For real! It took awhile for Hasbro to catch up on that one.
We did technically get a hugh jackman wolverine on a marvel legends body mold back when xmen origins came out. In a 2 pack with him and cyclops, using the old toybiz bullseye body.

I’m a year late but I am surprised that Psylocke wasn’t on the list or even an honorable mention.
@@something_els3 I'm a day late and I think Psylocke is good but not great. Her sculpt (done by @mayshelf) is amazing, but the figure is unbalanced, her ankles/feet can't support her, and the way her thighs articulate make it difficult to put her in a lot of cool ninja poses.

The thing I like with Marvel Select is that you often get a base and a good amount of accessories, so even if the articulation is limited, you get a nice display piece

Dope list. I wouldnt have thought to put Ultron where hes at but that's a wonderful and underrated figure. I ain't mad at cha. No love for Mephisto, Venom or Abomination?
I never got Mephisto but I'm sure he's great. VENOM is nice too but I have never been THAT crazy about him, I feel like there are much better versions of him out THERE. Abomination is cool but it's straight up a statue 😂
@@UnparalleledUniverse Mephisto is definitely dope. Falls into that Watcher territory where I never need another one. Plus his throne is a great pack-in.
You're not wrong on Abomination lol. You cant even really get a good walking pose out of him like with Juggernaut. I'm hurt on Venom a little. Love that figure, but if I'm being honest I did mod the heads recently to fit on the Monster Venom repaint. And I'm not sure if I'm ever gonna go back to the Select.
He is too broke for Mephisto.
I just got back into action figures. Managed to pick up a loose Juggernaut for $5. Overjoy with its self presence. Now I need to find the rest from your list. Thanks for the insights!!
Every point of articulations on Ultron did their job perfectly in harmony... I think I know what you mean. And the desig is so subtlely menace👍👍👍
Yeah the articulation is great on him. I think the arms could be a little better but aside from that he's perfect!
I prefer Marvel Select over Legends. IDK but I find Select figures better!
I feel blessed to have found an authentic select Rhino , all that's available these days are the chinese knock offs.

Id agree with your choices, I own the modenr Thanos and the Ultron and I love that Ultron. The Ultron is such a great looking figure and looks like its jumoed straight out of the comics. Great video!

Honorable mention for ambit though as he looks amazing can't move much but I've had him on my shelf since i bought him like 6 years ago and considering I cant display most of my stuff that is an achievement
Just got a select Rocket as my first and main Rocket for my ML display and honestly think it’s my new favourite figure, and am even happy with the choice of costume they went with
Thanks for showing Marvel Select figures the appreciation they (sometimes) deserve. But personally I'd have added :
- Silver Surfer : not very well articulated, but he looks like he's been jumping out from a Jack Kirby sketch
-Venom : I know there are more alternatives, but he's definitely gorgeous! Jean St Jean made a really good job with this one. Loaded with accessories. He only misses double jointed knees and a good ankle pivot.
-Infinity War Spidey : another great alternative to expensive imports. If you like the FFH version, it's almost the same body.
- Avengers 1&2 Hulk : great likeness to the movie and pretty decent articulations
- Carnage : to me, the best out there for this character. Great sculpt and (Yes!) articulations. 3 heads (including the classic one inspired from Mark Bagley) , blades, scythe, and tendrils. Only flaw : oversized.
I purged my entire collection of MOC Selects last year to narrow the focus of my collection, save cash and make space in my toy room. I still have loose Ultron, (Copiel) Thor, (modern) Thanos, Juggernaut, Cable, and the recent Gamerverse Spider-Man in my displays because they are too awesome not to have. This was not only really entertaining, Wade, but made me ache over selling off The Destroyer, Ragnarok Hulk and a couple of the others you showed off. I also regret getting rid of Carnage, surprised he didn't make the cut. I have the Legend but the Select one is astounding. If the MS Venom had been anywhere near as good, I probably would have kept the pair of them.
Anyway, this was (as usual) a great video that really has me thinking about dipping back into Selects more. I wouldn't have gotten the Gamerverse Spidey if not for you, so keep up the great work and keep finding the great Selects to tell us about!
That select Thor #2 is unmatched imo.

