The weird Helmet from the Transition period overwatch soldiers is from the half-life Alyx Combine Suppressors, or you can call it The Antibody Protection Force
APF are synth soldiers.
The Transition Perion soldier isn't in game its fan made soldier.
Information: Combine Ordinal is the commander. In a squad, there would be 2-3 Combine Grunts or Echo-One and atleast 1 Combine Ordinal and Charger. Their purpose is to carry operations regarding the Vault.
These are good because the metro cops weren’t the only ones protecting the city, The grunts are just combine soldiers that belong in the city because combine soldiers have to go to the outlands to destroy resistance outposts
Nice and all, but Grunts, Ordinals, Supressors, and WH were always supposed to be outside (and inside) the walls. They weren’t just guards, but they were also retrieval teams, clearing out resistance bases, neutralizing xen lifeforms (with the ICU aswell) and much more jobs. Think of them as a multi purpose squad

There's an enemy in Hla called the Combine Suppressor
If you think these janky animations look great, just wait until you see them in Source 2 with inverse kinematic leg movement and almost a million different variations for how they move and aim/look in any number of directions.

u should try out stop motion helper to help make your intro skits, its a gmod mod thats really good for that stuff

i got so bored in gmod that i tortured the ragdolls of the HLA combines and putting ten bajillion lamps pointing to the combines eye and it was enough lamps to lag my game out

I was really thinking of making a mod for half life 2 using some half life alyx nps/assets to make it look more accurate, or at least have it with the half life alyx combine overwatch in it, but I dont know anything in how to make hl2 mods, no more do I know how to code. Oh well
So the grunt gas tube or what ever can be exploded and he will say some line and try stop it the weird mask is from the APF the Antibody Protection Force or like the enemy that uses it in HL alyx is the Suppressor

Combine supression was not in half life alyx at all it was made up by the dev i think.
