Thanks for all the love on my first video. I recently travelled to Norway, and toured a chunk of the country on a CB500X. Video to come! If you'd like to keep up to date with other socials, my Instagram is now @motoexplore_yt
Man I can tell alot of work went into making this video. All the shots that you did using your drone, camera and if I may ask how on earth you color graded your gopro footage so beautifully like it looked like it came out of a movie. Were you using a polarizer for gopro /nd filter , please you gotta show us how you color graded your footage without overdoing it and making the trendy"two-tone abominable cinematic look" You feel me ! please ❤🎉
@@pumpiron1657 thanks mate! The widescreen resolution definitely does wonders for making it look more cinematic. Regarding colour, nothing too special. Just boost saturation a little, increase contrast then make it all match together. Matching to the natively gorgeous colours of the A7 helped as well. GoPro settings are the 4k cinematic wide angle, with the in camera colouring turned off I believe. The codec was also changed to the larger one I believe? Cheers!
Brilliant video mate, very well thought out and sequenced. You made the bush come to light and if this was your first attempt then I give you a 10/10. No screaming music and even a safety warning on drinking unfiltered natural water. Excellent job.
Purchased a 401 recently and was planning on going out camping with it, but had no idea where to start! Your video became a saving grace, couldn’t have found a more perfect video 🙌🏼
Get lots of straps! Under the pillion seat, there are two spots where you can secure a strap, put two bolts of the appropriate size and basically you can tie anything after that! Although seat can hold, I wouldn't suggest tying anything to the seat. Load up on gas as often as you can!
here's a tip i learn from being in the tropics.. day before going camping, try top bathe in citronella soap wash.. hopefully that will help you in the next trip also cool vid!
I rode to a metal festival with my Svartpilen 125. Kriega 30l backpack attached on the pillion-seat. In there a ultralight tent and summer sleeping bag. There was still some space for minimal stuff like one pair of clothes and something to drink. It is a great bike :)
Amazing video! I just bought a svartpilen and you just reaffirmed that I made a good choice because this video is exactly what i want to do with the bike! Thank you! Keep up the awesome videos!
Respect for taking the 401 out to the bush. Thank you for the vid and the time you took to edit all the clips. I have to say not a big fan of the BackCountry curry I took with me on my travels.. If I can give you a tip I always do. I live in Rockhampton Central Queensland. It gets very hot. In my Camelback water bag I usually put a couple of frozen hydralite ice poles in with the water. The ice poles keep the water cooler and when you get to your destination you drink the Hydralite but I guess it depends on length of journey etc. Look forward to seeing your adventures.
Great video. It is very well produced, has good and fitting music and all the camera angles look very professional. Keep it up. I hope we will see a lot more of you and the Svartpilen. Best regards from Germany
Been watching a lot of these moto camping videos and came across your one and was so happy it was in melbourne, then saw you only had one video, put some more vids out there man this was a great watch
Absolutely brilliant video, so relaxing to watch and so well made, we really notice it when people put in the effort and you definitely did!! Keep it up, it’s fantastic
Awesome video, I really loved watching it. I picked up a KLX250 not long ago but now I'm looking at Svartpilen 401. Should be fine in the Otways and High Country.
I hit some harder tracks on this trip that weren't included cause it didn't fit in with the vibe. The Svart did it, but it was sketchy haha. They're capable for sure, but have limits like most hybrids/scramblers. Thanks for watching!
Was honestly surprised with how well this is made. Then i read "first video." WHAT? This is amazing work. I'm honestly at a loss for words for the editing, audio, everything. This was exactly the vid I've been on the hunt for. I'm looking at pulling the trigger on a Svart401 for commuting to work and camping on weekends. How are you finding the Husky for camping? Please put up some stuff on how you set your bike up for trips. Cheers and much love from an aspiring rider in Perth.
Thanks for the kind words! Husky goes well for camping, all just a matter of getting the right amount of stuff packed on the back. I've got a basic pannier system now which will feature in follow up videos. I'll make a video on setting it all up once another trip or two are posted. Cheers!
Great vid a lot of work went into that well done. I'm thinking of getting the 401 at a fun play bike they look cool and look like the ride well too. Take care 👍
Amazing video , i enjoyed every moment like im the one who was riding😂 , one day i’ll buy that Royal enfield hunter 350 and start my journey travelling and exploring, thank you for the video
Love this! What a great video about bike camping. I come from Taiwan, I also bought a 2021 svartpilen 401 recently.😄 I waana try camp by bike, it seems a little difficulty.
That is what 401's are all about! Also, really great video quality. I have bought mine recently(live in Russia), but unfortunately, the engine stopped starting literally after 200 kilometers and I've been trying to figure out the motorcycle's electronics for a week now to understand what's going on. But as soon as I figure it out, I'll join your travelers' club right away!
Oh damn. Good old KTM electronics, hey? Is it still under warranty? According to the VIN my Husqy was built in Austria, whereas a lot of them are made in India. I wonder if it makes a difference reliability-wise.
@@motoexplore401 Yes, my Husky, like many others, is made at the Bajaj factory in India. The motorcycle is under warranty, but I bought it in another city, and there is no service center here, so I have to deal with it myself. On the other hand, I have become quite proficient in the bike's electronics =) So far, according to the multimeter readings, my battery has died, and I have ordered a new one, but it is unclear why the factory one died so quickly. Perhaps, after I washed the motorcycle with a hose several times, water got into the wiring and oxidized something. If you want, I can pm to you to tell how the repair process is going. After all, I have not come across a situation similar to mine on the internet.
Good to hear it seems like you've solved the issue! Confident so far it won't happen to me, almost 6k kilometres on my bike so far and been going well. Definitely make a post on any of the Svart forums though (Reddit/Facebook).
I ended up with a Himalayan but want to do this sort of thing - Svart was really high on the list, great to see this type of content with it because there really isn't much of it being used for light offroad and luggage out there in the world! Seems like a great bike for it. And top notch production too brother, subscribed!
I also considered the Himalayan. The svartpilen's better power output and looks (Himalayan does look great don't get me wrong) swayed me to the Husqy. If RE ever release a beefier Himalayan, I may swap over. However, Husqvarna is teasing a Svartpilen 901... Cheers for subbing!
@@motoexplore401 yea that was where I was at - I drive/ride like a Nanna so the power didn't phase me, that and the ease of adding the hard panniers for my camera gear but I was very close to getting the Svartpilen. Crazy that for a scramblery sorta bike with knobbies that theres barely any off-road content around with it. Seems like such a sick bike for it!
@@motoexplore401 RE is close to coming out with a new 450 Himalayan with alleged 40+ hp/nm toque- lighter bit a tad than the old one. Something is coming!
Glad to watch a nice video that is about exactly what I am trying to do! I am also riding a svartpilen and about to be on my first motocamping :) If you like to, might want to check a rear luggage carrier from Kijima for carrying some more stuff.
I was gonna say that this video reminds me of “The Motorcycle Diaries”. But, when I saw the RATM shirt in the start. I think we both had the same idea 😂
