Steps helped me to solve it. 1.open network and sharing center 2.click your wifi connection 3.click properties 4.Then click on configure 5.Go to advanced 6.Change the 802.11nbandwidth frequency from 20MHz to 20/40MHz Auto . Hope this would help others too!!

So I thought the issue was that my PC was upstairs. No. The internet I had was capable of reaching devices very far. I was always lagging, only on my pc not phone. On minecraft my ping would spike up and down every 10 seconds, it was terrible. For the past 1.5 months I thought it was bcs I was far. No the problem was my windows was using 80% of my internet. What fixed it was the last step in gpedit. I set the %value like you said and I went on minecraft and my ping was so good and consistent. I owe you a big like I really APPRECIATE THIS! I ❤❤❤🔥🔥

Changing DNS: If you have multiple computers using your internet connection, it's probably better to change the setting on your router rather than in Windows.
Yep, even for a single device, that's the way to go. And the Google DNS server is located in the USA. Bad choice if you live overseas on the opposite side of the world. Response time slower than other local DNS servers provided by your ISP.
@@TheFlex420 WAN DNS setting on the router doesn't affect intranet routing or naming within the home. The computers on the LAN side would benefit from Router DNS setting regardless of whether they interconnect among themselves or not.
@@bwcbiz Changing the WAN DNS does effect name resolving of the intranet, only unless you have your own DNS server for that intranet's named locations. Otherwise you would have to use the WAN DNS to resolve names or your network will not work on named servers on the WAN side. A WAN DNS server will have no idea of what named servers you have running in your intranet, because you can not register a LAN IP with a WAN DNS server. It is more likely there will be no benefit from changing the routers DNS settings because your ISP load balances their DNS servers based on how many customers are using those servers and just picking some random DNS server out for your network will likely have load balancing issues since those servers are not meant for your network. This is why there are more than one DNS servers listed to be used. All servers can only manage so many IP's at one time and if that server has to many requesting, will slow down it's communication. Also you have no idea what other services are running on that network so they can easily throttle outside network requests so their network runs smoothly. Knowing how windows works in general with DNS cache there really is not point in changing your DNS servers, because windows will help circumvent this name resolving process after the first request for up to one day normally.

This video seriously helped me alot! It increased my download mbps from 3.18 to 52.37, and my upload speed from 1.8 mbps to 14.30 mbps! Apparetly, after installing the gdpedit thing, i realised that my bandwidth limit was for some reason, not limited by 20%, but 80% for some reason, so the final tip just like you said was definetely the most useful one in the entire video! the first method work wonders. changed my speed from 0.96 mbps to nearly 200mbps
