I got the Kate Somerville sulfur wash because of your recommendation and use it as a mask while I wash the rest of myself in the shower or while I brush my teeth. I was really struggling with constant breakouts and my skin becoming so oily in recent years (yay mid-30s!) but this paired with your “skincare for your 30s” routine has honestly made SUCH a difference. Thank you a million times ❤🙏🏼
I got into the Kate Somerville sulphur cleanser due to your recommendation. I was getting fairly spotty, for some unknown reason, and it made my skin so much better. Thank you! 🥰
The Prequel Gleanser is super elegant. The Versed The Purist Antioxidant Cleanser was a surprise favorite: gentle and one of my favorites for the morning. The Naturium benzoyl peroxide cleanser is my favorite for when I'm breaking out (I also love their Niacinamide Cleansing Gelee.) For clogged pores I always go back to the CeraVe Renewing SA Cleanser. And one last one I love when my skin is dry or in the morning is the itk Milk-to-Foam Gentle Cleanser.
Oily and super sensitive skin here. My game changing cleanser was Weleda's Oil to Milk. Aveno would leave to much oil on my skin, and I would break out. La Roche Purifying was almost great but too drying with regular use, and I would break out. Who knew an Oil type cleanser would balance me out. But Weleda was *chef's kiss*
I love the dermalogica clear start. I seldom have any breakouts to need this kind but I love how it makes my skin feel. Does a great job taking off makeup, doesn't irritate my eyes.
The standouts for me this year have been The Inkeylist Hyaluronic Acid Cleanser Cerave Hydrating Foaming Oil Beauty of Joseon Ginseng Cleansing Oil Pacifica Glow Baby AHA Cleanser E.l.f. Holy Hydration Cleansing Balm for makeup removal. I never get those racoon eyes! It works so well and it's so affordable! I finally got in an order for the Prequel Gleanser so I can't wait until it gets here!
For my acne prone sebaceous filament skin - I like this one - La Roche Posay Effaclar Foaming Gel :) Which is much more affordable for me that Kate Sommerville
My favorite cleanser at the moment is The Ordinary Glycolipid Cleanser. It doesn't have a scent, it's gentle and it removes my make-up without stripping my skin
Hi, I've got oily, acne prone skin + sensitive skin and I'm so confused on what to use, was thinking of trying out, simples purifying facial wash Disclaimer... in my part of the country I'm in cleansers are such a rare something so most of the time is you ordering 😅
I actually really like my Neutrogena or Ethique facial soaps. Curious your view on those? I like that there's no plastic and my skin feels great. I have sebaceous filaments on my nose and use the sulfur mask (thanks to your rec!)
Can you please make a video about korean skincare? Please i really need your advice 🥹🥹🤍🤍🤍/ im in love with your channel btw and I’m thinking of getting into dermatology because of you 🤍🤍
46 y.o. w/ mostly oily skin. I swear by Cerave renewing SA cleanser - daily, Rael Miracle Clear exfoliating cleanser 2-3 times a week, Bliss Micro Magic microdermabrasion renewing scrub 2-3 times a week.
Fell in love with the Kate Somerville one after your recommended but now I’m worried I can’t find another bottle because it’s sold out everywhere! All in all though it’s made such a difference in my skin, thank you ❤❤❤❤
Venn Moisture Balance all in one dace cleanser. It is a Korean brand. A bit pricey, but I leave it on as a mask while I do face massage, gua sha. The texture goes on silky and milky. It is also a good daily gentle exfoliating treatment.
My favorite cleanser for years has been Purity by Philosophy yet I never see any YT derms recommend it. Since it’s not the cheapest out there, I am trying others and like one from the Ordinary better than CeraVe.
With all of the devices you have discussed in your videos, but I have never heard you talk about the Nira laser. I’m wondering if that is because you don’t care for it or you just haven’t gotten to it. Can you tell us what you think?
Should teenagers use physical or chemical exfoliants? Also, the Hero Cosmetics Exfoliating Jelly Cleanser has konjac jellies, bhas, and phas. But, they say to use it daily. Is 2-3x a week better?
I like to use cleaners with actives like masks (like you taught me). What actives shouldn’t be left very long on the skin between the nose and upper lip?
I’ve been using the Fresh Sou cleanser, it takes off make up residue (after first cleanse) and it’s quite soothing on my dry, eczema prone, sensitive skin.. I’m always afraid to try a new one because I never know what might happen!
mugwort cleanser from round lab. so creamy, so gentle, and face looks noticeably less red after I use it. i have a little tomato face for unknown reasons and this helps tone that down so I can use serums for things other than redness
