While the party is on their way to Gralea to reclaim the Crystal, Noctis is tricked by Ardyn Izunia into pushing Prompto off the train. As they are under imperial attack, the party is unable to stop the train and are forced to leave their friend behind to be captured by the empire.
Later, Prompto awakens in an imperial stronghold and manages to escape captivity. Now he must fight his way out of the base and find his way back to his friends.
Episode Prompto was rather enjoyable. I feel like it's different from the main game, providing a different experience. Good story and definitely worth the $5!

This was my favorite of the DLCs because it explained so much about Prompto. I understand now why he was always so talkative and trying to make witty jokes all the time, because he was just trying so hard to fit in when he always felt like he didn't. Beautiful story.

That is really me. I was second year of high school, my whole class had shut me out I became very depressed because of that. Since then I had a sever fear that people just had me around because they pitied me. Even when I found really good friends the fear still remains in my subconcious
I mean it could be half warranted like if you really annoying and not self aware and hog a conversation and are creepy, or it could be your fine and have an asshole class, or a mixture of both. It’s hard to say ya know. That’s why I’m insecure.

I've seen a live stream of people playing episode Prompto, which included Ray chase (the voice of Noctis) and Robbie Daymond (the voice of Prompto), and Robbie was salty about the fact that he wasn't voicing Young Prompto, but he would have understood it more if they would have cast a child actor instead

I identified with Prompto so much... I didn't and don't have many friends because I'm socially awkward. I was always left behind, and I felt my friends were annoyed by me. Still feel this way. I'm even married and feel like I'm a burden to my husband. I was never popular. I was chunky when I was little. I've never been attractive. All I ever wanted to truly feel like I belong. But I'll never feel that way because of my self-doubts. That's why he was and will forever be my favorite character.

Honestly, I can relate to you (well, except for the marriage part, not in a relationship). The self-doubt is like a sucker punch to the heart and mind. I have social anxiety as well as low self-esteem and I too constantly feel like I'm an annoyance to my friends and that I'm not attractive. It really hurts at times too.
Although slowly, I've been trying to find the good things about myself. Like, when people compliement you, instead of inwardly rejecting it, I try to accept it, to really feel like what they're saying is true and that they aren't doing it to play me like a fiddle. That I think about the stuff I like doing, like writing and singing and I think about the times that I was recognized for my achievements. Then I look in the mirror and try to see the good, physical parts of myself. I think my eyes are nice, my hair is pretty. I look at inspirational quotes and stories about people are like me. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I to find healthy, good ways to make me feel better about myself.
I feel your struggle and I sincerely want you to feel better about yourself because I think you deserve to. If you haven't already done so, try talking to your husband about how you feel. He might help you. Look up stories about people who are like you and have felt better about themselves, it might encourage you. And find things you like doing and that you feel good about (and if you don't think you have any, find something). But feeling good about yourself isn't gonna happen quickly, keep that in mind.
Take all the time you need to feel better and to have confidence in yourself. Rooting for ya 💜

Genuinely though Aranea is perfect. She's that wonderful combination of offering her support but not letting her efforts go to nothing. If you won't put effort into yourself, she won't do it for you - and she lets you know that that's the case. WHAT A GOIL

Arisa Nakamoto actually I don't think that's the case. I beat this DLC for the first time yesterday and I was scanning the environment before you see Ardyn meet with Verstael. The capsules that you see with humans look nothing like Prompto
They said here that Prompto was unique and that he looked different and the same as Versatael (idk the spelling)

I was about to say, this episode does give off a Metal Gear Solid vibe.
This Episode by far was the most darkest but coolest out of the three of them! The last boss was simply terrifying and HUGE! I loved Ardyn's imitation of Prompto @45:51 XD

I'm not a huge XV fan, so this is the first time I'm learning about Prompto... this was unexpectedly dark considering his personality. He and Cloud are very similar o.o
He reminds me more of Zidane from Final Fantasy IX, a member of a mass-produced species designed to be puppets but gains sentience and a soul because of friendship yadda yadda.

He meant that he didn't have a real family and probably no one would tell him where he was actually from.
This Dlc takes place after he fell off the train in chapter 11 and before Noctis finds him in chapter 13.
I think he knew he was an outsider to some extent but didn't know much beyond that. I'm not sure it's ever made clear how much detail he knew as a kid, but considering he had been a baby when he was moved, probably very little.
Imagine building something so rediculously big and expensive only to be beaten by two people on a cheapo snow mobile.
Maybe he should have saved his money and transferred his conscious into one of those.

Storm Driver yeah, that's probably the one thing that bugged me.
While it is annoying, it's actually fairly realistic. People tend to talk over each other a lot in real life, while also not realizing how often it actually happens.

finally watching this after all these years, the only dlc i never played.
Some people might think it's laziness but I think it would've been better if prompto in the intro was wandering the snow with his original outfit. Sure I doubt he'd actually survive wearing that but I think it would've emphasized more on how much he is suffering, and then in the facility he finally finds a snow outfit. I just don't like the fact he pulled a snow outfit out of nowhere without showing how he got it.
