Bought one of these the other day just waiting for it to arrive, so im really happy to see someone actually dive deep into these trucks. Most reviews on this truck have mainly been aesthetics and running videos so im happy to see this video. Thanks MRC
Thanks for this teardown. @MakitRC brought me here from a recent video. Recently bought this model for scale building purposes, but I am brand new to the RC world. I have a lot to learn.
Awesome video, my friend. Really appreciate how you teach and show absolutely everything needed to know about these rigs in your deep dives. I know exactly who I will be looking up if ever any questioning on many rigs. Thank you 🙏🤍
@TheShopMiniRC I have come across an issue with a great question for you that is mind-boggling to me. I would most definitely appreciate any help. I've gotten back into my FCX18 LC80 that has been parked for months, and now I remember the only reason why. When I steer right, it will simultaneously take off in reverse. Any insight on this issue? I'm at a loss through all my research and reading the manual. Ican't find anything on it, and I just can't diagnose the issue for the life of me. I've gone through the binding process, as well. Wth is this?!!
@@OkieDokieBoi well that is pretty wild. Maybe look at being 100% sure your transmitter batteries are new. They do weird things when the tx batteries are low. If it still does it, I’d reach out to FMS.
@TheShopMiniRC so I have deciphered the problem. Well, kinda. But it is fixed now. I have not a clue why, tho. Instead of tearing out the ESC/RX, I first decided to take apart the remote and take a peak inside. All looked very well, so I threw it back together, gave it another shot, and viola! I dunno if that's what did it, or maybe the rearranging of the batteries. I dunno, but I do suspect the batteries, as well, tho they are the same batteries right back in there. If it ever does it again, I'll go for batteries first thing. But that was pretty wild. I'm so happy to have him back now, esp with his big lil brother on the way. Thanks again for the advice, my friend 🤘🧡
I've seen the fcx18 video every time, but this is the first time I've broken it down like this. Thank you for your hard work, and I subscribe and like it. Thank you 👍
Just a heads up... They do already have many upgrades available for this truck on the FMS site, including the interior with driver for it. I had it all in my cart last night, but am nervous to pull the trigger as I have already bought four 1/10's and accessories in the last few weeks, lol! I am jonesing for it hard, tho...
Go with the flow. Funny enough I chromed my discs a few days ago and also ordered the steering link from 3flow9 today before watching your video 🤣. Really pleasant to deal with and answered my question really quickly . Just have to wait now as I'm in the uk ,
@TheShopMiniRC sorry for the duplicate message. It changed to your next video before I sent it and I wasn't sure where it was sent to lol. Keep up the good work buddy
There's a lot of confusing overlap with the names of these 1/18 trucks and upgrade parts . Can you tell me which of these drive shafts would be the most likely best fit for the new FMS K10 ? Thanks ! Hope you enjoy it , its a fun truck for sure! We definitely noticed that most reviewers just do a very surface level review.
Another in depth real review, know it takes hours and hours but worth it at the end. Keep it up man!! 👍
Man… it takes a LOT of editing. lol. But yeah, we hope it’s worth it for everyone. ;)

Huge thanks for watching. We try to show as much as we can. We figure we might as well educate some while we review. ;).

@@OkieDokieBoi haha. Yeah, sometimes just taking it apart fixes it. I’ve had stuff like that happen too and I’m like “wtf did I even do?!??”
Yeah I got both trailers, yeah I’m eyeballing that new rig here watching now Tuesday morning pouring rain no work today yay
Thanks for watchin!!
Yeah my favorite with the tailgate opens on the trailer
Definitely.
Love the music bed in the intro!

Haha. I mean, it’s a pretty cool truck. And yeah, they do, but worth the help it gives others. Thanks a ton for watching.
I suspect fms will be using this longer chassis fr a 6x6 soon. My fingers are crossed!
Mayyyybe.
Yeah I love how the hood opens and tailgate, I’m eyeballing the black and red one dang it 😁👍👍
So good!

FCX Rocks. Wanna see it on some CrawlerTrax! 😉
Thanks a ton. We will have to get some of that. ;)
@@TheShopMiniRC That would be EPIC! We haven't got ours yet... but it will soon be on the way!
I wish they would have just widened the wheel wells in the back to accommodate the shock towers. Not scale but more aesthetic in appearance.
They also could have laid the shocks down some.

Great video dude these things do look killer recon it's a 1/18 yeah and I'm putting money on it that axial do a scx18 soon.
I Donno. Axial seems pretty set with 1/24. But maybe.
Peut on connecter un bruiteur GT Power engin sound dessus ?
Il faut esc et récepteur séparé, pas de boitier 2 en 1..

You should be able to find fcx18 driveshafts specifically. You can also measure the length and find a matching length from an scx24
Nice! Is this filmed in Utah? Great truck.
Colorado.
Where can I get high clearance links for this? I’ve been searching and I can’t find any

Is it water proof? Im just nervous to run it through water and dont know if its fine or i should be careful.
Water resistant. It’s not a submarine. ;)
Im surprised this has plastic gears, yet the smaller cheaper fcx24m has all metal... That's the only part holding me back.
It’s still a damn good truck.
what protocol is the receiver using?
The Flysky RTR protocol.

Wondering when will see straight axle version, portal removes realism.
The original version of this truck is straight axle. Also, Meus just made a straight axle conversion for the fcx platform.
Anyone know if the lc80 or k10 charger is a balance charger I wanted to get away with it for a little before I buy a nice charger and bigger battery
It should balance charge, but I still recommend a good charger.
I didn't like the lack of interior details and clear windows. Disappointed.
There is an interior you can buy!
I like the FCX18 chassis but the body mounting is so terrible & certainly no better than a toy grade rc from Tyco or Nikko in all honesty.
Definitely not toy grade but yes, the mounting of the body could be better
