I have the 6.5 ft bed with a topper and a ladder rack it carries a ton of stuff while I travel around the country and I love it. I just use a trailer for all the toys. I can see why that shorter bed is tough with a topper but with that cover you also lost about a foot of bed on an already tiny bed.
I think TRD Jon is trolling you in his latest video. In his video title he refers to himself as the Toyota Simp. Intelligent people prefer your unbiased reviews and commentary. Your mods look 100% better. The cap was nice as far as caps are concerned but in my opinion it really takes away from the good looks of that truck! I would also have removed the deck system as well. It just takes up way too much usable space.
Personally, I still don’t get the hate behind TRD Jons channel. He’s referred himself as a Toyota Simp multiple times in the past as one and isn’t afraid of admitting being one. He likes Toyotas and at this point he embraces the newer platforms more so than Untamed. Not to mention, Untamed has a family to look after for, while Jon does not have kids. Love your Luna rock 2nd gen. Those v6s can kick rocks. I’ve accepted the fact that I am a grandpa with my campershell. With two kids I can always have our stroller and bike in the bed and dry. Incase of an EMP strike we can still be mobile and get to our destination. Some love the camper and others don’t. That’s okay, everyone uses their rig in different ways. I got a 2 bike motorcycle hitch carrier for when I transport our scooters. That’s a good option for bikes if you don’t want to remove your shell. Stay hard brother, tundra 4 lyfe
Another great video! Love the color-matched Arie bed topper. I would totally switch my tonneau cover for the Arie bed topper if I was at all handy. I like the extra practicality for my needs.
If you don’t need the weight of the sliders and you are using this for the kiddos so the step makes more sense. I am looking to get a Diamondback for my 23 Tacoma ACLB
I removed the shell off my Ram Cummins and sold it. Now I regret it… I’m thinking of buying a new shell again. My truck looked so cool with it on. My wife said it looked like a grandfather truck. But she’s a lot younger than me. My truck is lifted on 22” wheels and she liked it without the shell. But! It’s my truck and I’m going to get one again.👍

Much cleaner look now Untamed and you gained far more bed space at the same time. I have been eyeing the Truxedo Sentry CT as I like the ability to roll it up so it is out of the way if I need the entire bed. I also like the matte fabric finish as it is far more durable than vinyl. I still haven't decided on which sidesteps to purchase for my '21 Tundra, but those Go Rhino definitely look good on your Pro. 👍
Great choice, I’ve only heard positive things about that cover too. 👌 Thanks man, I certainly appreciate the more subtle look and added utility of this setup.
@@UntamedMotors Id say the only annoyance with the load n lock is the pull strap, Ive loaded the bed up and then realized that the strap was under everything. A removable yakima rack might be next, toss the yakima roof carrier on it for extra dry storage when traveling with the family etc..
Consider keeping the sliding drawer. Makes accessing cargo much easier and it also can be stopped in various places along its slide. You can partially extend the drawer slide and it will give you the full bed length again with the tailgate down. Although it does reduce the depth of the bed by about 4”.
Yep a goober, but toppers are really cumbersome and don't allow for use of the bed. The downgrade of the steps makes it easier for short people to get in.

Sorry, not a big fan of the new look. Imo I think it’s “just a truck” now. I think it’s a HUGE upgrade with the topper especially paint matched. The truck looked better with the topper. I got my tundra for camping and fishing so having a camper that locked was nice. It sounds like you have a few toys to put in the back of it so i get removing it. I do think the truck looks down graded but that doesnt matter. As long as the truck works for you and your uses.
