Would enjoy this tour immensely in the spring time (more colorful). Thanks for the ride this time and I hope the wild fires don't affect you at all (lots of "fire wood" you are going through)!
You have great deal of track work. You have put lots of thought and effort into the design and installation. Especially like your interchanges and eyes. Haven’t seen that before in your scale. You will build a viewer base because you have interesting content. There are those of us that will vicarously live out our dreams through you. Tail on oh rail baron! (Are derailments much of an issue?)
It is not my railroad but I live nearby. The owner would walk out in the woods to visualize where to put the track. He started building it almost 30 years ago. Derailments happen occasionally but usually aren’t too serious. Cars can be lifted by hand larger locomotives require specialized tools. Thanks for watching
@@steamlogger I also watch a similar rail road. His moves heating material from one location on his property to another. He frequently has derailments . So I realize how easy it is to re-align the cars. Look forward to seeing more of your adventures. Rail on.
Just WOW! What a national treasure. Now on my bucket list. I was able to follow on the map most of the way. When you were coming through Hidden Valley, I missed the cue to Skyview and thought you were heading to Maplewood. I caught up at Greenville. One question though: why is Green on the bottom like roadway stop lights versus on the top like railway tri-color signals? Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for the ride on your railroad. At 2:34 - was the locomotive built from scratch or was it a kit? It reminds me of the HO scale Athearn Hustler. Keep up the great work!
REAL NICE LAY OUT OF THE TRACKS YOU HAVE A LOT OF LAND THERE TO HAVE SUCH OF A THING. . I THINK YOU RETIRED FROM THE RAILROAD ? AM I RIGHT. CAUSE IT SHOWS.
The owner was a school teacher. He visited other railroads when he started building his. Check out some of my other videos showing the White Creek railroad. Thanks for watching.
@@steamlogger Fantastic, thank you! Do you have any under the hood pictures after conversion? I love the idea as I use a battery zero steer mower on my yard and now drive a Polestar 2 electric car. Thank you again.
This is the best video I have seen. This layout is massive. Beautiful place. Is this 15.25 or 15.5 track? Do you have a track layout available? keep the videos coming.. Thanks
Your railways are in much better condition than the ones here in Scotland. Maybe you should ask the Scottish government if you can run the Scotrail network!!
th-cam.com/video/M5xggxOMARg/w-d-xo.html here is a video or me running my oil fired Allen 10 wheeler. I have more videos on my channel of steam engines.
The track by the lake there was tree roots pushing up the track. The new bridge and alignment was due to tight curves. The original curves by the lagoons was some of the first track put down in 1994. Thanks for watching.
This engine is electric. I converted it from gas. Here is a video from when it was gas. th-cam.com/video/ZwBL_1tGfwQ/w-d-xo.html I use a brushless motor running at 24 volts.
This is a great video but it would have been nice if we could hear what you were saying. A lapel mic would have helped because the engine and car noises were drowning you out.
Yes it is not my railroad. The story is the owner retired from one of two careers and used his retirement to fund the railroad. Check out some of my other videos from the White Creek Railroad. Thanks for watching.
is there a map of the lines please?
There is on the railroads web site. whitecreekrr.com
I would be interested too..

yep, found it thanks (top right of page) - you are very lucky to ride those lovely places and thanks for showing everybody here@@steamlogger
I am on my last term of life and this makes me feel great! Have loved trains for a 67 years ! Thanks for doing this ! Mike
he should have a flat bed car with him for the twigs. just to have a nice bonfire later.
It would fill up fast some days. Thanks for watching
Thanks for taking us around with you!!! I enjoy your videos on this layout.
Thanks it is a great railroad. It is not mine and I know I am spoiled living near by and getting to run regularly.
Would enjoy this tour immensely in the spring time (more colorful). Thanks for the ride this time and I hope the wild fires don't affect you at all (lots of "fire wood" you are going through)!
I have many shorter clips on my channel. Watch for a new video soon running from Apple Tree Junction to Lake City in June
Wonderful tour. If I still lived in the Grand Rapids area I would be volunteering to "work on the railroad".
Thanks for watching.
That is so cool . I can't fathom the amount of work you have put into this. Just the amount of rails is staggering .
It is not my Railroad but I help the owner when I can.
Just awesome railroading, thank you very much.
Thanks
Enjoyed your video very relaxing
Thanks for watching.
Infinity and beyond
Thanks for watching
I love you’re train I very cool
Thanks for watching.
Awesome video ❤❤❤
Thanks. Check out some of my other videos from the White Creek Railroad
Geeze louise some of that bridge work would be impressive on a 12 inch = 1 foot railroad let alone a small scale one.
It is hard to believe it is a private railroad. It is a great place to run trains.
Seems you need a timber bunk car to haul all the fallen wood back to base

Wait, track goes out on pier, splits in 3. I want to see the trainboat!
Here is a video showing switching at the ferry dock. Sorry no real boat.

