This was much more fun to watch than to actually read out of the manual! Great vid--reminds me of all the maintenance I need to do for the controls and front end. I'm guessing my steering bearings have never been done. If you and Tripod ever want to turn this format into a series of questions and answers... I've got a whole slew of questions I can't quite figure the answer out to. A lot of them are probably just "figure it out" though.
I feel so happy to hear that no one has done those things! Lol. I don’t know if you have a video about changing brake pads on front & back and doing the brake fluid change. I would like to do some of these maintenance items in the winter.
So I dont know everything about bikes, I have the sv1000s and I noticed there's two radiator things on the front of the bike. Are those filled with fluids? air cooler or liquid coolers?
@@Mad8vCycles The rubber fuel line was fine. The smaller tubing? That was disintegrating as soon as you touched it! “Well? Don’t TOUCH it and it’ll be fine…” 😄
For those fork seals what weight and brand oil would you recommend? Also I know it’s not gonna be in the manual but what are your suggestions for clutch “chudder”
Depending on the rider and if there are emulators. 15w is usually decent without emulators. 10w with The best bet with the basket is sending it to werks
Radiator and brake fluids i do them every 2 years so thats 1 out of everybody . also with 17 coffee my piss is crystal clear like water so instead of your sv you might need to go to an urologist

Always happy to get ideas for vids dude
That fact you keep saying "no one has ever done this" convinced me to get this motorcycle
They do manage to survive a bit of neglect
Сергей, спасибо за видео! Я понял, что мой мотоцикл ещё неплохо обслужен. Ну может шланги осталось поменять.

Most of the bikes we have come in for fork service have mud for fork oil
Yeeep and smells like death
that was a good video.

@@robertmifkovic6325 right. people who buy newer bikes take care of them. by the time it gets to the 3rd owner they're not gonna do anything
50% of this video was about stuff nobody ever does, great video would watch again 👍
Hey maybe it will motivate someone to actually do some of it
@@Mad8vCycles Was looking for exactly that as I am planning to keeping my 20yo Sv for a long time!
Come here tripod 😂
Tripod lmfao
When you say stator magnets, is that just replacing the stator itself? Necessary on the 650 as well? Thanks again
flywheel not stator. most people just jbweld the spaces between the magnets on the flywheel. only sv1000.

Just upgraded to an sv1000 and all I’ve had is problems with the slave cylinder really frustrating
