Being a musician has literally saved my life twice now. I think that from what I am hearing, it's saved Bucket at least that many times as well. He literally pours his heart into every note. I think that what he's showing us is pure and true, but also that we are all capable of saving ourselves through our expressions of our own truths. Shine on all you beautiful souls.

I really do wonder if Buckethead wakes up, walks into his studio, plays what's on his heart as meditation and then releases the songs to us. It's astounding how much quality music he has provided for his fan base over the last 32 years, experimenting with new sounds. He is music's glass of red wine, God's artistic gift to mankind.

no one plays a guitar like this. name all the greats and i guarantee this guy could play anything they do, but i highly doubt that any of them could play like this man / robot does. In my little corner of the world he is without a doubt the GOAT.
He is a master of melodic guitar. His unique take on songs like this is out of this world! He takes you to another dimension and then inspires you to pick up your guitar and just play the hell out of it! I say this knowing I will not come close to this masters class, but it moves us to try.... Thanks Bucket for your music!! This is one hell of a great jam!!

Bucket head is like jimmy Hendrix. Most guitarist we have heard make song and repeatable riffs. And it's the singer who makes the guitar sound awesome. But bucket head .like jimmy hendrix can take off on a journey and literally sing with the guitar. And impress. I would have to say buckethead took off where jimmy hendrix left off. Slash and others like to think they are on hendrix or buckets level but in reality they are just not.
Bucket and Hendrix are both great, and I can relate to what you are saying. Another guitarist that is very expressive is Eddie Hazel. Not sure if you have heard of him, but Maggot Brain is considered his magnum opus. I can't pick a favorite guitarist. Bucket, Hendrix, and Hazel are always in rotation. Also, whilst both BH + Hendrix are immensely creative, how much of Hendrix's creativity was influenced by taking various drugs? His sound is surely different as a result. Of course Hendrix probably would have still been a creative genius if he hadn't done stuff. Ive no idea whether or not BH has tried stuff, but i think most of his music sounds amazing either way, but i think he's probably just straight all the time, as i doubt anyone could be so prolific otherwise. I did wonder though when i heard Rooftop if he'd been doing something psychedelic. I hope he's just straight though, and i know that just the being in a certain mood can be enough to channel some great sounds for 20 + mins...