I really love the drax personality on movies and comics, similar but different, but I enjoy both characters 🍿
Hulk, rocket, groot, gamora, and destroyer I def agree with those are main stays in my collection. Those guardians are super slept on too it’s ridiculous. But rocket even fits in with the ml stuff he’s numero uno for me, great vid shining light on these figures btw bro!
Thanks for doing this video and sharing it. I've recently gotten into customizing action figures after doing transformers customs for years, so I appreciate you showing off some good figures out of the box.
Marvel select puts a lot of love in their figures dude if they put better articulation in them it’s game over 👍🏾
I just got the Ultron a couple of months ago and I was utterly blown away with how well he was articulated. Great choice

Great Video my Friend. I'm a huge Marvel Select fan. I have been collecting them since 2011. So far on my collections i have 83 Un-Open Figures that are still in their original packaging. They are all displayed in the shelves. I'm planning to collect them all. As for my grails. I have "The Watcher" and "Mephisto" both are still in their original packaging and un-open. Keep up the good work.
In the original product shots for the Marvel Select Hulkbuster it actually had finger articulation. If you google the packaging you can see the original promo photography on the back still has it. That would've made that figure almost perfect.
I wasn't expecting Ultron but I totally agree dude. Great video. Would love to see an in depth review of the old MS Mephisto!
Thanks man! I knew Ultron was an odd choice but I just love that figure. I never picked up Mephisto and I think it's pretty expensive now.
Unparalleled Universe when I was a small boy I had played Marvels Ultimate Alliance and just learned about Black Heart and Mephisto. Then I saw the MS Mephisto at suncoste and couldn’t get it. I sooo wish I had.
MCU Gladiator Hulk and Destroyer are the only Marvel Selects I paid eBay prices for. He is by far my favorite Select, and scales great with the Marvel Legends Thor figures.
I love select and always have. What sucks is that they are under contract that they are not allowed to have more than 16 points of articulation
I got my juggernaut figure in a good running pose, if you just play around with it for a while,you can get it to stay up.
I'm personally a really big fan of their movie lizard figure. Thing is damn near perfect representation of the movie character and it's just big and fun

It’s funny. Last night I was going through fig withdrawals and stumbled on drax for a decent price. Finally finished the Select Guardians. Select has some awesome figs.
Ultron was the first Select figure I picked up, and I have to say I totally agree. I don't need another Ultron. I might be alone on these two, but I prefer the Select Juggernaut, Select Lizard over their BAF counterparts.
Great Video! I'm kinda jealous about the pricing of these figures tho. The thing is, Marvel Selects are more than double the price of Marvel Legends in my country. That's why I only get MSs when I visit other countries. I most certainly like the more detailed look of MS over ML.

Couple of things -
That Hugh Jackman face sculpt is super dope;really looks like him.
I like Gamora's outfit, it's really nice, has clean lines and looks sci-fi but simple.
Psylocke looks better than the Revoltech!
The texture on Rhino's suit really stands out, I want to touch it...
Endgame Thanos' suit has a great colour scheme.
Ragnarok Hulk looks spot-on for the movie ("A lot of plastic for that price!" is such an American thing to say, lol)
That Watcher looks like he just stepped out of a comic.
I wonder where the Pale Man is, hunting around for the chair that Ultron stole...

