Holy shit, Chugga wasn’t kidding when he said he was ass at DKC. Watching him grab that G was actually excruciating lmao.
This is definitely the hardest DK game too, Chugga is gonna have a rouuuughhhh time late game.

A few things:
1: Banana juice is INCREDIBLY overpowered. In Tropical Freeze, it’s seconds. In this, it’s HITS.
2: You can move before the game loads on the menu. Saves time, not useful beyond that.
3: You can shake the Wii remote while respawning to hone the barrel towards your teammate.
Hope this helps, probably won’t.
I like how Emile is more chaotic this episode because I wasn't expecting vandalizing toilets and smashing your own mail boxes
This is amazing timing because I JUST rewatched MasaeAnela play Returns and am rewatching her play Tropical Freeze. This is going to be so much fun!
A game they never beaten, I can tell this is going to be a fun collab already, looking forward to it and have fun.

Oh man, Runawayguys have so much to learn in this game. Almost 80% of the controls are motion based. Including to shake the DK Barrel when being revived.
Reminds me of Brawl where they switch controllers.

Omg this is a game that I never beat but I loved when I got it because I use to watch LPs of the old games so I thought this would be amazing to play. 😂😅
I always feel like such a weirdo because I actually *like* the whole "shake to roll" thing. I even played Tropical Freeze with a wiimote and nunchuck because of it.

16:25 I got nothing to say about this moment, I just want to bookmark this particular line for my own benefit.
I've read that Donkey was the "damsel in distress" in DKC 2 and 3 because, during the development of DKC 1, Nintendo essentially kept telling Rare how the game should be made, which got to their nerves, and that was their "vengeance" - to not have the title character be the star of his own games.
Also, Donkey "sucks" in this game because Diddy is very much a "little sibling" character.
TRG was so sad that DK stopped showing up in Mario Party that they just decided to play the DKC games as payback. Very excited for this series cause this game was a very fun and challenging one to play solo as a kid.

2:35 I always like that there are two ways to interpret this. Either DK is too smart to be hypnotized compared to the rest of the animals.... or he's stupider than the rest of the animals on the island but somehow became the leader.

Honestly, it could be focus. All DKC stories start with someone stealing bananas. Perhaps he was always paranoid that someone would steal his bananas and always worried about that, so hypnotism did not work on DK.

In addition to Kirby: Return to Dreamland (the first LP I watched on this channel) getting a rerelease with extra content on my birthday (or close enough to it since Feb 25th is a Saturday), Emile, Jon and Tim are uploading new content. Hooray! I'm not much of a DK player, so this should be interesting.

I feel Emile's weird life goals.
Mine is I want to become ordained for the sole purpose of going to a wedding and hoping the officiant doesn't show up. Then I get to do the wedding ceremony, but it's not in a "you saved the day" kind of way. I want it to be a sitcom moment where they literally have no better option and it's slightly terrible.

I think Chugga played at least partway through Tropical Freeze, since he did bring up the theming from the first two worlds of that game in his current playthrough of Paper Mario.
I'll say the same thing for Chuggaa that I've said to several friends: Don't watch One Piece, read it. The manga is WAAAAY faster to get through.
I love how the internet universally agreed that it's cuz dk is too fucking stupid to be hypnotized.
What shocks me is they never tried shaking the controller after coming back because shaking the controller actually causes your barrel to come closer to the person alive. It also prevents you from losing the life. It also never teaches you this for some reason.

When I played this on the Wii, I hated the motion controls so much that I installed a mod to play with the Classic Controller (rolling was mapped to the R button). Made the game so much better 😂

So Chugaa mentions One Piece as ending this year, but I do wanna point out thats wrong. The final saga started last year, and Sagas in one piece span multiple arcs and can be hundreds of chapters long. One Piece has a good few years on it still.

To Emile. Yes I know you prerecorded this, but you should know. One Piece is NOT ending this year. Based on what's going on in the Manga we probably have at least 3 more years
It was stated that One Piece will end in a few years, not this year. It will start it's final Saga but it's not going to end anytime soon. The Manga might go on for another 10 years. The Anime might go on for another 15 to 20 years depending on pacing. I estimate that it will hit at least 1200 episodes.
Hell, at the pace the anime is going I wouldn't be surprised if they hit episode 1200 before the end of Egghead. Let alone the end of the series.
