I finished watching a 5 1/2 hour game cutscene version of this today (had a little bit of gameplay in it) and my eyes still hurt from crying 😭 I'm watching this now and I'm crying again. It's just....SO FREAKING GOOD! ❤ (this coming from the girl who has never played a FF game in her life and who knows barely anything about it....but now I wanna!!)
to be honest i didnt feel shit for her. the moment you meet her she dies.... didnt get a chance to really feel for her. Id say i would feel worse if her dog died because i got to at least interact with it.

Such a powerful emotional story that Final Fantasy XV has it has got to be about the only game to have ever made me shed tears not sure if I'm the only one to have done so though but I watched Final Fantasy XV Kingsglaive and then this and now have seen the entire story though I won't play the game but I have gotta say that Final Fantasy XIII so does not even come close to how epic this games story was a 10/10 to Square Enix plus Aranea's photo was absolutely hilarious lol that added to the epic nostalgia of this video
Won't get into the details but FFXV is an amazingly good story told in an amazingly flawed game. Hell, you can't even get the whole plot unless you watch two animes and a movie! Aside of that, the biggest issue is it was ridiculously fatalistic and tragic, which made it a very controversial premise for a main Final Fantasy series release.
I have question for "anyone" who has beaten the game. In the cutscene during the credits where noctis confesses to his pals, there were two versions of it. From what I saw in this video when noctis tells them they're the best the screen then looks up in the sky. But from what I saw the scene noctis stands up smiling at them then saying they're the best. Why was there different version of the cutscene? Also to add from what I saw from the video, the scene for example in the beginning of the game they show you the title "The Tale of the Chosen King, Savior to the Star" they never show that kind of visual animation instead I get like a transition of title with no visual animation to it. Why is it also different???
Jeez. Only 2.5 hours? No wonder this game felt so friggin short. FFX, FFX-2, FFXII, FFXIII, FFXIII-2, LR:FFXIII, they all had 3-5 times as long of stories.
I'm seeing people that beat this game in 25 hours or less if they don't spend too much time on sidequests. I beat it in about 40 hours but I also spent a ton of time on sidequests.
I hate how male protagonists of Final Fantasy still looks like early 2000s emos. Disgusting, cringy, outdated and overused look. Why can't we have males that look like males? What's with Japan's obsession with doll looking emo boys???
Ravus is so much hotter in the game then he is in Kingsglaive. I'm guessing the same person voiced him, but maybe he just got better lines in the game is why I like his voice so much better here.

And Noctis with Prompto sitting on the roof of a building or billboard? It seems like not everything from the trailers are here but otherwise, it's well put together!
All of that was for trailers. There wasn't enough time to finish the game, so a lot was cut out. Hell, the entire original plot of Versus-XIII was cut.

Luna and Noctis are dead, they marry on the afterlife. Prompto, Ignis and Gladio survived, the campfire scene was just a campfire they had before they enter to Insomnia to kill Ardyn. That campfire was to show how difficult it was for Noctis to say farwell to his friends, since he knew he had to sacrify to kill Ardyn in the afterlife. The group had to accept it, cuz it was Noctis destiny.
I hate to admit it but this final fantasy series is a whole new world it's not the final fantasy series of old so I would call this and 13 on the new final fantasy series even 11 strayed from the true path of what final fantasy of old was all about🤔💛🤔

the thing is...the reason that scene is heavly speculated is because it could have been those metaphors moments where the main character has everybody that love him behind his back
Fjuncaj boy is descendant of a royal family with a bad past, girl is descendant of royal family with good past. They need to have a wedding for tradition but they had to meet. Everything goes wrong, and someone who used to be a hero is jealous of the royal family so for fun he screws up the wedding killing the girl. They go out for revenge, the land gets cursed the main character is trapped in a crystal for like 30 years, he comes back and hunts the killer, he dies in the process so he can banish his enemies soul to save everyone because he’s immortal. And yeeeah, that’s pretty much the story in a nutshell
Don’t know but it’s probably something along the lines of modern world with a tragic protagonist in some way or another. (Judging based of the other two ff games I’ve seen)

it normally takes 30-40 hours to beat the story but you can cheese your way through it if you run away from a lot of the fights.

There are many quests you can undertake by sleeping on Havens or Hospitals etc. Noctis and Prompto sitting on a building is part of that.
Yeah so many cut scenes, like two you mentioned, were removed for some reason or only appear under very specific circumstances

This game was rushed out too early. They didn't have enough time to make a game of this size, and it suffered. A lot of story was cut out.
