May 22: Cuttings in water, 17-20 days: roots emerging, 22 days: roots 1 cm long = transplantation, 28 days: roots starting to grow, 33 days: many roots, 41 days: new shoots, 63 days: shoots growing, 98 days: a lot of leaves = planted in pots, Next Spring: first figs growing.
We bought our first fig plant less than a year ago in winter 2020 and was able to get several fruits this summer. Nothing is better than fresh homegrown figs! We plan to take cuttings and hopefully get more plants. Thanks for sharing!

Looked like grain husks of some sort, just part of the potting mix * note that his method is only for very fresh cuttings as seen; on a woody, leave-less stem this is not the right way
It's not a good idea. Planted from seed it will take forever to grow, you'll never know, what time of fig do you have and even worst, it could be male, so no figs ever... If you want it just for leafs... The it is ok.

Yes, you can. Lots of trial and error though. I have done it with wax apples, passion fruit, herbs, grapes, pineapple, some veggies.
