently and using them on my IPhone 13 Pro Max, I have beat solos hoping to get gaming headsets since my beats ear foam is too small. The only issue I have is audio low quality when I’m on discord calls. Maybe it’s an apple thing but my beats and AirPods Pro keep the high quality but the Barracuda sacrifices a lot of audio quality when the mic is on Bluetooth

great job on the b-roll footage, shots look great. It's hard to get excited about new wireless headsets until the bluetooth tech improves to make the microphones good. There are plenty of headphone cardoid mics that sound fantastic on wired headsets, but until we get even close to that.. meh. I just use the hyperx cloud2 without a mic and rock an xlr.
which would u say is better the cloud 2 wireless or barracuda x
Nothing to do with the headset, but have you done a build for the Grid 650 yet? I really want one with peaks but they sold out almost immediately for the group buy
Glad to see razer improving their stuff over the years

Loved de review! First youtuber doing the glass test.
I dont think its gonna be that budget when it comes to India, it will be close to price of the Logi G733
Is the in game sounds is better rather than the Artics 1 form steelseries?
I wonder if you'd attach a different detachable mic would it work better?
Not sure if you’re looking for a response 2 years later, but the worse mic quality mainly comes due to the shared bandwidth limitation wireless has. altho im not sure bluetooth & the dongle have the same bandwidth range.
@@thymme7508 Razer headsets are usually crap or i had bad luck with them, gonna stick to void pro from Corsair. But as well thank you for the extra info 😇
Can you use a different microphone on this? Will it make a difference?
I like it, idk about the dongle tho, I thought these has like wireless Bluetooth built-in dongleless but the sounds pretty. 8.5/10 in my opinion
2022 has new version now with bluetooth
Hey, i am considering bying this headset but i want to ask, how is the directional accuracy? I am moslty want a headset for BR games and some more tactical shooting games like Tarkov and Cycle the Frontier.
I use this hs and I have NO issues with the mic, everyone says they sound perfect...
They lie. Sorry bro
Got Barracuda X 2022, they are one best headphones you can get, battery does hold 50h so i charge 1 time a week and i game a lot. soud is great and i cannot tel any input lag to sound is there like you have on bluetooth headphones vhere you can tell there is 1sec of delay, on barracuda sems like no delay at all. Best Headphones for money is all i can tell!
Does the mic sound better if you plug 3.5 to your PC and use it wired?
BTW, very nicely detailed review!
the mic quality of the blackshark v2 pro gets definitely better using the cable.
should be the same for the barracuda, at least i hope so because the wireless mic quality is dogshit, ngl.
Can we please get docking stations for our wireless headsets. I've been asking for ages. Thanks!

I have the Steelseries Arctis 1 Wireless and it seems to have identical features and accessories but I think the mic is on the Steelseries is significantly better
by loudness of mic yes. but id say the quality on barracuda is nicer
I purchased the Arctis 1 because the price was half that of these. I ended up returning them and getting this because I did not like the sound signature on the Arctis 1.
what mic are you used ? very clear voice
Stopped watching immediately when the microphone test started. Pitiful, what is this, 2006?
if you want good mic quality ON your headset you’re gonna have to shell out a lot of money.. you’re not gonna get a good mic on a 100$ headset. just buy a separate mic
go buy wired headset
Its 100 bucks, built in mic, what do u expect lol. U want a good mic get a seperate one or spend more money on a headset that has a better mic.
steelseries 1 wireless has a much better mic in the same price range and direct competitor to this razer headset...ofc ppl expected better.
My motherboard (MPG X570 GAMING EDGE WIFI - MSI) has NAHIMIC and it's the best. You can set any headphones or any speaker to work as you love. It has more options than other headphones software.
7:30 mic test
Excellent video, but I wish I could hear what it sounded like using the 3.5mm jack
Ive been window shopping fir a wireless gaming headset, perfect timing!
Does the usb c dongle support the mic for the Nintendo switch?
Techne watching this video like: YES YES YES
I love that you still use Battlefield as a benchmark. Haven't played Battlefield V but excited to get into the new one!
This comment aged like milk
Thanks for making this video man. This has to be the best choice for my kid's Nintendo Switch.
Will the mike quality improve if we just connect them with the wire?
Really loving this SteelSeries Artic 1
Design wise, way more Razer's own Opus than the Arctis.
Did someone use this with an Oculus Quest 2? Were you able to use this wirelessly with the usb-c adapter or did you have to use it wired?
Is the microphone any better with the 3.5 cable connection
I got a pair of these and the detachable mic doesn't work at all. Hoping to be able to return them...
I absolutely love the design of this headset for some reason
Despite taking inspiration from apple a little too much here and there on their blade, razer recent products really nail the design department imo.
@@sentryion3106 wtf are you talking about?
@@firellio070 razer has really good design. Thats about crux of it
@@sentryion3106 no why'd you bring apple into this 😂😂😂
@@firellio070 their blade look very similar to the macbooks so many tend to criticize them for that
Randomfrankp pls make a review on the razer naga x cause I ordered it and I can’t find any reviews on the naga x
7:30
thanks lol
hi its been a year since barracuda x release the price right now is around 60-65$ but they released a new version of it at cost of 100$ just wondering if it still worth it to buy the old version of it?
So this ain't the end, I saw you again, today
I had to turn my heart away
Smiled like the sun, kisses for everyone
And tales, it never fails
Does it make any sound when the battery is low? Because steelseries 1 makes sound to make you know that battery is low even though there isnt any software either to check battery life.
Holy crap that microphone.....I haven't heard something that awful in awhile. I don't know how you can send that through Quality Assurance and be like "Yeah this sounds like something people want." lol
i think your the best and biggest gaming review youtuber out there now
The timing tho....
Can you confirm if you can use the wireless adapter with a switch and a 3.5 to something like your phone at the same time?!?!
I have this headset and it was amazing for like 8 months now its a 25% chance of wanting to turn on because the power buttons suck and you have to hold it for forever
The sound quality and pin point foot step can compare with BlackShark V2 wireless?
Got these recently and using them on my IPhone 13 Pro Max, I have beat solos hoping to get gaming headsets since my beats ear foam is too small. The only issue I have is audio low quality when I’m on discord calls. Maybe it’s an apple thing but my beats and AirPods Pro keep the high quality but the Barracuda sacrifices a lot of audio quality when the mic is on Bluetooth
Would you recommend this over the HyperX Cloud Flight S?
Frank, do you know of some good gaming earbuds (wired or bt) under $100?
If the drivers are 10nm smaller than the black shark.. its not the same driver.. as for reduced soundstage.. yes that is due to the reduced size..
I have this particular model of barracuda X and not the 2022 one, I keep getting a low battery notification even though it's full battery and i've had it on the charger overnight
Was debating on these, mic kinda was putting me off, but that volume button... ugh why lol I'm with you on that.
Steelseries 7p or 9 vs Baracuda X? What are your opinions?
Thank you for putting the price In the description :)
What would you recommend for a closed back headphone compatible with the v mode boom pro that has great sound for music and competitive gaming with a budget of $100?
I have the Razer ManO’War, is the barracuda x a better option for replacement?
