I just want a bike I can drive on the streets and go down a dirt road with a back pack and fishing rod and this bike looks like the perfect bike for it

Really useful video, I am looking for a bike that allow me to get into this kind of roads, I have a Hero XPulse 200 and I am waiting for the Himalayan 450, but I wanted to see how this one behave, I think this is also a good option for what I want :D
I got a Svartpilen '22 and i love it so much. Love your other videos - do you have any chain checking/tentioning/replacement video coming up soon? I would love to see that. Subbed!
We are going into winter here in the US, so I do intend to do a full maintenance video in the coming weeks that should include chain, oil, tire and other maintenance items. Thanks!
@@4WardGarage Would definitely appreciate this! Just about to hit the 4300 mile mark and was wanting to try and service it myself this time around. My main concern is the chain tightening and not knowing how to make sure both sides of the axle are the same.
I think that for what this bike is intended for, it wouldn't make a big difference. I only say that because I would still want this bike to perform well on the road because it absolutely excels at that. The stock tires are the perfect units for road riding while sprinkling in a gravel or dirt road here or there.
The Svartpilen is a great around town bike. Also great for paved, tightly winding mountain roads. Almost unbeatable in the 20 to 70 MPH range. However... .....There is one giant problem with the riding the Svartpilen on dirt. The footpegs are too far back. The front to rear balance is off for dirt riding. Pitch it into a turn on dirt or gravel and you'll loss the front end. That's because you can't load the front end through the footpegs. For multiple reasons, entering a turn on asphalt is a different situation. One is that your weight is more on the seat and over the handlebars, GP style. There's a second problem. The chainguard is ineffective for preventing dirt from the rear wheel of getting deposited on the chain. Do it long enough and you'll have a compromised chain which has the equivalent of losing about five engine horsepower.
It’s a great bike! You just have to know what it’s good at and be careful on everything else. I have zero intention of riding it off-road past this video. I just wanted to show what it can do if someone was curious. Could not agree more with your statement that it is unbeatable from 20-70 mph. I absolutely love it on 55 mph state routes. Thanks!
Looks like fun! Do you have a pin for this you could share with me? I'm an hour from Shenango Lake and just got a couple adventure bikes. Also curious, did you buy the bike locally?
Have you seen the price on dirt bikes? You’d be lucky to get a decent dirt bike for $5k. You buy this bike to drive around town, go on adventures on the street, but then you can take it down logging roads to see mountains and lakes and go camping. Dirt washes off you know…
I think it's all about perspective and purpose. For me, I buy things to use them. I want to enjoy my purchases to the fullest extent. I had a great day riding and had a great time making this video. To me, that's worth a couple scratches to the underneath of the bike. But I also appreciate you valuing the condition of your things. Different strokes for different folks. Thanks for watching!
Best demo I've seen of this thing off road. Thanks!
Glad you liked it! Thank you!

You would not be disappointed!
I still see the road in that video :)) thanks for filming this
Good trip 💪 and good video 👍 This motorbike is full of capabilities.
I love it! Full of fun too.
Realy cool dude, thats the kind of a place that i would like to drive around with my svart into. Hard to find something like this in Germany though.
I'm very fortunate.
I am looking to buy new 2024 version here in India for this exact kind of riding, do it all but nothing too extreme! Thanks for the review
Good choice, you will love it!
that looks like a super fun trail! i soft road in the philippines. that little hill was cool! i am going to try that one day. really good assessment.
Thanks!

@@shaaka24 it’s no big deal at all! I’ll try to make this a priority. Thanks!
Wym it’s dual sport tiers all day. Look at the clearance, suspension and bar seat this thing is a scrambler if anything
I mean, it can scramble. I've scrambled it on some pretty gnarly washed out crappy roads...
Good vid, appreciate the demo and insight. How much difference do you think a set of proper knobbies or even gummies might make on your opinion?

If a bicycle can go off road, why not a motorcycle, any motorcycle for that matter,,,, it all depends of what is defined as off road :D
Agreed. You can do anything you want on a motorcycle. That's why we love them!
there's lots of 600lb+ motorcycles lol that's odd to compare to a 10lb bicycle
Great video! Curiously, what tire did u use?
That is the stock tire set!
@@4WardGaragethx! I assume it is the scorpion rally str?
Washouts aren’t unfortunate when you have a capable off roader
I think you just called out my lack of ability. And I, for one, agree.
Are you bottoming out at all on these types of trail on this bike?
Yes...absolutely, haha.
Although seat height is pretty tall the ground clearance is very low...if it had 170 180 mm gc it could have been go anywhere bike
I agree. Still a super cool bike though!
It'd be called a 390 Adventure then :)
Does the mud guard serve its purpose, or got some splashes at thr rider's back?
I got no mud on my back during the ride!
Love the bike, but it is a tad bit low on clearance off road
Yep, agreed. But it’s fine for little fire roads.
did you disconect abs ?
Nope.
is the suspension super hard?
Soft, actually. Until you bottom out of course!

I did buy the bike somewhere locally at beaver creek cycles. It’s a blast!
@@4WardGarage Awesome, thanks for the responses! Will definitely have to go over there to check out their bikes.
@@TombstonePizza800 also keep in mind that shenango is only open from memorial to Labor Day I’m pretty sure.
I would never take my bike off-road. makes it dirty.
why take this bike off road, don't make sense.
Just having fun! Husky says these bikes are able to be taken on light off road trails so I wanted to show people what it’s like in that situation.
It's not "offroad" but pretty much "any road".
You all are funny. You’re talking about a bike you can pick up new under $5,000. It’s the perfect bike to do whatever you want on. lol
Because you can
To drive off-road with this bike is stupid. You paid 5,6,7,8K € or $ for a bike to drive through dirty water and mutt.

I know where I can pick one up new for slightly more than $4,600. So I would disagree since dirt bikes are more.
