I really loved that movie. I didn't watch Ultra Man when I was younger, but I still found this very good.
Yea this was really good. Luckily it was one of those movies where you didn't need to see any of the others
The story gradually got better and better as the movie progressed. Animation, pacing, plot, character dynamics, overall message..i would give it a 10/10. I decided to watch this movie for fun but didn’t expect to enjoy it this much. This movie is way too good to only be a Netflix original, needs to be in all theaters if you ask me!
Right!? I wish this movie made it to theatres. Such an amazing movie.
@@SonwayReviews just a prediction but maybe they didn’t wanna put it into theaters cause they’re worried that it will get overshadowed by the release of Inside Out 2, and making it a Netflix original would make more profit in the long run I’m not really sure but it’s such a pity.

I didn't like the baby kaiju concept
Plus why did they make onda look like the bad guy when he wanted to do the best thing for humanity
He literally even saved the lives of his soldiers too
There was honestly no reason to keep the Kaiju except for the fact that he has no friends and he was lonely 😭😭😭
He kept the kaiju because he still valued life. He always wanted that connection with his father so he went for the next best thing, hoping not to end up like his father. That was the whole theme of the movie.

His father literally asked him if they could train the Kaiju together and he asked his dad why would he train something that is meant to kill them and the father simply replied... Pls she needs us...

The movie was nice but the ending was inconsistent because there was so much potential but they made it confusing
The baby kaiju concept would have been nice if they convinced the general Onda guy that they could tame kaijus so everyone would be happy
But they didn't and they expected the guy to just let them ruin his plan and go Scotfree? It doesn't make sense
You imagine if you had like something threatening the lives of you and your family and one of your family members befriends that thing without explaining why, wouldn't you think that person is in the wrong
Honestly I might watch the second movie because 1, I wasn't satisfied and 2, because of how attractive the MCs face is but this movie is def not animated movie of the year

If he didn't want to be like his father he wouldn't have trained it
Because one of Ken's problems with his dad was that he cared more about kaijus than their family as shown by the scene where he was asking ken how he can party when one of the greatest creatures is dead(which was weird on its own because he himself fought gigosaurus probably with intent to kill)
Anyways he hates the fact that his father cares more about kaijus than him and there weren't even close so why train a Kaiju... Especially under suggestion from his father
Also you didn't address the part where I questioned the scene where ken asked why they would train something that was meant to kill them and his father ignored the question
The animation and character style is beyond perfect way better than the Ultraman series too... I could see it winning best character style and animation but the plot (especially in the last half of the movie) was not it and could have had a lot of potential
