mkmiett Thanks for sharing bud. I myself, and I'm sure alot of us BH fans can relate to something similar. Some Buckethead songs are difficult for me to listen to for this very reason. Not in a bad way, just an overly intense emotional way. Past love, alternate potential timelines we could have traveled down...etc. Music has a special quality about it that really ties in hard with memories and a certain song really can put you in that moment. Sometimes a new song you've never even heard can make you feel nostalgic somehow. This is the beauty of music, this is the genius of Buckethead.
For me it would have to be the smell of summer at nighttime. It always makes me nostalgic because this used to be a very important song to me at a very special time in my life... God I miss 2011
That's definitely true, and it's a shame because he very rarely plays these type's of songs live either, probably because he knows a lot of the people that go see him, know him for his shred work which is amazing to say the least but I would LOVE for him to play some stuff like this as well for us fan that do dig down this far
I click through buckethead video's almost blind eyed, knowing songs by the sound of them. I remember finding this and not being able to re'find it and the other day i was browsing and i heard it and a sudden rush of happiness came through me
I'm listening to this with Rainy Mood playing in the background at it's perfect. I just close my eyes and it transports me to a completely different place.
To say one part of this song is better than another is blasphemy, but the run from 2:57- 3:19 is unbelievable in it's conveying of emotion (imo). Only once in a blue moon does music strike my soul like this, much love Buckethead.
This is one of my favorite songs by Bucket & I love everything there is about it but that guitar run he does at 9:06- 9-11 is something special. From his guitar tone, to his choice of notes, effects...it's perfect!!! I had my Buckethead playlist on my iTunes playing as I was decorating the tree & this gem came out of nowhere. Had to stop what I was doing & admire the Master's work.
I'v noticed lately every melody like this goes perfectly well with rain relaxation, When ever i see a weather report now, It will remind me of buckethead, And while the rest moan about the rain, I will let that rain pour down while buckethead play's melodies in the background -___-
lol'd and there are still people who say that BH can't play with soul/emotion/feelings blabla, etc, this song has everything i expect from a musician :)
Yes Frank wrote every part for every instrument in his songs and his abilities were well ahead of his time, its a shame he passed away when he did he would still be making incredible music today.
I can swear, after a certain point on this song, I didn't saw or felt anything, just listened and tried to handle it. This got me in trance, rare thing to me. But now I wonder... when I listen to a song, that explains universe and being to me, just in terms of sound, what happens to the artist, who plays the song? I will not wonder, if he carrys now a microverse in the guitar, with wich he played that. =)
1,122 songs....and counting. It's highly unlikely that even the most die hard fans have heard them ALL. The Rolling Stones have been around since Moses and they only have around 300 tunes!
will find a list soon of all the best rain + buckethead tracks for easy picking, and write them down on a comment, unless you want the fun of finding those gems, that ok too.
He sometime plays some songs from Electric Tears, haven't seen a clip of him playing Electric Sea, Captain Eo, Shadows Between The Sky though. On a side note, some of his shred works are weird, like Stun Operator, Double Man ... etc, but i wouldn't mind staying through a whole concert just for some Soothsayer and Nottingham Lace.
Oh i love that one too, i could only fit so many words in the comment, if i could i would of had a bigger list, there is a list you can chiose from a playlist that was created by polipoli i think.
Wow awesome to see someone mention Frank, I love Frank Zappa he was a true genius, very underrated. I know by saying what I'm about to people will get all pissed off and start and argument but oh well...In my opinion Frank was much better than Buckethead when it comes to writing music. now dont get me wrong Bucket is great too.
I appreciate anyone who appreciates Bucketheads music.
so true

He is just a God with guitar in his hand!

We love you buckethead❤
The buckethead has the power to touch one's soul with music.
everyday I find a new song by buckethead on youtube and its surprisingly amazing.
For me it would have to be the smell of summer at nighttime. It always makes me nostalgic because this used to be a very important song to me at a very special time in my life... God I miss 2011
I don't care what anyone says, this is one of the most beautiful, relaxing, and passionate pieces I've ever heard being played from a guitar.
Buckethead is a robot without emotion all he does is play fast fast fast!!!
tGhIeNrGmEiRte If this song is too fast for you, stick to weather channel music.
TheNikkuu it was kinda very slightly extremely ironically.
word, jam on ironically or not
+TheNikkuu Hey Hey Hey.... The Weather Channel has some good music. Don't talk shit on TWC!
too much love for this track ! one of the most magical song ever

Greatest guitarrist alive today. God amongst men.

Legend says that if you go to your nearest corn field at exactly midnight, you can see Buckethead playing to grow the corn faster

Only once in a blue moon does music strike my soul like this, much love Buckethead.
all the so-called guitar 'gods' can only sit and wonder how this guy plays. no one touches The Bucket
I have the same opinion...
no-one else is even remotely close, it's like comparing Liszt to a bunch of second-raters
This is one of my favorite songs by Bucket & I love everything there is about it but that guitar run he does at 9:06- 9-11 is something special. Frank was a genius in many ways. A great player, writer, & a crazy man who thought everyone was too serious.
Listening while working in a rainy mood morning.... awesome!!

6:17 i fucking love that tone and the lick
My favorite song
And people claim this man plays with no emotion, they say he's all shred. The poor fools.
this sound invigorates my soul
Yes Frank wrote every part for every instrument in his songs and his abilities were well ahead of his time, its a shame he passed away when he did he would still be making incredible music today.
you gotta love his wahwah tone i know i do i think its just a stock vox or dunlop too
Being serious now:The only reason to me to be on TH-cam is to listen to him.

Wow awesome to see someone mention Frank, I love Frank Zappa he was a true genius, very underrated. frank zappa's compositions don't have the emotional depth of Buckethead, it's just complexity for the sake of complexity
@Si Reg yeah I tried to understand the scales too.(But Buckethead is obviously too good)
minor scale on B I think
Wonderful player! reminds me quite a bit of Peter Frampton.
Sorry Peter, but you can't hold a candle to Buckethead. Love me some Buckethead.
There's no match for BH's talent and work ethic.
When I listened to this song, it felt like 10.32 minutes was very short.
6.19 nuff said
True
I feel so.sad because Buckehead iso sick gyus
Things is, the most view stuff here on youtube -about big b- is probably his shred stuff, not many dig down this far.
I feel like I am at a waiting room at a doctor's office :(.... But good song!!!!
at 5:50 nothing else matters from that point on
Someone know, who's the firts guy with buckethead, i love this picture!

You are welcome!

Oh, you're asking who that one guy is. I don't know, anyone know?
I Wish Buckethead was my dad !
In that first picture, it almost looks as though the mask has a smile on it.
Anyone have the real title of this song?
Hey guys does anyone know where i can find the guitar tabs for this song
I started to write them by ear, there are non online
Hi everyone...don't smoke weed. That is all
