I always wonder like what happens if the boss wins. Do they just stay as this huge weird monster forever. Does he go back home to sleep or does he just chill as a gross monster?

Saddle has the Master Plague so i think he can turn back to his form, his human body still intact so yeah
Sadler can go back to human form. He has full control over the Plaga which is why he is the leader. He mutated a bit in the Ada fight and reverted back to human form at the beginning of this vid
Sadler can revert back to his human form at will. We have already this when he killed off Sera Lewis halfway through the game.
Actually yall are saying he can turn back to human completely after mutating like this but there is no proof of this. Just because he could spawn a huge tentacle from some hidden place on his robe and look ok after doesn't mean he could turn back human after mutating in the end, that is just speculation.

One thing I liked about Saddler's character is how they made him seem as if he didn't care whether his plan failed or not. He was chill the whole time and enjoyed being an evil douchebag as long as he could.
Saddler is powerful and intelligent, but also arrogant and hubristic. He believed he could defeat Leon easily.

Agreed. I just ran past it to avoid it and that worked the majority of the time. I only died twice on this boss; the first death was because I shot a mine at it right before it pinned me down, so it was basically my mine that killed me. The second time it kept beating me while I didn't have a lot of health and wasn't able to open my inventory.

I miss this little moment in the remake. It just feels so satisfying to see Saddler realize that his one trump card he's maintained over Leon across 90% of the game has been taken away from him. Also notable for being one of the few visible cracks shown in his unwavering confidence.
and his laugh afterwards as he's actually amused by leon's achievement is golden. none of these subtle interactions are present in the remake...

Krauser’s fight was more engaging than this one.
mendez was harder than this guy, i mean, he has very clear weakness (the eyes) and you have a lot space to move arround. you can kill him with first weapon of the game.

Honestly I think they should’ve given Saddler two forms to give it more of a challenge. They should’ve had Leon fight him in his normal form like Ada did in Seperate ways and they after you beat him then he evolves into the boss we already fight. That would’ve been extra challenging!

As much as I absolutely loved the remake, I loathed saddler’s voice actor. He had way too many cult rants and his voice was vastly different. Don’t know what they were going with honestly. I always loved in the original how calm and confident saddler was. He seemed so unfazed by any thing Leon could manage to do.

@@esguy502 She was ''working for'' The Organisation and was given orders to ''work for'' Wesker without him realizing he was being double crossed. But ultimately, she's using The Organisation for her own benefit to achieve her ''objective'' which we the players still don't know what that is. At the end of RE4, she gives a dead sample of Las Plagas to Wesker, giving the live sample to The Organisation I think? I think at the end of Separate Ways, she mentions that. By RE5 or 6, Las plagas samples were already on the black market, I think that's how Wesker made Ouroboros? That's probably the gist of it tho. it's been over 10 years I replayed RE4,5 and 6 lmao;;
Yeah, I get 6 wasn’t well liked and all but they left WAY too many unanswered questions with it’s ending(s). Re7 and 8 haven’t even acknowledged the existence of it yet. If it weren’t Chris and this new version of Umbrella, it wouldn’t even seem as though it’s Resident Evil at all. Still good games, just wish they’d come back around to answer the unanswered questions from 6.

The organisation got it through her, maybe it got leaked out through them? She apparently has her own personal agenda, but capcom never got that far in her plot lol. We probably would have got more out 9f her had capcom went with the initial 8dea of having her in Village

Everytime when I play the game from the very beginning to the end I can't help but to smile as I went through a horrifying and terrifying experience as it was such a nail-biting and intense rollercoaster thrill ride as it kept me on the edge of my seat as I endure pure evil, hell, agony, pain, despair, and trauma 😰😱 as I had to do everything what it takes to survive. It was just so satisfying and epic knowing that I conquer all of it.😍😎💯👍

Agreed. The OG had better tension and balanced the goofiness with the horror better, plus Saddler's final speech here is one of my favorite villain monologues. The Remake had better graphics and gameplay, but they toned downed a lot of characterization for "modern" gamers.

I noticed RE: Villiage has a lot of similarities. Interestedly, the same music composer, Shusaku Uchiyama who worked on both the Original RE2 and 4 composed for Village as well.

You must mean the dialogue. Cause this boss fight was the easiest in the entirety of OG RE4. Even I was able to kill him on my first try very quickly.
I mean the whole thing. Characters have more life in the sense of strong characteristics. Dialog is better. Saddler does not talk a lot during the fight.
But the only better part of the remake is that Novistadores will help him during the fight. That I found more credible and harder. But the second part of the fight is boring cause the only thing you gotta do is shooting that yellow protection he's in. I still prefer the OG overall for those reasons

The amount of ammo and health I tried to save for final boss fight only to find out that he is the easiest boss in the game was disappointing. 😅
hes pretty chill in his encounters with him throughout the game but i love how you can tell just how genuinely pissed off he is at leon by the end. the voice acting is very aged to say the least in this game but that final dialogue from him is really epic imo

This is so weird to me. I found this battle very easy. I was expecting more until I saw the credits. I was like "What? This is it?"
Personally, the final boss has it's difficult points. I didn't have a lot of ammo to spare for this boss battle and it's difficult to dodge Saddler on those narrow platforms. But compared to U3 or some other boss in RE4, I can see why people see the final boss as a kind of disappointment.

I don't believe the Merchant dies, since he can follow Leon and Ada anywhere they go, he had some kind of Teleportation powers. also he knows all the secret passage and probably make it out the Island when Leon fights Saddler. he probably retires now, living in luxurious all the treasures and pesetas he gets from Leon, Ada, Zealots and Militias that brought Rocket Launchers and Ammunitions. also he got mentioned in Resident Evil 8
Missed chance of not infecting Ada with las plagas
Before this fight, I had the riot gun, blacktail, killer 7, tmp/stock, and minethrower all upgraded to max damage. All I needed to do was shoot his mouth eye 3 times with the killer 7, use adas rpg then I was done.
I'm someone who never has and likely never will play Resident Evil. I have played all of the Devil May Cry games, and I've learned that the series has its roots in Resident Evil, so I felt it necessary to at least look through clips and stuff. In this game, I see a lot of parallels with Dante's exploits on Mallet Island. I wonder, was this the creator's original plan for that game before he rebranded it?
Peter Seaboldt biohazard 4 had three builds. The Hookman version, RE4, and DMC. You can definitely see the similarities in DMC and RE4 with the snarky protagonist and the blonde girl and escaping an exploding island on an unconventional vehicle and being mostly castle based. Devil may cry was supposed to be RE4 but was too far off what RE was so it split into two games.
@@ollytherev2957 I also run across some thoughts that Devil May Cry and Resident Evil are within the same universe. As cool as that sounds, I have to disagree, because if that were true, the Devil Hunters would make short work of the outbreaks that happen here.
