My 40 year old Cuckoo Clock stopped working a couple years ago. Cleaned the movement with contact cleaner and relubed with no luck. I saw these Ultrasonic cleaners and decided to give it a try. For the cleaning solution I used Simple Green and water. After throughly drying it and lubricating with synthetic oil, it runs as good as it did when it was brand new. Surprising how much gunk was pulled off that movement. Very happy with the results.
Nice! These things really get into a lot of places you can't even see. Glad to hear your clock is working well :) Thanks for dropping by & have a great day! @RCInsiders
Have the same cleaner and mainly use it for jewelry, carburetors, and gun parts using a 1:4-5 solution of simple green. Does a pretty good job. The only problem I have is after the third time I used it the temp control doesn't work. The temp keeps climbing above the set point. Just have to keep an eye on it
Thanks for the heads up John! My only issue so far is that I can't stop washing stuff in it 🤣 Been pretty excited with the results so far. I'll try to make some future videos using different chemicals & mixtures. I've used simple green before & I know that works pretty well. I think the next thing I'll try is super clean as I've had great results with that as a degreaser. How long have you had your cleaner? Thanks for dropping by & have a great day :) @RCInsiders
@@RCInsiders I've been using it for about 5 years now. Latest projects were cleaning disassembled motorcycle carburetors from a Honda shadow 750 and a Honda xr250. Both carbs were really gunked up from using ethanol fuel and it did a great job 👍

Hi, Yes. I will coat lightly with 3-1 oil & let it sit for a bit & then wipe off excess. I have used wd before as well. Do you have a preferred oil for tools to prevent rust & build up? Thanks for dropping by & have a great day :) @RCInsiders
I guess I was expecting it to turn things new looking again. But, really when you're using tools they never look new. The important things is, they are usable again. Nice share👍👍7
Yes for sure, There are tons of different chemicals you can add to them for different effects. The most important thing to me is cleaning the areas you can't see or reach. This cleaner did a good job & next time I'll add some rust remover to add a little shine :) Have a great day! @RCInsiders

I have that exact model. I guess mine was made on a friday, it barely fizzes at all when it's on. Every one I see on TH-cam just blasts..not so much with my Vevor, ordered direct (not harbor freight)

If you put the parts in a jar with cleaner, you don't have to spoil the entire bath...so you can do multiple cleans with the same water. Nice video.
Thanks!

Does this method work just as good?

What size is the drain valve? The hose barb they sent was way too small. I'll just buy one from hardware store.
