I would just go into it knowing that you became a carrier because you’re an incredible person but sometimes when you use someone else’s DNA to get pregnant it doesn’t always work out. The fact that you’re even asking this question tells me you’re doing it all! I think being as zen as possible and try and avoid early pregnancy tests helps you have a good experience.

Congratulations, when I was 28 my aunt asked me if I want children and I said yes! Guess what she said to me you better hurry up before you have a baby with down syndrome and then she proceeded to say they have those funny looking eyes and start laughing. I was only 28 years old ( I know that could be a possibility) but I didn’t find it funny! This woman supposed to an educated woman and making fun of things like that. I had my fifth baby (5th csection) on 8/9/21 at the age of 44. Baby was born at exactly 34 weeks due to preeclampsia. C-section went great (no pain or complications) and I got my tubes tied. I had a miscarriage at 40 yrs old so this is my rainbow 🌈.
My grandmother had my mother when she was 43 almost 44 years old,by accident. She was a menopausal baby,my grandma didn't think she could get pregnant again. It's never too late as long as you get pregnant. The less you know about amh, fsh, and other letters combinations, the less stressed you will be, and get pregnant as soon as one good egg gets fertilized by one healthy sperm.

Lilith’s Silver Moon yes!!! First of all: congratulations!!!! And now for the pregnancy tips. Please review this with your doc. This is what I would have you do if this were me: 1. Let’s see what your cholesterol is including triglycerides 2. Eat so healthy that people will think you are a rabbit: plant based no processed foods no red meat. 3. Exercise every day. My version of exercise is : just move. Walking an hour a day and it can be in 10 minute sessions too but be active. 4. Decrease stress and stop working immediately if you have the flexibility to do that 5. Work on great sleep hygiene. 6. Get the pregnancycoach.com to help with supine sleep when the time comes 7. Ask about monitoring your blood sugar. If your blood sugar isn’t perfect then get into a program to monitor that. If you were my patient I would have you take ovasitol too or something equivalent. Make sure your baby’s growth is being Monitored so closely 8. Make sure that you’re already on aspirin daily and check the dose too and ask your doc if you’re taking enough . Such great news!!
Egg Whisperer Show Omgosh again! I wish you were my doctor! Yes I’m on 81 mg of aspirin a day. And many of the other things you mentioned I already implement into my daily routine. Not eating red meat? OK got it!!! I just bought a blood pressure cuff and stethoscope. One of my friends is a nurse and she takes my blood pressure. When I was at the doctors, it was 156/70 I think, something like that. And I took it yesterday and it was 130/70. A little bit better I suppose. I start Swimming next week. I’ll keep you posted. Also learn about oxalates from Sally Norton and don’t hyperconsume “healthy” high oxalate foods. The list of those is long but include spinach, beets n beet greens, cacao… and many other plant based foods (but not all).

Eating healthy, doing right, doing right by my guy. No uterus just egg production. Good genes. Good health. But metal knees and a pacemaker from a car accident. So-- I still have hope. I'm taking the baby making medicine. And when it comes time, we will take hormones and all the stuff that stuff that the specialist tells us to do. We are also hoping to adopt a doggo. I am 37 and finally found the man of my dream. I am trying to conceive for the first time so i thought i would see an obgyn. I didn't know why he didn't suggest any test on me and i was just being prescribed with folic acid.
I conceived my daughter naturally at the age of 36 after 8 months of actively trying (no fertility treatments). Of course, it was a hell-ride, wondering if it was even possible and now, here she is: 33.5 months old (almost 3 years old). My husband and I have been trying for baby # 2 for the past 8-10 months now that I'm 39 (will be 40 in 4 months). All of this gives me hope that it is still possible.

hi Rachael! you'e not a failure! you're normal. I've never met anyone who can get pregnant at 49 without using their own frozen eggs/embryos from when they were younger or a donor egg. Just because you've run out of eggs doesn't mean your desire to have a baby runs out though. If you really want a baby, you can have one! but sadly, women have to accept that science hasn't caught up with us yet :((( No options other than donor for us.

My mother's first cousin who is 64 years old now conceived her daughter at the age of 47 through IVF using her own eggs. Her fertility doctor told her it was unlikely that she would conceive using her egg after the age of 45 as he had no records of any woman over 45 conceiving with her own eggs. She had already been through a few failed IVF attempts. However, he could not talk her into buying donor eggs. She beat the odds when the embryo that is her now 16-year old daughter implanted perfectly in late 2003 and she was born in late August of 2004. Her daughter is about to become a senior in high school and is getting ready for college.

