  • *THE DOSING FUNNEL USED IN THE VIDEO DOES NOT COME WITH THE SAGE BARISTA EXPRESS* It has to be purchased seperately.
I got this Sage espresso machine in october 2022. I haven't gotten super into dialing it in as you can see from the video (or the extraction I guess). I still think this video has some worth to some people.
I was looking for general videos of the process of making a cup of coffee with this machine when I was thinking of getting it... I didn't find one back then so here's mine.

Vreau să văd un espresso cu o spumă bogată

You can get more foam by frothing the milf longer. You’ll need to keep tip of the steam wand just under the milk. The longer you go withouth completely submerging the tip the more foam you’ll get.

Hi, thanks! I was wondering. The pressure indicator isn’t showing on the video. But is it supposed to go up while making the espresso?

Yeah it is supposed to go up. There is the ”espresso range” on the pressure meter but I feel like that’s not very helpful. I tend to go all the way towards end of the ”espresso range” or even slightly over the range.
In general I tend to look for 25-35 seconds extraction time for the cup of espresso. I start the clock as soon as the first drop of espresso drops into my mug and end the clock when the ”dripping” stops. Then I adjust grind size and amount.
Hopefully you understand what I mean. It’s quite difficult to explain with only words (that’s actually a decent video idea for the future)…

@@AJMyoutube every barrista sayes that you start measuring time as soon as water touch the caffe so with press of a button basically or in this situation after 1/2 sec maybe, not when water starts to drop because it touches caffe before you can see it droping. I'm also a beginner and trying to help. In gastronomical express thats how we measure time.

@ okay that actually makes sense. I’ve been wondering that there’s no way I’ll ever get to 30 seconds if I count from first drop of coffee. Thanks for commenting thats actually super helpful!!!

@@jorienvdheuvel4324 Btw I just uploaded a video where I show that how the pressure meter looks like when I make a cup of coffee with my exact settings. Check it out if you’re still interested.

@@fort_in_bras I do yeah… I just last week learned that I shouldn’t move my hand so much while pouring the milk so I can do something better now. That’s not saying much though considering the starting point😂
