Outstanding list, Manny! I can't argue with any of your choices, and now I want an Absorbing Man and Terrax on my shelf. It'd be nice to see them get the deluxe re-release treatment. I only have Juggernaut, Kingpin and Sauron from your choices, and despite my loathing of the ball-jointed hips, you've made me reconsider some I've passed on in the past.
I really appreciate the context you always give in your reviews, for example here where you talk about how the All-Father wave reinvigorated the line (it was what brought me back to Legends collecting after dropping out in the Toybiz days), or the significance of the Juggernaut wave (which seriously reignited my love for X-Men). Your knowledge and desire to talk about the history of the characters and the Legends line put you head and shoulders over a lot of your fellow reviewers. Nicely done, as always.

10:08 - Sauron! That's so freakin' awesome you chose them. We're definitely in the minority with liking them the best. I just loved the Savage Land moments on the X-Men cartoon. Didn't it end with them being stuck there or something? I don't think there was any kind of finality to it. Anyways, I love me some anthropomorphic characters; so a hypnotizing pteranodon character is badass. And anytime I can grow my X-Men (or Spidey) collection is a definite plus.

I have the toybiz Sandman on display. You can get it on eBay for like 25-30 dollars. And I have the marvel select Rhino which you can use. There were also a lot of Spider-Man classics Lizard you can use Atleast until hasbro remakes them.
Deluxe Rhino figure with the classic look for sure, but they need to redo the legs, tail, and head for Lizard before releasing him again.

The odin baf was the wave that got me into collecting (bought the whole wave)
The Odin wave made me want to collect marvel legends too!

I got back into collecting in January but luckily had all of my figs still and a few of them were broken form me having them laying in a box including that waves captain marvel so that sucks cuz that was an amazing fig

Solid list. I actually had the Sauron and sold him because he felt too big to be in scale with the other Marvel Legends. Rhino is personal favorite because I like the character and texturing. Apocalypse would have been my #1 if he were a little bigger. Juggernaut would have been my #1 if he didn't have crooked teeth, or if the repaint wasn't missing pupils.

Sandman & Absorbing Man are 2 of my favorite BAFs, and 2 of the first BAFs I completed... Well, except for Absorbing Man... He's completed, but sadly, I still have yet to track down that Spider-Gwen and snag his wrecking ball...😔 One of these days though...! 😅
As ONE of my ML collection goals is to have comic representations of all the heroes/villains from the original SECRET WARS 12 issue series, at some point I'll have to track down the Wrecking Crew guys and whoever else I've missed by getting such a late start.

LOL! Thanks! I just did it as a funny joke. I personally was not happy with the lizard BAF. The legs were absolutely terrible and could not stay standing. It was always falling over. Wished we got a classic lizard head over the one they gave us. That’s why he didn’t even get an honorary mention. I’m not going to put a figure I had multiple problems with on my list. If I didn’t love it, I can’t list it. You feel me?

I'd love to get some villains matching thier spiderman cartoon versions in the new retro spider man wave. Hopefully Kingpin then maybe Doc Ock and venom. Punisher in that cartoon get up would be awesome.

The bottom 5 change fairly often, but the top 5 are set. Sugarman might change it though.
The list is for the last decade. 2010-2019. Gamerverse Abomination doesn’t qualify here. Surely this decade we’re in, he is definitely a strong candidate being in a lot of Top 10 because that is an amazing BAF.
Xmanny87 gotcha, in that case move them all up 1 and put space Venom at 10, but there were also no legends from 2008-2012, so I’m starting from there. To each his own though.
True but 2012 is within the last decade. There were plenty of legends in 2008. Fin Fang Foom wave, Red Hulk wave, Ares wave, etc. The Legends stopped in 2009 I think and then just started 2 packs only I believe in 2010. Anyways, anything 2009 or prior was the decade before and we’ll just leave it at that my friend. Space Venom is another good BAF. I like that one. Besides Titus, I wonder what other character they’ll use that mold for.
Xmanny87 I think they stoped using that mold since the body for Apocalypse and Caliban came out. They’re pretty similar, but I think it could work for Venom and Sabertooth. It’s slightly smaller than Caliban so it’s a good in between.
I think ol Sauron is very underrated, his articulation is superior to the other popular bafs. If you have more time on your hands as new stuff is trickling through, why not do some how to set up a photo shoot with your figures.

All these reviews talk about all the positives but all these have a common problem. Poseability. Limbs can be heavy and loose. Weak Joints can’t support weight of plastic. Lizard looks amazing, but ankles and knees bend under the weight and Jaw is loose and falls off.
The only problem with absorbing man? His ball should be smaller! It's not a wrecking ball but his jail chained ball, so should have been smaller cause don't see you move at all with that thing on your ankle 😂

Terrax didn't come out during the dark days... the dark days era were 2007-2011. Return of ML era 2012-2013. Infinite era 2014-current.
Nope. Return of Legends are still considered during the Dark days as they still put out a lot of mediocre to bad stuff with a great figure sprinkled here and there. Still no consistency. The bright days started in 2014 with the infinite era as they were following through with good solid figures consistently throughout.

Honestly in kinda sick of x men.
It's hard to be objective with best BAF. You either like a character or you don't. The sculpt is unique or it isn't. Kingpin is a fully unique sculpt that's perfect in every way but the limited articulation really hurts it. Sauron is a cool character but knowing it's a Lizard reuse knocks it down a few pegs and it is overall kind of floppy even if extremely articulated. Jug has superior articulation for a BAF, but the design lacks texture and he looks plasticy especially in the arms.
Looks like your collection is lacking a few bafs. Space venom, hob goblin, and demogoblin...and probably some others...comic thanos.
Lacking? No. I have all Hasbro BAFS. Just couldn’t fit all of the bafs into frame so some were left out in the picture.