It’s amazing how no women is the same I have a friend who is overweight, she’s a diabetic, high blood pressure, asthmatic, and she was a big drinker she drinker every weekend- she had her a son at the age of 48 and the baby came out fine. She said she was only taking prenatal pills, GERITOL vitamin and vitamin C, she mention that her dr told her she would never have kids and she definitely proved them wrong, her son just turned 2 this past April. I also have a friend who wasn’t trying to get pregnant and had her first child at 53, her son is 14 now. All my friends had there baby’s in in there mid to late 40s and the lady that braid my hair told me the part of Africa that she’s from she said the women start at 40 to bear children.

Men's sperm has a 3 month build up but not eggs. we're born with them so whatever you can do now ahead of your treatment could help but there isn't a set amount of time you should be taking them first. I know you can hear different answers from a lot of different doctors but this is what I tell my patients.

Yes, a man is fertile to a pretty much unlimited age. But that does not mean quality of sperm, without congenital conditions, and other age inflicted problems for the fetus. Fertility does not necessarily mean health in sperm.

hi Annie. Yes, if you're open to creative family building, a fertility doctor can help you. A woman at 47 can get pregnant with her own eggs if she has frozen eggs or embryos from the past. See a fertility doctor to find out what your options are: egg donor, embryo donor, adoption are all options.
Your age doesn’t determine when your desire to have a baby ends. This is exactly why I talk about menopausal pregnancy. Read about it and talk to your local fertility doc about your options

I'm 45 now, missed my cycle but I think I'm done. Already experiencing menopause symptoms. I have my son and daughter, 11 and 14. Besides, I have health risks. I developed a life threatening DVT in my leg while pregnant with my daughter at age 35. My doctor even suggested that I have no more pregnancies. In my case, the risks outweigh the benefits.

My best friend is 28 weeks pregnant currently with no fallopian tubes, an ectopic, a failed round of ivf, and infected fallopian tube that exploded probably similar to yours and a miscarriage. Those are just the bits I know about. You don't need fallopian tunes. Keep going. You can get there. The second time of ivf after second life threatening fallopian tube sittuation, she got pregnant first time. Keep going.

what I'll tell you is that it's so hard to get pregnant at 43. Your likelihood of pregnancy is related to something completely out of your control. And that's your age. The likelihood of pregnancy at 43 is < 5%. So if it were me I would: get your AMH checked, and talk to your doc about your treatment options and what it means. If your levels is high then doing treatment could work! If low, then know that you still have a chance it's just very low. Most of my patients over age 42 use donor eggs / embryos to have a baby. You are not alone and if you want a baby, chances are good you will have one depending on what you're willing to do. And even if you had all the money in the world, IVF success would still be low.

Actually no, my grandpa was 60 when he had my dad, my grandma was 42. But some men do suffer from infertility, not age related. Watch the Legend of Rubirossa, he was hailed as the no1 playboy ladies man in history who married 5 times, two of them who were richest hiresses at the time. Oh, little factoid - he possessed 10.5 inches (legit)!!!!!! Died at 56. He was infertile, no kids. I guess Nature likes to balance things out.

I'm 43, just took a pregnancy test and it came out positive. I had my first at 27 and i had a miscarriage years later. Around 35, i had an ectopic pregnancy and was told if i get pregnant again it will be ectopic. I got pregnant after that, and I now have a 3 year old, and just had a positive pregnancy test at 43.

I became pregnant at 40 and I had a beautiful, healthy, happy baby boy at 41. It was an easy pregnancy and I had no IVF etc… it was natural 🙏🏼🌟

