Dan what percentage of your root riot plugs rooted and how many weeks do you wait to transplant?

4 weeks is good. I would say 90%

I couldn’t control the mold. All my rockwool cuttings failed due to mold

See. As I was discussing on another of your video this video shows roots growing upwards out of the plug . I havent seen that shown in any other video and it's a big concern with me because in air layering and cutting it would allow me more headway in where I bury my projected rooting point . . So this tiny detail in this video is important to me

Hi I just found your video and I have a question...I just put a fig branch I cut in water about Feb right before it started to bud (zone8) and it has good amount of roots but they are further up the plant than were I cut it but the roots have done got really long Should I just pot in up now in potting soil and leave it in the shade and for how long...Doesn't it need to be harden and put in sun at some point? I assume I can only plant in ground once it goes dormant...Correct? I'm new at this!

Definite don’t put it in the sun for at least a week. Keep in shade outside to get acclimated to the sun. You comment was 4 weeks ago so you must have already done something by now lol. Hope it worked.

That looks like too much water to me just as Mike Kinkaid also seem to put too much water in and both of you are successful probagators. and I ain't but I have had sever problems with rotting cuttings in my attempts some last winter and a few this summer a very dry summer till I stuck some cutting in the ground then it rained every other evening in August

    Hi Dan,
Are you seeing roots in your rock wool starts?

      Thanks Dan!
I am very curious to see how the root riot vs rock wool compares.
I started a few with rock wool. I see roots above the rock wool on one of my starts.
Mine did not seem to hold the leaves as well as the starts you did in the root riot.
Some held leaves and some dropped leaves.

@@oregonfigs3314 I posted the follow up. I like the Root riot best. The Rock Wool cubes seem to hold too much water.
