Thanks man! My previous download speed was 356.21, and my upload speed was 23.25.
1st Google DNS Test: Download speed of 388.07, and an upload speed of 23.43.
1st Cloudflare DNS Test: Download speed of 410.38, and an upload speed of 23.36.
2nd Google DNS Test: Download speed of 352.26, and an upload speed of 23.37.
2nd Cloudflare DNS Test: Download speed of 400.50, and an upload speed of 23.47.
I am going to be using the Cloudflare DNS. Thanks!

I feel like no one else has my problems with windows. I am on my third windows computer in 2 years now, and all have had the same issue. Every time there is a pending update queued(even if I click on setting/update and it shows no pending updates) my internet is throttled about 90%. Once I click check updates and click the newly queued update, the speed will go back to normal, but again be slowed down by the priority of the new update. This happens almost every day and no change between 3 computers, and one running windows 11. I have also changed internet providers and routers and changed all settings for automatic updates.
If my favorite game didn't require a windows operating system I would never again touch the garbage software. There was absolutely no issue like this pre windows 8... Insane!

Im not having issues with download speeds, I can get 600-900 download speeds but idk what happened but i can not get any higher upload speeds with my PC, never had issues before. I have a powerful PC tried to stream the last two days and its not get higher than 1Mbps. Help

On my MacBook air i get 875Mb/s on the same network with wifi6 and win11 i get 250Mb/s can't use the full potential of my wifi. On cable it goes over 1200Mb/s witch is fine.

The DNS server is not on your computer. Changing the DNS let's you access those servers remotely.

My speed is usually around 400mbps, but every now and then it will go down to around 5mbps and stay like that for most of the day, I struggle to load any webpage up. This has been the case for win 10 too. and I've had a this problem for as long as I can remember, even in a completely different property with a completely different internet provider. I am aware some providers limit speed during peak hours, but it is 98% slower. I run the same speed test on my phone, and my phone is always 50mbps. I don't get it.

Depending on what you have your router settings as, and if your using ethernet on ur computer. It's likely you have "shared bands" which means both 2.4 ghz and 5ghz bands are combined. Providers will say "this gives the best expeirence for long range connectivity and speed" But in my experiance this is usually BS. I always split the bands and use the 5ghz band on my phone. 2.4ghz is for low speeds but stays more stable at longer ranges away from the router, while 5ghz is the opposite and is raw power at short ranges. It could be phone related as well if your phone is on the older side, due to processor speeds or the wifi card.

I changed the DNS in the router settings.
My internet speed is only 10 mbps download and 1 mbps Upload, when I play random games such as Rocket league or Valorant even if i dont have anything else on the wifi I still seem to SPIKE often with my internet. I hope this DNS change helps.

In my country 1Gb/s is 24.90 BGN witch is 46.30 USD a month, the biggest plan is 50 BGN and that gives you 5Gb/s, and the speed is stable, my only problem is that on my Windows machines the WIFI speeds are very low somewhere around 250-300Mb/s and ping of 9-11 , on my Macs i keep the maximum speeds and ping 3-6.
