हा show परत सुरू झालेला पाहून आनंद झाला. मी आधीचे सगळे 100 भाग परत परत 2/3 वेळ पहिले आहेत. भारत गोठोसकर सरांची खूप आठवण येते.. विनायक परब साहेबांची थोडी वेगळी स्टाइल असली तरी त्यांनी दिलेली माहिती खूप interesting वाटली. आता इथून पुढेही अशीच रंजक माहिती मिळत राहू दे... पुढील वाटचाली साठी शुभेच्छा.
विनायक परब हे geology आणि archaeology, बौद्ध इतिहास, ह्यामधले तज्ज्ञ आहेत.
आपली मुंबई समजून घेण्यात आपल्या या मालिकेचा खूप महत्त्वाचा भाग आहे. खूप खूप धन्यवाद 🙏

विनायक परब, तुमची अनेक वर्षांची तपस्या , अभ्यास ह्या एपिसोड च्या निमित्ताने प्रत्यक्ष पाहण्याचा योग मिळतोय हे आमचं भाग्य. अभिनंदन आणि खूप खूप शुभेच्छा.
विनायक परब आपण चांगल्या मराठीत निवेदन करता हे पाहून छान वाटले. कारण आजकाल निवेदकांचे मराठी हे हिंदी/ इंग्रजी शब्दांनी बरबटलेलं असते तरीही पासष्ट दशलक्ष वर्षे म्हणजे भारतीय गणनेनुसार किती वर्षे ह्याचा खुलासा केला असता तर बरे झाले असते. माझ्या मते पासष्ट दशलक्ष वर्षे म्हणजे साडेसहा कोटी वर्षे होतात.
खूपच छान. अगदी मुंबईच्या मुळापासून सुरुवात केली. परब सरांचे सादरीकरण छान आहे. अशीच नवनवीन माहितीची अपेक्षा आहे. मालिका पुन्हा सुरू झाली आणि भरत सरांची आठवण झाली.

Mumbai Suburban district was part of the Old Thane district.
Initially, the district of Bombay (Mumbai) included only the city island. In 1920, when the Salsette taluka was divided into North Salsette and South Salsette; South Salsette consisting of 86 villages was separated from the Thane district, to constitute the newly created Bombay Suburban district. This district was made up of two talukas: Borivali with 33 villages, and Andheri with 53 villages. Thirty-three villages from the Bombay Suburban district were transferred to the Thane district in 1945; 14 of these 33 villages, required for the development meant of Aarey Milk Colony, were returned to the Bombay Suburban district in 1946.
On the 15th of April 1950, the municipal limits of Bombay were extended to include the Andheri taluka of the Bombay Suburban district as suburban Bombay. The Borivali taluka, together with a village transferred from Thane district was also appended to Bombay when the municipal corporation limits were further extended on 1st February 1957. Thus, the Greater Bombay district, comprising the city proper and suburban areas came into being in 1957.
*(North Salsette Island consists of Thane and Mira Bhyander. In Marathi Salsette island is known as Sasthi che bet / साष्टीचे बेट)

हा उपक्रम फारच छान आहे. पुर्वी मुंबईमधे तमाशाचे ४२ थियेटर होते त्यांच्याविषयी माहिती सांगितल्यास फार बरे होईल.
अंधेरीच्या गिल्बर्ट हिल चे वयसुद्धा ६५ दशलक्ष आहे. पुढचा एपिसोड कदाचित गिल्बर्ट हिलचा असेल...

Sir this I have studied in PGD in disaster management. Very sorry to say we are least bothered of Disaster management. One more thing is about the Mangrove this is also one of the important issue. It also should be protected. When we see the Diva Dombivli how the fast construction is going on one day this will be massive Disaster

Nice info. It is same time when Indian plate got separated from Gondwana land and start moving towards North Eastern direction. During that transit process, it passed from huge Volcanic part which formed the Western Ghat, Sahyadri ranges, Vindhyachal mountain ranges, etc. It happened 70millions years ago. And Mumbai island form in the last stretch of it. You can find the graphics of Indian Plate moving in many TH-cam channels.
