For that kind of money, you could easily snag a GR Yaris, a Honda Civic Type R, or a Supra. Plus, let's be real, it's still a Renault at the end of the day. Their reliability record isn't exactly top-notch lol.

Yokohama says this on their Japanese site about the AD08RS: "About the performance of the ADVAN NEOVA AD08RS The ADVAN NEOVA AD08RS uses a compound with reduced rolling resistance to comply with European environmental regulations. Therefore, the sports performance is inferior to that of the ADVAN NEOVA AD08R sold in Japan. Please be careful not to make a mistake when purchasing." In Japan/USA, you can also get the AD09 in many more sizes than in Germany/Europe. Smallest size in Germany is 225/50 R17, in Japan they go down to 165/55 R15. Of course, popular sizes for older cars such as 225/45 R17 and 225/40 R18 are also not available in Germany...
The ad09 is said to be available in smaller sizes in europe at the end of this year! Seems like a great tyre too. The a052 is available in smaller sizes, just doesnt last as long.. thats the one thing the ad08rs does really well though: they last for ages
@@Kodaru The ad08r was more fun than the rs was and leagues ahead in terms of speed, but the ad08rs is really the ultimate endurance/learner track tire. It could cope with the heat of trackdays but would also last a 3000km roadtrip. It wouldn't be fast, but it would still be fun and economical. Most tires that last aren't fun and most fun ones don't last. From what I hear the ad09 is the best of both worlds, can't wait for them to come out in smaller sizes!
I had no issue running the AD08R as a daily with some fun times inbetween. Durability was ok-ish, not terrible. Might be true that the AD08RS would last 10-20% longer, but the grip level and confidence level lost they brought while also sneakily replacing the AD08R didn't sit well with me. Temperatures are usually lower in Germany, so heat is less of an issue than in other regions, aside of the few exceptions. @@quinthuyers126
I liked the mk3 Megane RS and wish these came in 3 door but in the flesh, these look even better than the mk3. They have a great, squat stance and it seems that the chassis is indeed one of the great ones as far as hot hatches go. I don't know how reliable they are but it's one of my favourite hatch designs ever; solid top 5 spot in my books.

yeaaah, I have always loved the Megane RS since the 265 came out! I ended up getting the 2014 GT220 in 2017 with only 3,500 on the odometer and it was quite fast because I drove it hard from the day I took delivery of it. But I always wanted to get the RS but haven't had the money.
Did you already try the GT on track ? Maybe not Nurb but another one ? Because maybe i will buy one and i know that its GT but sometimes going to track after work or a day for month to play with friends in track can be funny
@@aikhaa996 I did changed the exhaust only as the stock one didn't sound right, I've put Worx exhaust. Also I was planing to do a custom remap wich for I need to travel to Holland (in Ireland no one is doing it on EDC automatic gearbox) Also I wish for bigger brakes... unfortunately the stock alloys cannot fit anything bigger, im still researching. With these alloys I would have to use spacers wich will change the drivability of the car. Also I'm planing to change to a cold intake from the RS 300 wich needs to be addapted.
If Renault Sport ever done a modern AWD "Hot Hatch" like the others, it would be very interesting to say the least. They have a good design/engineering team behind them
Megane 3/4 RS are very good from stock, mod it and ou risk made them worst efficient, suspension here may be not a good idea. I don't like Renault but they do 2 awesome cars even if interior of M4rs is horrible and Renault bug of reliability still in it.
Good looking car the Megane IV R.S. IMo but it was the end of the bargain RenaultSport giant killer that it's predecessor was. Dealers in the UK were selling the 250 Cup brand new for 16k the 280/300 were like double and hardly any faster. Shame RenaultSport is no more

But these Yokohama are semislicks. Michelin PS4S aren’t semislicks, its a sport street tyre. His rival is Yokohama V107, in my opinion, better than PS4S

No, only an the Trophy-R. But the 992 GT3 and GT3RS have the same 4Wheel steering, so in my opinion it's a really good thing. I never owned a Hatch (Cupra and Type R) which was so planted on the streets (corners) like the 4RS Trophy.

AD08R was a great tyre. the AD08RS is like the step down from a PS4S* to a regular PS4.

In three and half years of ownership it had one fuel pump failure. Done 40k in it.

The 280/300 with a double clutch box is much faster and on the track it is much more effective than the Megane RS 3. Over time everything improves.

Also ever complain on Megane 3 and 4 RS that stupid limiter come too soon. Listen to the engine and drive by instinct is not possible as cutoff come tooooo soon