Lilith’s Silver Moon yes!!! First of all: congratulations!!!! And now for the pregnancy tips. Please review this with your doc. This is what I would have you do if this were me: 1. Let’s see what your cholesterol is including triglycerides 2. Eat so healthy that people will think you are a rabbit: plant based no processed foods no red meat. 3. Exercise every day. My version of exercise is : just move. Walking an hour a day and it can be in 10 minute sessions too but be active. 4. Decrease stress and stop working immediately if you have the flexibility to do that 5. Work on great sleep hygiene. 6. Get the pregnancycoach.com to help with supine sleep when the time comes 7. Ask about monitoring your blood sugar. If your blood sugar isn’t perfect then get into a program to monitor that. If you were my patient I would have you take ovasitol too or something equivalent. Make sure your baby’s growth is being Monitored so closely 8. Make sure that you’re already on aspirin daily and check the dose too and ask your doc if you’re taking enough . Such great news!!
Egg Whisperer Show Omgosh again! I wish you were my doctor! Yes I’m on 81 mg of aspirin a day. And many of the other things you mentioned I already implement into my daily routine. Not eating red meat? OK got it!!! I just bought a blood pressure cuff and stethoscope. One of my friends is a nurse and she takes my blood pressure. When I was at the doctors, it was 156/70 I think, something like that. And I took it yesterday and it was 130/70. A little bit better I suppose. I start Swimming next week. I’ll keep you posted. Also learn about oxalates from Sally Norton and don’t hyperconsume “healthy” high oxalate foods. The list of those is long but include spinach, beets n beet greens, cacao… and many other plant based foods (but not all).

I have been trying for my daughter for over 19 years , I'm 49 now very fit and healthy very active , but the doctor told me to forget it, unless I have a donor egg and Ivf which I can't afford. I'm just to old he said. Made me feel like a failure.
hi Rachael! you'e not a failure! you're normal. I've never met anyone who can get pregnant at 49 without using their own frozen eggs/embryos from when they were younger or a donor egg. Just because you've run out of eggs doesn't mean your desire to have a baby runs out though. If you really want a baby, you can have one! but sadly, women have to accept that science hasn't caught up with us yet :((( No options other than donor for us.

My mother's first cousin who is 64 years old now conceived her daughter at the age of 47 through IVF using her own eggs. Her fertility doctor told her it was unlikely that she would conceive using her egg after the age of 45 as he had no records of any woman over 45 conceiving with her own eggs. She had already been through a few failed IVF attempts.
However, he could not talk her into buying donor eggs.
She beat the odds when the embryo that is her now 16-year old daughter implanted perfectly in late 2003 and she was born in late August of 2004. Her daughter is about to become a senior in high school and is getting ready for college.

It’s amazing how no women is the same I have a friend who is overweight, she’s a diabetic, high blood pressure, asthmatic, and she was a big drinker she drinker every weekend- she had her a son at the age of 48 and the baby came out fine. She said she was only taking prenatal pills, GERITOL vitamin and vitamin C, she mention that her dr told her she would never have kids and she definitely proved them wrong, her son just turned 2 this past April. Men's sperm has a 3 month build up but not eggs. we're born with them so whatever you can do now ahead of your treatment could help but there isn't a set amount of time you should be taking them first. I know you can hear different answers from a lot of different doctors but this is what I tell my patients.

Yes, a man is fertile to a pretty much unlimited age. But that does not mean quality of sperm, without congenital conditions, and other age inflicted problems for the fetus. Fertility does not necessarily mean health in sperm.

I'm 45 now, missed my cycle but I think I'm done. Already experiencing menopause symptoms. I have my son and daughter, 11 and 14. Besides, I have health risks. I developed a life threatening DVT in my leg while pregnant with my daughter at age 35. My doctor even suggested that I have no more pregnancies. In my case, the risks outweigh the benefits.

what I'll tell you is that it's so hard to get pregnant at 43. Your likelihood of pregnancy is related to something completely out of your control. And that's your age. The likelihood of pregnancy at 43 is < 5%. So if it were me I would: get your AMH checked, and talk to your doc about your treatment options and what it means. If your levels is high then doing treatment could work! If low, then know that you still have a chance it's just very low. Most of my patients over age 42 use donor eggs / embryos to have a baby. You are not alone and if you want a baby, chances are good you will have one depending on what you're willing to do. And even if you had all the money in the world, IVF success would still be low.
Can it all have to do with a man's sperm? Maybe younger men with older women trying to get pregnant would have high success rate...sorry no offense to anyone

Watch the Legend of Rubirossa, he was hailed as the no1 playboy ladies man in history who married 5 times, two of them who were richest hiresses at the time. Oh, little factoid - he possessed 10.5 inches (legit)!!!!!! Died at 56. He was infertile, no kids. I guess Nature likes to balance things out.

I'm 43, just took a pregnancy test and it came out positive. I had my first at 27 and i had a miscarriage years later. Around 35, i had an ectopic pregnancy and was told if i get pregnant again it will be ectopic. I got pregnant after that, and I now have a 3 year old, and just had a positive pregnancy test at 43.
