14:23 Holy cow, that’s a tiny little thing. I know the dynamics and theory behind the lower rolling resistance of steel wheels in steel rails, but that is impressive, nonetheless. I would live to have a nice piece of property like that, and use the train to move firewood to the house and barn. At least then, I could have the thing work for it’s keep, as well as have fun. I did lawn care this last year, and I have a suggestion for you. Set up a flatcar with a backpack leaf blower. Have the nozzle pointing forward, and it can blow some of the debris out of the turnouts before you get to them so it cleans out the points. Also, I have used leaf blowers to clear sidewalks instead of breaking my back with a shovel. I found it much more effective at clearing the compacted snow from footprints. The air gets under that pressed snow, and flips the chunks out of the way. I would imagine that in the winter, you might set up a pair, and it would look similar to a high-speed mainline, where the shear forces of the trains keep the snow from collecting on the tracks. @@steamlogger I think it doesn't take much tilting of the train for its center of gravity to move ten centimeters and fall outside the rail support base. As for the derailment, my opinion is that overturning is almost certain here.
LOL. in this video the owner of the railroad is using such a stick to move other branches back from the track. th-cam.com/video/F_9xNi-8VJc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=-ucnihzOdzvTnf0w When taking video I don't have enough hands. I show stopping to move sticks of the track. Thanks for watching.
I honestly think that line is too big! While it is obviously stupid running round and round in circles on a small line I wonder if that is too long. There seems little variety nor a use for the line. What do others think? Can I add that if I had that much space and money I would put in say a coal mine or a town and run trains to and from instead of literally miles of tracks seemingly just put there because there is the money.
@@steamloggerпонятно, что узкая колея дешевле и проще в обслуживании, но согласитесь - приятно сидеть внутри вагона, под крышей. И не бояться, что случайное движение приведëт к сходу с рельс. It ran almost like a manual transmission auto. It didn't pull much hence the change to battery. Thanks for watching.
@@steamlogger do you have construction video
@@யாதுமாகிதமிழன்I don't have any video from construction but on whitecreekrr.com there are some photos.
It seems to be a race all over the globe, who makes the train with the narrowest gauge. Is no one afraid that it might topple over ?
These trains are one eighth full-size and are quite stable. We go less than 5 MPH (8 KPH), and if the train derails, they don't topple over.
@@steamlogger I think it doesn't take much tilting of the train for its center of gravity to move ten centimeters and fall outside the rail support base. As for the derailment, my opinion is that overturning is almost certain here.
A great hobby, choosing scale is the hard part.
Here in Michigan most ride on scale tracks are 7.5" gauge. Thanks for watching.
what is the weight of the flat cars?? Thanks
I don't know the exact weight. But around 60 pounds complete. Thanks for watching.
Thanks, I am building a ⅛ th scale flatcar after an 89' 4" BNSF RAILWAY model. Finished it should be 11' 2" long.
@michaelleake7894 that is one big flatcar. There is one long flat that runs at the White Creek Railroad on occasion.
Flatcars worked out fine, caboose not so much!
Fortunately it only rolled down the hill and stayed on the track.
Cool video
Thanks for watching.
Hey! Who threw all these empty beer cans in the tunnel!!! Come to think of it, where's the clean up crew?
Thanks for watching
What is the gauge?
7.5" or 190mm Thanks for watching.
Pazzesco 💥
It is a lot of fun. Thanks for watching.
How do you have so much money and so much free time to build something like this?
It is not my railroad. The owner had more than one job and started the railroad after he retired from one.
Let's take a moment to remember the conductor that was decapitated by the giant stick that plowed though his lookout.
LOL. in this video the owner of the railroad is using such a stick to move other branches back from the track. th-cam.com/video/F_9xNi-8VJc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=-ucnihzOdzvTnf0w When taking video I don't have enough hands. I show stopping to move sticks of the track. Thanks for watching.
Einfach fantastisch super große
Thanks. It is always fun to ride the rails.
John Galts train set
Yes a big boy train. Thanks for watching.
Dude😮 You gotta set up different scenes along the routes 😮like wild west, land before time dinosaurs, etc. that would be really bitchin😮
There is a UFO crash site. I show it in a couple videos.
I would like to see more of the suroundings..camera is to low😢
I have many more videos from the White Creek Railroad on my channel. Thanks for watching
Check out some of my other White Creek videos. During meets it is possible to have 10 or more trains running. More at an open meet.
Id ride around for hours
A run around the track takes about an hour. With many route choices. Check out some of my other White Creek videos.
You really need a better camera!! This video looks like there was water on the lens distorting the picture!! Great trip though.😊
I am working on better equipment. Check out some of my other videos from the White Creek Railroad.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏❤️👍🤝🙏
Thanks for watching. Check out some of my other White Creek videos.
На таких просторах колею можно бы и побольше. 15 дюймов например. Чтоб ехать в вагоне а не верхом на нëм.
This size 7.5" or 190mm is easier to transport. Some people bring equipment from 12 or more hours away.
Crud that caboose could be anywhere down the main line
Yes I had to back up quite a bit
I would bluild a railroad but I don’t have any space
Ça sert à quoi ? Intérêt ?
Just a hobby railroad. We move freight cars like indoor model railroads a few times a year. Check out some of my other White Creek. Thanks for watching.
Makes Walt Disney's model railway looks like a poor amateur for the layout size. Poor old Walt loved his steam engines.
I have videos of running my steam engines on my channel. Most railroads this size are just a loop of track. This railroad has meets where simulated freight is moved between the 30 towns. Check out some of my other videos. Thanks for watching.