Excellent 😂❤🎉

We can’t wait to get there in 2024!

I will have to ask the owner about the signal colors. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for the ride on your railroad. At 2:34 - was the locomotive built from scratch or was it a kit? It reminds me of the HO scale Athearn Hustler. Keep up the great work!
It was built from scratch. I bought it used and don’t know the history. I have other videos on my channel featuring Gradar 75. Thanks for watching.
I would say amazing is not a good enough description of your railroad, woooooow😊
Check out some of my other videos from the White Creek Railroad.

None of your using as to my present srare
The owner was a school teacher. He visited other railroads when he started building his. Check out some of my other videos showing the White Creek railroad. Thanks for watching.
you should get one of those spinning brushes put it on the front of the train and use that to clean the rails
That is a good idea. Thanks for watching.
Get those log cars out to help with those "trees" across the tracks. 😂😂😂
Yes. With much of the track in the woods there is always sticks pick up. Thanks for watching
What is the purpose of material between rails at 13:52? Looks like a wood plank.
That is a road crossing. Thanks for watching
What is the mode of transport? Awfully quiet like it is electric! Thank you for the shared trip!
Yes I converted this loco to 24 volt electric drive. Here is a video showing Gradar 75 before conversion.

wow it is big. Wonder how much it cost to acquire so much land to lay all that track.
Yes this railroad covers over 100 acres. Thanks for watching.
good

Great Railway and Video. Question, what brand is your wireless control system and where is it available ?
I made the wireless controller my self. It has a micro controller with Nordic NFR24L01 radio. Not yet available for sale. Thanks for watching.
Different perspective with all the leaves gone. You see things that normally the vegetation obscures.
Yes. Thanks for watching. Hope to see you in 2024.

The track is 7.5" you can find a map at whitecreekrr.com Thanks for watching. I have many more videos from here on my channel.

I would love to come to Scotland and ride the rails.
Where is this❤
Near Grand Rapids Michigan USA
Do you guys use NORAC FORM D's ? It looks like you guys run it so well you forget that it's not class 1 railroad.
We use a manual block system. This video explains the signals.

This is pretty much 'the dream'... Put the World on hold, wrap up warm, get on your train and go commune with nature for a couple of hours.
I would use a steam locomotive burning coal and or wood with a spark arrester so sparks won't fly out the stack

Sir‚ which kind of signals you use
Here is a video I made showing the signals on the White Creek Railroad

Is GRADAR an actual railroad, or is it your personal short line name? My roadname is Briggs Canyon Railroad.
I am not sure. I bought it painted this way.
What was / is the reason for the track changes?
The track by the lake there was tree roots pushing up the track. The new bridge and alignment was due to tight curves. The original curves by the lagoons was some of the first track put down in 1994. Thanks for watching.
hey ik where u got the steam train for ur logo heston steam musaum

How do you powere your train?
This engine is electric. I converted it from gas. Here is a video from when it was gas. th-cam.com/video/ZwBL_1tGfwQ/w-d-xo.html
I use a brushless motor running at 24 volts.
Do you ever run more than one train at a time?
Yes. Check out some of my other White Creek videos. During meets there might be 20 of more trains out in the railroad.
This is a great video but it would have been nice if we could hear what you were saying. A lapel mic would have helped because the engine and car noises were drowning you out.
I will be upgrading my equipment soon. Thanks for watching
Cool but the tracks are rather crooked
The average speed is 5 MPH. Thanks for watching.
That's called disposable income
Yes it is not my railroad. The story is the owner retired from one of two careers and used his retirement to fund the railroad. Check out some of my other videos from the White Creek Railroad. Thanks for watching.

I will try to talk louder on future videos. Thanks for watching.
