I’m all about this. First time hearing yall out. My mom sent the family chat this link today and our discussion is perfectly timed with new babies in the family we are raising to be righteous!
You know what else became common, a lot of these sons that parents allowed to stay out late, ended up finding out that many (not all) ended up getting into drugs, alcohol women ect… during these times when they were staying out. It’s important that if you’re going to be strict and protective do it to both. Boys needs protection too.
I watched some reel of you guys that popped on my feed, they were dam funny that I had to hunt your channel and now I am hooked and listening to every video from the start lol! I grow up in Pakistan and now lives in Australia, your experience will help me understand my children’s view, however for me its not the culture that I want my children to hold on rather its about the religion, I am more focus on teaching them Islamic values not so much Pakistani values.
So get this. We took a cruise to the Bahamas and there was an Indian restaurant on the ship and they had a huge selection of achaar. That and fresh garlic naan are all what we ate everyday on the 7 day cruise lmao. It was FIRE!
I’m so thankful my mom didn’t really apply the gender rules once I graduated high school. She would give me advice but she knew she had raised me well enough to know right from wrong. Her voice was always in the back of my head when I was confronted with questionable things. I was able to travel, hang out with friends late, and be out whenever I wanted. I really took it for granted when I hear stories from desi friends about their parents 😭 I have friends that are 25-26 and still have to go home by a certain time. It’s sad to see women restricted like that
Watching this as a guy and I love what you guys are talking about especially for all the desis out there. I feel like genz and millennial men are really changing and unlearning especially after seeing what there moms have gone through. One thing I’ll say is spoiling both boys and girls is wrong. My parents never made my sister do any hose chores cuz she was “ekloti beti” so I think that is not good as well. Can’t wait to listen more and also you guys are hella funny I knew aruj was Faislabadi from the get go 😂
Even if the girl is not working and is a stay at home mom, she also gets to decompress in the evening because she has no weekends/holidays. There is no daycare, kids are destroying the house all day and she needs a break from the kids now that you’re home
I am so lethargic when It comes to podcasts even if they are on agendas of my type and rarely takes them up to half an hour but see see damn look I watched this one all way to 46 minutes wohooo
Girl you’re forgetting when your parents trying to micro-manage you. I remember when my backpack got would get checked to see if if I’m hiding anything in it or anything and my mom was just sitting there watching my brother go through my bag and she didn’t even try to stop. Oh and my brother is 3 years younger than me. 🤦🏽♀️. It was soo hard for me to even try to drive I could never get my parents let me try to drive with them .
Not necessarily, our friends did go to the after parties. It’s also not a judgment on the people who do go. If they want to go they should go. We’re speaking on our own behalf.
