Hi! I went ahead and re-checked for you. In my case it is only a misprint of a single page. The rest of my book is without error. It should be said: I don’t flip through Every page when I do my book reviews so the skipping in numbering you may be noticing in my video is just me skipping pages during the recording.
@ not at all! I did hear in one case a friend was missing close to 20 pages from their collection but to date I’ve only heard of that error in one copy (though more are possible). This single page misprint though is present in the whole print run from my understanding. Hope this help! Still a fun book I thought personally but of course to each their own 🕷️
While a pain, I can deal with the misprint as I've got the original two volume trades of the saga. Especially as I found it online from my usual go to site for omnibus for just $50 😃
With the misprint, and the subsequent news that they won’t fix it, Marvel basically confirmed that they don’t give a damn about the fans and they have selected quantity over quality. I wanted this Omni but I won’t buy this one nor would I spend more money on Marvel omnis for awhile.
@@Carlos-xz3vi I can certainly understand the frustration. This was still a worthwhile collection for me particularly since my copy only had the one page error. I loved having an opportunity to read these issues-many for the very first time for me. But again, I can certainly understand your perspective
I picked up the DM. That Web of Spider-man cover is one of my favorite covers. Im gonna pre-order the Web of Spider-Man omni with the Mike Zeck cover next month for some more this black suit era. I really enjoyed the Roger Stern book, so I can't wait to read more of this era. As someone who is newish to spider-man, I enjoy the one-offs and shorter storylines that focus on him and don't get him to wrapped up in larger events.
@@Nomad-md2wi that is so awesome! I’m hoping to pre-order that Webber Spider-Man book eventually as well as budget allows. 🕷️ Other than Roger Stern, have you had any other favorite Spider-Man reads?
@TheComicBookReport I really enjoyed Spider-Man Blue and JMS vol. 1 was a lot of fun. I went all out on Spider-Man this year collecting all the omnis covering Roger Stern through the three Michelinie books, McFarlane, Larsen, and Bagley 1 along with this one. Lots of Spider-Man to read.
I also love episodic stories of old. Don't get me wrong I like Events too. But I love these kind of stories. Like I love the Thanksgiving and Christmas specials of comic runs. Now it's all just events.
@gabrielcarrasco9078 I've always felt like episodic stories are where you get to know the characters. Their personality and values. Who they are at their core. Events are about testing that and making them question those things, or in the case of the larger company wide events, show their place in the universe they share. The characters are best served when the writers balance the two.
Appreciate the discussion on the printing issue. I was very excited to get this but held off once I heard. I’m hoping that the error will make it go on an overstock sale down the road and I can pick it up for cheap! Great discussion on the material too, one of the things I love about this period is how different it is from other darker interpretations down the road
@@ttrain85 of course! I definitely wanted to provide a review that both addressed the error but also still covered the content of the book 🕷️ I personally still had a blast with it but I can appreciate why collectors skip as well. This was my first time reading many of the issues in the collection and I was actually surprised how dark it ISN’T especially given the black costume. But yeah, still a great collection-loved the creators’ focus on the cast and supporting cast of characters. You don’t always see that in modern runs either.
@@VenAuri yeah to each their own, to me it was still definitely worth it, particularly since I had that issue with the misprint already collected in another book. But I can understand buyer hesitancy due to the error. I definitely had fun with this book-this was a gap in my Spider-Man reading for so long. Wonderful to have an opportunity to read the issues. I particularly liked the Spidey / Black Cat dynamic
I'm not a huge Spider-Man fan nowadays, to be honest, but this was the Spider-Man of my childhood. At that time, I was a Spidey fan and I really liked Black Cat. So there's a lot of nostalgia what comes to this book.
*NOTE: This edition has a known misprint-see video for details.
It's not just a misprint. Relook in your book as I saw a bunch of pages numbered at the bottom that are missing in there from page 760.

Ah gotcha! What an idiot I am lol Id heard about pages missing as well as the misprint. Thanks for clearing that up 😊@TheComicBookReport

Nice review, a shame that there's a misprint, might wait for a fixed reprint.

Such a blast.