I love the Starlin Thanos but I'm missing Death on my display so i cut out her bio from the old 80s marvel handbook and attached her to cut out cardboard stock and she's actually to scale lol

Nice video, I like those figures I wish they re-release some of the like The watcher, Groot and the Destroyer. There is(was) a 6" Guardians of the Galaxy pack. Entertainment Earth: Exclusive Marvel Legends Guardians of the Galaxy Set.
To be honest marvel select is good if u increase and customize the figure itself

Man this video was a suprise gift this morning. I bought the second hand disney store exclusive thor and ended up getting the marvel now marvel legend thor figure bc the seller lied and i got the full refund and still kept the figure. I still want that select thor tho.
That Thor is expensive now...I got mine in the secondary market due to it being sold out at the Disney store
Nice list! I just got the Disney exclusive Thanos and it is by far my favorite Thanos figure! Gonna try and get the swinging hammer Thor this week (if it's still available at my comic shop).

You are excellent at what you do. While I am a huge fan of the the diamond select figure line I like your fair unbiased approach to MARVEL DST. Do you wish that Marvel Select do over a better articulated tiger striped Wolverine with the X-Men logo on the belt with hairy arms and a five o'clock shadow, Jim Lee Cyclops, Jean Grey, Professor X and Jubilee? All in 7inche form. What do you think?

Ultron was the first select figure I got, picked it up on Amazon for 15. Also the planet hulk displays great with the marvel legends silver savage. Even though it's from the dark days so it's kind of trash, I still think they look awesome together.

I think you should compare the thanos to the Sh Figuarts
I took all the yellow add ons on Psylocke. I exchange the arms from the MS and the ML Colossus and now looks way better. I used the BAF head on the Endgame Thanos and fits nicely. Just wished the weapon was better designed. Is the worst part of the figure. I agree with your list and I also love this Thor Exclusive. Get a custom wired cape for him and will be perfect. I just don't think that the Ultron is te best one. Could be because mine is so loose. It is very hard to stand him.
I currently don’t have any marvel selects but I will definitely get Ultron to go with my marvel legends

If you want to modify psylocke go for it, if you mess up she cost 23 dollars online so try it
I remember when I was younger when it came to Marvel figures I only collected Marvel Select, mainly because my comic book shop didn't sell Marvel Legends figures for a long time and honestly I'll say that they've always looked better than a lot of Marvel Legends figures in terms of sculpt and paint usually, but I guess you can attribute that partly to the number of figures they have to produce each year being far less than Marvel Legends. I'll agree that Ultron is the best MS figure out there, I really have no problems with it for a classic Ultron design.
I've always been tempted to get the modern Thanos from them, but having the original MS version and the ML First Ten Years movie version I'm okay with them for now.
My second favourite though would probably be the MS Carnage, that figure looks so awesome and is so well sculpted, it's just way too tall even for a MS figure. Their Venom I know a lot of people like but the lack of ankle pivot and mine having crappy paint all over (especially on the heads) made it hard for me to like it, add on top that the plastic for the wrist joints was so soft that they tore off on me so I just threw that figure out thinking it was probably a bootleg.
I might hunt down that Thor, I want a good Thor figure but capes are always weird. The only Thor’s I currently have are the Thor from the first revival wave of legends and the infinity war Thor legends, the infinity war one is good. I might get the 80th Thor but that cape seems annoying
Great video! Before I got into imports/Mezco I actually was always back and forth between ML and MS cause sculpt is more important but articulation is more fun.. I regret passing on Rhino. But ya surprised the Comic Cap that came out a few years ago didn't make it. He looks nice. I actually gave his shield to the 80 Years Cap cause the blues match. I sold a few and most of my Selects are in totes but off the the top of my head-

I am not a fan of the domestic products whatsoever, yeah they look okay but you can't do much with them, they look like statutes than figures but hey, it's whatever man, if you are cool with it then that's okay!

How did you get that Hulk figure, because when I checked out the Diamond Select store on Amazon it stated the Planet Hulk figure wouldn't be available until Aug???

That's definitely the best classic Venom out there, the articulation may be crap , but it's got even a better sculpt than the Mafex one. That madness accessory he comes with is badass.
