Oh wow, did this bring back some memories. Especially the pressbox and where I announced part time for the O-Rays in 1999, including the playoffs and the Southern League championship series which was won by the Rays 3 games to 1. Also, seeing the home team clubhouse brought back a lot of memories of doing my laundry down there (including during the playoffs), pulling tarp, and developing my announcing career. Crazy. I remember going to see MJ play there in 93 or 94. Played high school home games there in 05. It was eerie on that field. It was like we had ghosts around us on the infield.
Why does all the lights and power work in the stadium? Are they planning on doing something with it? I would have thought the city would have shut the power down to it since it's abandoned

The field still is in pretty good shape they should makes some upgrades and rebuild it a little so we can have 31 MLB teams. like if you agree. :)

the florida citrus bowl is being renovated. its been there for like 78 years.

it is in limbo right now. it was to be torn down. now its trying to be saved, or moved, or simply memorialized somewhere else via a smaller replica.
Complete and udder shame Tinker Field was demolished!
Jimmy Guzic Right. I think they built a memorial building paying tribute to its past. But the history is gone forever imo.
