    Okay but I honestly love your videos so much more than Hyram, you are so genuine and humble never doing the most "clickbait" type of content, seriously thank you for sharing your experience with us & your recommendations have taught me so much! I recently graduated cosmetology school and they went over skincare but only briefly like with you combined with others in the youtube community you have all taught me sooo much that has helped my skin insecurities (acne, redness, and large pores) and to help others with thank you times a million :)
    Edit: I'm so surprised you deserve so many more subscribers

    Thank you for making this video :) I am a little too scared to apply a chemical (retinol) to my face each night.. BUT I have pure rosehip seed oil and in just 10 days I have noticed a massive difference in my skin - smoother, less spots, less oily, just over all better. It's not oily... I LOVE it!! x

      You're welcome, I'm glad you liked the video! Yes I can understand, as retinol is quite strong! Yes rosehip seed oil is just amazing, i'm glad you have seen such good results in a short space of time! I find it is really great at controlling the oil level in the skin! :)

    So informative thank you!! My mum has organic rosehip oil in her room i will ask her for some and test it! She got it from a natural products shop so hopefully its good :D if not i will get this one you showcased! I also got the retinol you recommended me on the previous video! Thank you Sam, now the wait starts x 🙏🏻💕

      You're welcome, thank you so much for watching. Ahh yes that would be a good place to start. Yes most rosehip seed oils are organic and cold pressed, so are very good for the skin and have all the nutrients in them. Yay I hope you get great results with the retinol. Would you say Rose Hip oil by the Ordinary is good for young teen skin for hydration? I'm a bit scared to use it as many people use it as a anti-age oil and it might effect my skin when I'm older? Thanks! Great video!

    • @SamCleggMusic
      @SamCleggMusic  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I would! I’ve been using it since 18 and don’t worry it’s not strong enough to be scientifically proven to be really effective at anti-aging like retinol and other vitamin a derivatives are. And any anti aging effects will keep your skin looking younger for longer.

    I actually use a little bit of both with my skincare regimen. I shift between The Ordinary Squalane Cleanser and Estée Lauder’s Nutritious cleanser, T.O. Hyaluronic acid, little bit of rosehip, little bit of retinol and the TO surface moisturizer. My skin has never been this smooth or glowy. I’ve even noticed my pores are smaller.

  • @saimakhokhar9111
    @saimakhokhar9111 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I was waiting for that specific video, thank you so much for all the information! I’ve already tried the Rosehip seed Oil from TO so i’m definitely going to try that retinol ! But my face is a little bit sensitive so I don’t know if I should directly go on a 1% retinol or gradually and step by step. What would you recommend?

    • @saimakhokhar9111
      @saimakhokhar9111 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I know that TO have the same retinol in squalane but less concentrated (0,2% and 0,5% also)

    • @SamCleggMusic
      @SamCleggMusic  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@saimakhokhar9111 You're welcome, thank you for watching! Yes I do think if your skin is sensitive then I would recommend to try the lower percentages first to see how your skin reacts, however I have never had any issues with the retinol and have experienced more sensitivity with niacinamde products and even some moisturisers than the 1% retinol. Thanks for watching :)

    I’ve used a retinal serum before, but it seemed to be a bit to harsh on my skin. Would you say the oil is less irritating then others you’ve tried?

    • @SamCleggMusic
      @SamCleggMusic  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Ahh I see. This is actually the only retinol I have used before, so I can't comment on whether it would be less harsh than a serum, however I found this way less harsh on my skin than some of the other actives like niacinamide. In fact I have had more issues with some moisturisers than this, so for my skin it is super gentle :)

      If it’s gentle on your skin, I’m betting it will be fine on mine considering my skin isn’t particularly sensitive.

    is it okay to use rosehip seed oil in the morning and retinol 1% every other night?

  • @ashleypark5022
    @ashleypark5022 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    In your blackhead video, you recommended to use the rosehip seed oil after all the other products. but now, do you think the retinol is better?

    • @SamCleggMusic
      @SamCleggMusic  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Both of them are great! the key difference is retinol is a synthetic vitamin A (Man-Made) so it is more potent, The vitamin A in Rosehip oil is natural and less harsh. I would start with Rosehip oil if you are new to oils. I recommended it in my blackhead video, as I wasn't using the retinol in my blackhead areas at that moment in time. :)

    Do NOT put this on your skin if you have oily skin. It's awful. My skin was so much better after a few products I've been using but I thought I'd give this a try as well as the peeling one as I had big hopes because of all the nice reviews. Bad idea. I had so many new spots full of pus the next day including my nose and the side of my nose which never happened. This is definitely not for oily skin. No not leave in and go to sleep because you will regret it.
