Look up There makes me cry the whole way through, even though I’ve listened to it hundreds of times. What this album makes me feel is indescribable. This will be played at my funeral.
This has to be my favorite so far out of the pikes. A long continuous solo over a backing track with really melodic melodies, and in some parts some intense shredding! Buckethead literally paints a canvas with each note he hits. Absolutely stunning.
Came across this on a night deep thought. Was outside looking at the stars, and make a quick search. Perfect album title pops up: "Look Up There". It fit perfectly. guess I found the "There"
I have for the first time listened to this Album. Then I listened two or three more times in a row right after the first time. I can't describe what this Album does to me and for me. I have learned after listening to this Album at least one Alien does exist.
when you have recorded this many tunes AND your guitar-work is STILL FRESH AND ALIVE...!!!!!!! most bands can't even write fresh LYRICS- yet this guy ALWAYS delivers mind blowing stories without a word !!!
I've been on a journey through Bucketheadland for the past week and I'm listening to Pearson's Square which is another beautiful chilled album. But yeah it's been life changing and Buckethead is officially my favorite musician and hands down #1 guitarist. There's no proper words to express how awesome Buckethead is. This journey is life saving and inspiring. Thank you Buckethead and TH-cam. He is divine. I've had a couple of Buckethead divine interventions so far. I was listening to Acoustic Shards and my friend wanted to share an eerie story with me on youtube. So he opened another window so the music would keep playing and as we began listening the music synched with the story. It was surreal every change of topic the music would change at the same time, it was one if the coolest things I ever experienced. Just Last night I was playing a hidden mystery game with my daughter while having Buckethead on and many times the music synched with the game and it's a dark game. It's intense it's like he knows what we're doing and plays the sound track of our lives.
Darude sandstorm? totally the opposite of Buckethead in every way.I mean it's a catchy song but i don't get how ya go from Buckethead point A to Darude point z haha.

I wish I had 2%... There is something about this guy that is genuinely unique.. Every single album has so much emotions that pop shit pornstars won't express in 1000 years..
I thought I had his talent welling up inside of me once, the magnificent force of a thousand parasitic black holes ripping its host apart yet granting him the ability to perform amazing feats due to his strength to endure. It actually turned out to be food poisoning. :(
i have been listening to BH's music for a couple of months now. i have listened to all of his albums and i still want more. i am familiar with other guitarists' work like gilbert, satriani, vai, petrucci, zappa, vaughan, malmsteen, etc. and while i highly appreciate and enjoy their music and amazed by their talent, there is no other guitarist in the world who makes me high on the music and controls my emotions through a guitar only like Buckethead does. am i biased or is he really that great?
I felt the same way about the other artists you mentioned. I thought they were the shit until I truly dove into BH’s catalog. He is unlike any other. I love Satch, but he WISHES he could play and create like the savior of chicken. It’s interesting to ponder what Buckethead’s career would have looked like if the bucket and mask weren’t part of his mystique. More respect or less?
This whole album sounds like a 32-minute improvisational guitar solo. I'm not saying its bad or anything, it's all epic music; I'm just saying this must be how Buckethead releases six new albums a year. If it sounds cool, record it! I like that organic approach to music.
Not the same chords -Watchtower's in C#m, Look Up There's in Bm- but yeah,it is the same I-VII-VI minor sequence. It's a very basic chord structure that's used quite frequently.
A '96 Shiraz goes well with this album and a nice fillet steak. Then a spliff. Excuse me. Buckethead respect from South Shields, England, UK. Quite, rather, spiffing what what eh.
Not to say you're wrong, but this is one of the few if not the only album of bucketheads which is around 2 songs or half an hour. He still produces full length albums multiple times a year regardless.
Look up There makes me cry the whole way through, even though I’ve listened to it hundreds of times. What this album makes me feel is indescribable. This will be played at my funeral.
By the time you're done listening to Buckethead's latest album, he's already written/recorded another two.
Let's make 1K likes!
Guys, recommend buckethead's music to your friend's and relatives. His music deserves higher attention.
I looked up there and never looked back down.
Skrapeg0at for sure man I'm with you on that
SkrapegOat been 6 years listening to this album still blows me away !
Thanks Theskarlander
The music of Buckethead is so deep

Just found this and I don't have words to describe the awesomeness of it.
Still awesome in 2023.

It's just amazing how he can play this emotional stuff over hip-hop beats and it still sounds great!

raised in a Cage,
Children fear him, Critics rage,
He's half alive - he's half dead,
Folks just call him Buckethead

Songs:
1 - Golden Eyes 0:00

Not the same chords -Watchtower's in C#m, Look Up There's in Bm- but yeah,it is the same I-VII-VI minor sequence. It's a very basic chord structure that's used quite frequently.
Buckethead's songs get thumbed down only because they end.

2. Look Up There 10:52 - 32:30
b for bucket
Putting a bucket on my head actually made me play better. But it wasn't a guitar I was playing!
When he dies do you think he will pass the bucket on? Then we could have a whole new generation of Buckethead
haha..right!!
I just heard this album for the upteenth time and realized 5 Nobel Prize Peace winners put together got nothing on Buckethead.
look into porcupine tree there like a new gen of floyd and the 2013tour has guthrie govan as there guitarist on the album to....
Not to say you're wrong, but this is one of the few if not the only album of bucketheads which is around 2 songs or half an hour. He still produces full length albums multiple times a year regardless.
