    We need more tutorials on TH-cam with this attention to detail and dope Hip-Hop vibe. Much respect from Montana.

    Tapping into the black/red reverse trigger wire is a real winner, especially since on this model the reverse lights are in the trunk lid.

    • @fulldecent
      @fulldecent 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There are MULTIPLE red/black wires back here. I tried the one in the top bank and the middle bank-left. Both are always hot.

    • @IAM_HC
      @IAM_HC  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Exactly, I prefer not to make unnecessarily long runs of wire whenever I don’t have to. Thanks for gassing me up here lol 🙏🏽

    • @IAM_HC
      @IAM_HC  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@fulldecent gotta keep testing wires while cycling the shifter to see which one has matching voltage. Sometimes different years or different factories have anomalies. These cars were made in both the US and Japan so you never know.

    Hey can you tell me what color that wire you sliced into on the passenger side for reverse camera trigger

    • @IAM_HC
      @IAM_HC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It is a red wire with a black stripe. It’s unwrapped in the harness running along the lower trim just below the glove box.

      Yeah I had it laying around from another build. My taste has changed but was layed off at the time and desperately needed an upgrade. Next it’ll get a hand me down from my work van, a double din with Apple CarPlay. Stay tuned

    So is there no need to tap into the reverse light at the back of the car because you tapped in via radio in the front panel?

    • @IAM_HC
      @IAM_HC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Correct, run the reverse wire from the receiver, usually purple, to the in this case red wire with black stripe in the harness under the glove box behind that lower trim. This wire feeds signal to the reverse lights. Generally this is this shortest run option and doesn’t put an uneven resistance load in the system which may cause issues on sensitive vehicles.

    What if it has an airbag?

    • @IAM_HC
      @IAM_HC  ปีที่แล้ว

      Could you elaborate more? I just want to better understand to help otherwise, none of the features installed here can affect the airbags in the vehicle.
