    If you got adjustable control arms, check your caster. I had < 1 degree of caster in my newly swapped HP Dana 30 on my Wrangler and my steering wheel felt like it had a deadzone and was flopping all over the place when I was trying to keep it centered. This was mainly on poorly paved roads, but also at higher speeds 65+, the Jeep was impossible to keep in a straight line. I extended my adjustable lowers to increase the caster angle, and it handles 100x better. I can drive thru backroads now without worrying about a bump throwing me into a ditch or oncoming traffic. And my steering wheel actually tries to stay centered just from the road force itself.

    Do you have to install a track bar bracket on the Axel if you do the drag link on the top or called flip it?

    Sorry to ask, but is that tie rod and drive link better than the TerraFlex? And another question, is the jeep rubicon on 4 low supposed to be hard to steer? Because I believe I might have a problem when I am on 4 low, the steering gets way to tight

    • @American4wdOutfitters
      @American4wdOutfitters  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’m personally not a fan of tie rod end steering systems. I would rather have hime joint style. But, I would say “better” would be up to the customer. Everyone has their own opinion on this. I have seen countless tie rod failures and your basically screwed, but never a hime joint failure(to the point of being stranded).

    • @American4wdOutfitters
      @American4wdOutfitters  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As far as the other question, yes, 4 low puts stress against the steering system, so you will feel more tension on the steering wheel. When driving normal and straight, you will only feel slight tension but it should still be easy to turn. Now when locker is on, or flexed out it will be extremely hard to turn due to the forces against your steering box(that’s why ppl get hydro assist)

    hi guys, I brow a 2014 jeep wrangler jk.
    my friend lifted before sale this jeep. 4 inch. lift kit.
    I have a 38 inches tires 15.5 wide. I think that was too big. I brow brand new 35 12.5 tires. new rin new alignment and balance. I brow new tie rod, jock rock.
    drag link jock rock and rubicon xpress track bar.
    the alignment say the jeep is ok 👍. but. when I hit the interstates, my jeep starts to go line side, I trying to pull in the line again an a few seconds go.to the other side. never have a vibration, steering wheel super soft no vibration. I have a new fox steering stabilizer 2.0 and still happen, this fox has 24 click of adjustment I'm using 14 of then. i never take this jeep for offroad. I don't have any idea why this happens. friend of mine have big tires amd stock suspensión and they are driving ok.
    some people say it is a caster problem. I need to push forward my axle. that is true?

    • @American4wdOutfitters
      @American4wdOutfitters  ปีที่แล้ว

      Lifted Jeeps will slowly move with the angle of the road(it’s normal) if your on the interstate, and it’s sloped to the right, if you were to let go of the steering wheel it will eventually start moving right out of the lane.

    • @American4wdOutfitters
      @American4wdOutfitters  ปีที่แล้ว

      Likewise, if your on a back road and the pavement is level, and you let go of the steering wheel, it will stay in the lane
