      My guess is that if one was to “wait for a review” of a 2022, finding a remaining 2021 may be a sailed ship as the 2022 is quite behind on production schedule and the re tool has already begun. I work within the automotive industry and I can tell you that any projects I’m working on that are 2022 tundra related are way behind.

    I was going to hold out for the new gen but ultimately decided to get a 21 and just enjoy the hell out of it for a couple of reasons. 1) 1st gens are usually riddled with issue 2) pricing could be significantly higher 3) when more info is released in feb mostly likely If other tundra enthusiast don’t like what is revealed we could see another mad dash for tundras making it harder to get your hands on one like early in the pandemic.

      @@UntamedMotors I'm biased too and I have no shame about that. We have a 21 4 Runner Limited too. My wife prefers the plushness of that set up vs a TRD pro. I can say I was a little disappointed she picked the limited. I went with the platinum because the deal I got down here in Oregon at Wilsonville Toyota was too good to pass up. 11% of MSRP. For some reason the Platinums here in Oregon are sitting longer. With that savings, I could either customize it however I want or do the "Platinum Pro" upgrades.

    I agree. The lunar rock has grown on me. Even though I'm more of a cement gray fan! I love the Tundra and have been looking for one for a while! I shouldn't have passed up on a good deal I found on Facebook Marketplace! The biggest killer is the gas mileage! I'm so used to getting nearly 19mpg in my 4Runner that has 247,000 miles on it! But, that's a great truck with bullet proof reliability!

    • @UntamedMotors

      That Ram is a solid choice... and unmatched when it comes to tech, comfort and refinement. It’s easy to justify where your money went in those beautiful rigs... which can sometimes be a tougher justification for the Tundra. Nice choice, congratulations. 👌🏻

    Definitely waiting for the next gen. The poor gas mileage and the lack of Blind Spot Monitoring on the Pro is a deal breaker for me. Of course the twin turbo V6 will give up some of the bulletproof reliability of the 5.7, but as someone who enjoys replacing my vehicles every 5-6 years, I am hoping that wont bite me in the ass. Glad you're loving yours, it is a beautiful truck and I like the choices you've made on tire size and accessories! Cheers and Happy New Years!

      Good point on the headaches/migraines... it helps alleviate all of the constant squinting while driving which is nice. 👌🏻 Do you tint your windshield at all or do the visor strip? I never have but am considering it...

      @@UntamedMotors I’ve done both and regretted (personally) doing the windshield. I currently have the visor strip on both vehicles and it helps a lot without blocking your line of sight with the visor down. I have to wear sunglasses even on cloudy days, but man, tint was a life savor for me overall. I know the 5% seems dark on the back, but pays off huge for summer sun and headlight glare immensely. Not sure if it’s a first for you, but I run the same set ups. Current tint is ceramic, but I think most tint is great! 👍🏼😎

    I have a 2019 Voodoo Blue TRD PRO - there are still a few things you need to do to your truck to finish your build which I have done to mine. You need an AMP step to help you get into the bed of the truck. A rubber bed mat for the bed of the truck. You need to change your interior lights to LED lights, also cargo and reverse lights. A 30 inch LED light bar for the front bumper - fits perfect. LED tail light bar (mounts above your bumper). Interior LED light kit that mounts under the dash and seats ($28 from Amazon). Front windshield tint (28 percent). I have the AMP Power steps, but my wife is short...LOL Install all this and then you will have a truly awesome truck...LOL

    Yup, gas milage off highway is terrible. Having you talk about cold weather starting, you will want to make sure your battery is up to snuff more then other vehicles. Toyotas are super reliable but with Tundra's, if the battery dips a little low, the starter won't engage. I believe it was designed as a safegaurd to protect the starter if it ever kept spinning over to disengage once the battery dropped to a certain level. But in severe cold (I'm from Canada) it won't properly engage when other vehicles with less voltage or reserve will. So long as the battery is up to snuff, then even if it's not plugged in, will start even at -40.

      @UntamedMotors  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good call man. I actually had to put in a new battery for my Tacoma the other day. Since my wife and I mainly drive the 4Runner and Tundra, the Taco is often left freezing day to day without startup. I bought a nice battery and a trickle charger. 👌🏻

      Hamid, I watch Untamed because he swaps his vehicles often. I too like to swap often. If you shop around to many dealers you can actually find someone willing to play ball and give you a fair deal with no negative equity carried forward, while also getting a discount off MSRP on the new vehicle you want. You just have to put in the work. The spread on my last swap was as follows. I contacted about 30 dealers. The worst wanted to roll forward $16,000 negative equity into the new vehicle transaction with absolutely no discount on the new vehicle. The best (the one I did a deal with) gave me $1,400 off sticker and carried no negative equity forward. That's a spread of $17,400 in my favour. It was worth my time.

People opt into them so they can loop the cost into their already big loan and not have to spend money “out of pocket” on it lol... it’s a money making option for sure by the dealer. I actually like having bare paint on my vehicles, there’s something therapeutic about being able to manage the protection applications yourself -waxing/sealing... etc... clear bras get imperfections too and often look just as bad as chipped paint imo. Removing them can sometimes be a huge pain...

      I placed an order for a SR with add ons in September. Supposedly getting built January 5th... Long wait, at this point 2022 isn't that far away

    Hello Sir, I love your channel and bought a TSS Tundra because of you! What size rims do you have? I would like to get your same set up. Thanks

      Thanks man! I really appreciate the support and I’m glad I was able to help assist in your decision to get one! =]
      These are the 18in TRD BBS wheels that come stock on the TRD Pro here. They are excellent wheels! If you keep an eye on the Forums, you may see someone selling their set. They go for $1200-1800 used.