I used the La Roche-Posay Lipikar Wash AP+ and absolutely LOVED it. I also tried RoC Barrier Renew Gel-to-Foam Cleanser and really liked it too but not as much as the La Roche-Posay. I try to only use water in the morning unless I face basted the day before. Side question (not about cleanser) but what is the benefit of Propolis (if any)? I use Cosrx Propolis Full Fit essence because I like the texture, and how it leaves my skin but I don't know if there are any benefits. I have a weird skin... mostly dry (super tight after wash), sensitive at times and have vascular rosecea (no bumps just redness and broken capillaries).
i have oily skin n i use salicylic acid face wash but my blemishes are not fading and i easily get blackhead it i use ne product so can i niacinamide serum 10 % to reduce blemishes can i use it after salicylic acid cleanser directly
Hey, I’ve always had dry skin and never had visible pores, I woke up a few days with big pores around my t-zone area. It’s like they got enlarged overnight. Would you be able to help me what might have caused that? I cleanse at night and do retinol every other day following moisturizer, and salicylic acid/ glycolic acid once a week
tbh my fav this year has been the ZO exfoliating cleanser! would love to know your thoughts on ZO’s medical grade skincare line as i am interested in getting more products by Dr Obaji! but would love your input!
Hey I’ve been using essence’s niacinamide with pomegranate on my combo skin (only my T-zone is oily the rest of my face is normal) but every time I use it the next morning my T-zone is oily can you tell why it’s happening and what I can do to make it stop?
Question: can I use the zinc oxide cream (rash cream) every night? Or should I use it maybe on alternative days. I have combination skin. I’ve already been using it for the past few days, and my skin already feels so soft! Love it! ❤ Love you and your videos ❤
Hello I have a lot of sensory issues and hate the feeling of sticky skin, do you have recommendations for products that are good but not sticky feeling?
Ive been using the Aveno Calm and Restore thanks to your recommendations and love it. And i use either bio, derma, micellar, water, or the elf holy hydration before hand. I like the elf a little more than the micellar water
A girl with dry, sensitive skin and rosacea, with occasional zits here and there, which cleanser would you recommend for my type? I’m trying to figure out my skincare routine, as I’m 31, so smth anti-aging also is required, but I can’t figure it out 💔 please help!
@shereeneidriss hi. can you use the Kate Somerville sulfur cleanser daily safely? or would you recommend it less frequently 2-3x/week? also, do you recommend more serious exfoliation few times a week? or does that produce more sebum?
@shereeneidriss Hi Dr. Idriss, hope this message finds you well, I’m an aspiring dermatologist myself and right now I’m a junior in high school. I wanted to ask what steps you took to become a board certified dermatologist, what major did you choose and what major would you recommend to be best suitable? How to decide what school has the right premed program. And how to apply to med school. I am currently taking as many science courses as I can and enrolled in advanced programs through an in state college. I am constantly researching what steps I need to take in order to become a Dermatologist and I thought what better to do than ask one herself. I absolutely adore you and your channel and wish you nothing but the best! ❤
I need to cross the border to the good old USA because here in Canada they do not carry sulphur skin care except for only one! Ahh! Bellis Fair here I come!
I have very dry skin and rosacea in the winter and use the hydrating cleanser from CeraVe. But its now summer and I have noticed I am much more oily in the summer and the hydrating cleanser makes me more oily and makes me break out. Which cleanser is great for the summer which is suitable for rosacea that won't make me oily and break out?
CeraVe also makes a hydrating cream to foam hydrating cleanser.. it's not over drying, but I feel like it gives me a deeper clean. Their gentle foaming cleanser is also nice.
@@kayterra27 I was contemplating the both of them. Between the foaming cleanser and the cream-to-foam one. I can't decide. Having oily skin in the summer and extremely dry in the winter is a real pain.
Lira clinical MYSTIQ ILUMINATING CLEANSER Purify skin with this luxury skin brightening cream cleanser, both hydrating and soothing with Mastiha, Orange Plant Stem Cells and a bold botanical blend. Gently removes make up and dirt.
Hi Dr Idriss Another doc (cosmetic surgeon ) on TH-cam says foaming cleaner is bad for your skin, What’s your opinion on that? I feel like most non foaming cleanser just can’t clean my t zone well enough 🥲 What’s a combo skin to do….

@@canary929 personally not super long. probably between 2-5 minutes on average
So happy it's working for you! 🫶
@@canary929 my reply doesn’t seem to be showing up, so just in case: I leave it on for about 2-5 minutes
Where to find the skincare for your 30s please? Thank you!

Love that. Thank you for sharing!

I’m loving the neutrogena stubborn texture cleanser in the red bottle. It’s very gentle and non drying but great for my annoying jawline acne.
I love Elemis- the cleansing balm followed by the cica calming foam. Only in the evening of course. I have rather dry skin, btw
