But actually they were just the Shreveport Captains because the Shreveport-Bossier Captains weren’t founded until 2003 and they were a minor league team and played their home games at SPAR Stadium and later from 1986-2002 they played their home games at Fair Grounds Field and in 2003 they became the Shreveport-Bossier Captains.
They were founded in 1971 and from then on until 1985 they had played their home games at SPAR Stadium and then in 1986 they moved to Fair Grounds Field and played their until 2002 and in 2003 as the Shreveport-Bossier Captains.
I know this has been a few years ago but you should go explore the Fort Worth Cats stadium. I know they have security but it isn't that hard to avoid them. Great channel!
I would have liked to have been there. It's a shame that I can't do that anymore because of my health. Very interesting! You rarely see something like that, the player cabins and even a look behind the scenes. There is so much to see there. It must have taken you a long time there.
Love this video! Also not to criticize or anything but you forgot to link your first baseball exploration video! But love it anyway! What stadium is this and where is it? Which Captains team played here?
Goodness I’m getting an ungodly amount of spam on this video
Back in the 80's I would watch the Captains play here from the Beer Garden. In the 90's from behind home plate. Incredible shame.
It’s very sad
For those who want to know, this is Fairgrounds Field, in Shreveport, LA
It breaks my heart seeing a baseball stadium abandoned like this. It would make a great restore project to nurse that ballpark back to health.
This would be awesome if they renovated it back into a baseball stadium but modernize it
The team that played there was called the Shreveport-Bossier Captains
Thank you

It seems like this place could be repurposed as something...maybe an outdoor concert venue.
Exactly, anything is better than it just sitting there being unused, thanks for watching!
