Toyota Tundra TRD PRO ‘21 finally arrived! Bought it in Texas w/o mark ups & shipped it to Cali

- My apologies for the squeak, I dont want to spend $4,000 to $15,000 just for mark ups! i’d rather use it for upgrades, so i decided to go out of state. The process was easy but not as easy as buying it at your local dealership but purchasing it with no mark ups was totally worth it. If you have any questions about the process let me know, i’ll do my best to answer it.

FYI: to anyone who is planning to do the same just make sure the vehicle that you goin to buy have a 50 state legal emission sticker if the odometer reading is below 7,500miles bc if not you wont be able to register it in Cali, but if its more than 7,500 no need for the emission sticker.
A smart investment.. gas mileage is no matter when you have bulletproof reliability and rock solid resale value especially in a Pro
Also the COST of OWNERSHIP (Value) that provides peace of mind too.

Only issue with first gens are radiators, lower ball joints and exhaust manifolds. They will run for ever!

@@timfullerton3778 just the with no mark ups alone thats about $5k-$20k savings, smog requirements was easy, as long as the vehicle you’re goin to buy have the 50 state emission sticker for brand new and for used vehicle it needs to have over 7500 miles, doesnt need the 50state emission sticker and the smog it only cost me $50.00...shipping $1500 thats during holidays and i got -$1500 off msrp 👍🏽👍🏽

What was the process in buying it from Texas and shipping it to you? Thinking of doing the same if it saves a little more money.
it saved me a lot of money buy not paying any mark-ups, i just made a $1k deposit just to secure the vehicle, then they send me the purchase order which i send it to my credit union, after that, credit union will touch base with the dealership for all the paper works, they will also send you papers to sign and send everything overnight, once signed, credit union will send the check over to the dealership, once recieved, its time to look for a shipping company, i paid $1500 for shipping during holiday season but maybe its lesser now, when the vehicle arrives to you, it needs smog, then it needs vin verification at the DMV.... click on the description of this video to know more details. Why not wait until the 2022 comes out? If i was in the market for a tundra, i would wait to see if the new one blows the door off the current one.
You are right it might blow it out to some but i already had a V6 and i would rather have a V8 in a fullsize pick up truck and put a supercharger after a few years or so and also the 5.7L engine is already proven if you get the 2022 give me an update let me know how it is, thanks!
I would have to agree Toyota’s already saying it’s gonna be top of its class for years to come. 2021 is still a hell of a truck. I’m waiting for the 4th gen Tacoma.
FYI: it will be a few more years before trd pro’s will be available on the market for the new gen.

So since you said "without mark up" do you care to share what you paid for just the truck? Not including shipment? I live in Utah and i didn't see any markup on the Tundra i was looking at just recently. If not, no worries.
hi sure no problem, total is about $59K thats including california tax and license, but just the truck w no tax, msrp $55,892, i got it for $54,500 w/bedspray, charging connectivity kit and vehicle protection package, i hope i answered your question.✌🏽

thats a great price!! & its still a badas* truck even with no charging option or you can just buy it separately but get the bedspray if you can through the dealership its less of a hassle geting it done some where else imo, plus the dealership give you something to maintain the bedspray liner. Mostly the mark-ups are here in Cali for the tundra pro’s and there’s a few in other states, a week ago i saw a used 2020 tundra pro selling for $60K!

Hi John, i did the transaction over the phone/emails and overnight mails, i didnt have the time to fly bc this pro’s sell like crazy fast, you blink its gone, specially w/ a great deal, i got nervous too, but i ask for photos, videos and i texted more that way i got proofs whatever the deal is. I got my credit union pre-approval first before i made the deal, in that way the dealership wont keep my $1000 deposit if the deal didnt go through, my CU and the dealership did most of the paperworks i just provided what they need and sign, as an added peace of mind for me “ banks will not make a transaction if its not 100% legit or its not doable”, click on the video description for more info, good luck John i hope you’ll have it 🙏🏽

out the door price is $59,846 it came with a bedspray liner, connectivity kit and paint sealant.
Do you have to pay taxes on the truck in the state you purchase it in and again once the title is in your name in Texas?
So i bought the truck in Texas and shipped it to Cali, i paid the taxes in Texas since the tax in California is higher i just paid the difference. Let me know if you have other questions about it.Thanks!

@@yatusabes909 no, i did not get a title but i got a Texas vehicle registration, so when the truck arrived i had it smogged and went to DMV for VIN verification but before all that my credit union already send the necessary paper works to DMV so after Vin verification i waited for a day to get my Ca registration and license plate.
I'm literally doing the same thing with my Tacoma trd pro with a manual transmission! Only gotta pay the California sales tax 💩 but it's worth it!

Hey I’m trying to get mine in Cali I might have chance to put my hands on it I’m just curious how much in total you paid in Texas and with all those fees for smog and registration in California I know the cost of shipping i really appreciate if you can reply back about it
Hi so what i paid in Texas is the amount you pay when buying a car in cali, (since the car will be registered in Ca.)so for me i paid about $5k for tax & license, for everything it went up to $59k bc i got the truck for $54k now for the smog about $50 out of my pocket, that $5k they will send that to your local DMV, when u get to the DMV you will need to get VIN verification from them but you have to get it smog first after that you’ ll get your plates and registration, click on the video description to get more INFO and also my credit union was able to guide me in every step.
FYI before you smog the vehicle, your mileage needs to be about over 50miles or else it wont pass, im sure the smog tech will let you know about that but just in case he doesnt.

Congrats i have the army green. Just know that your truck no longer comes with a tranmission cooler, also your key fob remote start will stop working on your one year purchase anniversary. I just found that out myself, i have a 2020 trd pro. Now they want me to pay $8 a month to use my remote start. Smh...toyota is really starting to piss me off. The trans cooler delete is a serious issue, as the temps without it are 20% higher when towing. The tundra forums and You Tube have more info on that issue. It's still a good truck, just toyota is being cheap now. Charging for me to use my key fob remote start. WTF

I have the same truck. Make sure you get an external tranny cooler. The temps will get hot and if no cooler is added its gonna live a short life. I got one on mine and it's an instant 30 to 40 degree drop.

Cali dealership certainly lost their minds! I saw a couple of used pros selling for more than the MSRP! For my sales person just ask for Robert Medina and also i got info of the dealership and more, just click the description of this video.
Also look for private party sales. I just bought a 2014 tundra crew max trd off-road 4x4 with 66k miles for 28k also has expensive upgrades.

What a PITA way to save some pennies. You'll still get stuck paying CA sales tax on it PLUS you need to get it smogged. Time = money. Makes no real cents, er, sense.
