A lot of childhood memories of seeing the Black Costume on the Animated Series. I always loved the fact that the the costume could change into any regular clothes at any time.
My favorite symbiot moment is how he really grim and stops pulling his punches he got. He was similar to Batman in the way he struck insane fear. My favorite version of him was when in the back in black series where he beat the living crap! Out of kingpin. It seemed so badass and just weird for him a sane and perfectly nice man turn so grim to the point he would kill someone! Well I hope everyone the best of luck and hope you the best carbon scoring😄

The 90s Spider-Man animated series would always be my favorite. The fight over Peter’s psyche was always the highlight of that saga.
*had that black suit spidey from the 90s and always thought the gimmick was cool with the ab piece zip line.

My first and favourite memory of the black suit will always be from the 90s Animated Series. Really loved how they took aspects of it in Raimi's Spider-Man Three, such as the opening shot with Spidey hanging upside down on a building and also the bell tower scene. Also just really liked the visual appeal of the suit with the blue highlights in the Animated series.
I like the animated series for that same reason. It integrated comic story lines and made entire season long arcs. It was nice to see after some of the earlier cartoons had more serialized story telling.
My favorite Black Suit memories include watching the animated series when I came home from school. The entire clock tower episode is so classic. Christopher Daniel Barnes voice acting is amazing. SHOCKER!!! YOU CAN'T ESCAPE ME!!!
i think my favorite memory of black suit spidey is watching spiderman 3 on dvd when i was younger. i loved that movie so much and i still love that movie to death (although that is an unpopular opinion). another great memory was watching spectacular spider-man when he first got the symbiote. i was completely blown away!

I can understand why you wouldn’t. Any version of him is expensive these days. Getting the retro version was tough as it is.
Best black suit moment for me is in spectacular Spider-Man episode intervention. He finally starts to realize the poison of the Symbiote, and he recalls all the good he’s done, and that he’s worthy without it. I still have the figure from the show.
This is my favorite action figure channel because of the consistency with his collection and he always has something to show and I really appreciate that I love his content and the bass in the intro is peak and will always remind me of better times when I first found this guy on my TH-cam page. my favourite black suit spider-man moments isn't really a moment but probably the "back in black" john byrne covers that used negative space to portray peter in his new black suit through new york at night, such an iconic and experimental cover they brought it back with miles!
edit: also that moment in kraven's last hunt where kraven wears the black suit while looking at peter's grave, great villain moment

I think my favorite moment of Spider-Man in the black suit is in Kraven's Last Hunt. When he's talking about how the mask of Spider-Man is a coffin, and how he has to break Peter Parker free. And then there's the panel when he bursts out of his grave, and it's just perfect
That comic was nice. Never thought a minor villain like vermin could be so scary.
That storyline had me shook! I love it! I recently realized someone "borrowed" one of the issues while I was in college, now I have to hunt it down 😢
i think the symbiote suit is my favorite after the classic. It’s so sleek and super cool and i hope they end up introducing it and doing it right in the mcu, because it’s a damn good suit
ngl my Favorite memory i have of Spidey in black was back in Spider man 3 when he was stalking sandman and he was blending right into the shadows. It was so dope as a kid, and it still is every time i re-watch the movie.
I agree with you on the whole thing with the alternate suits. Spidey is definitely one where the alt is just as good as the regular suit if not better.
Fax spider-man is the only character that has an alternate suit that is just as iconic as the main suit
Favorite Black suit figure I ever had was the Spider-Man from the Raimi Trilogy wave from 2008 that was half black half red and blue as if the symbiote was in the middle of taking over, not the best action figure but definitely one of a kind, so bad ass!
You my friend had a pretty valuable figure. I had the sandman build a figure Spider-Man and there was a difference in quality from toy biz to hasbro
My favorite iteration has to be from the spectacular Spider-Man cartoon. The bell tower episode was my favorite in the series and was great. Reminded me of an issue of Amazing by j michael straczynski where Peter had to relive his life in order to save the avengers. The black costume was just handled masterfully in that series. Best series hands down.

My first memories of the black suit were from the 90's Animated series and several toys I had as a kid. And I remember back when Spider-Man 3 came out, the black suit was EVERYWHERE. Everything was split black and red. Love the design, it's my favorite Spidey suit, and I love the characters and lore that has come out of it since. And that Mafex one has been on my radar since it was announced
One of my few most iconic memories of the black suit is webbing up eddie brock in the bell tower, and then fighting shocker, only for the suit to push him off the bell tower and peter saving him with his webs before ripping the suit off with the help of the bell, and while tobey's black spider suit got a lot of hate I enjoyed it because it kept the style of the red and blue suit but turned it black, and showed that it was making him different.
My favorite memory of the black suit was when I was four and me and my grandpa were shopping on the fourth of july and I saw the superherosquad black suit Spiderman figure and he got but he saved it till Christmas I realized how similar my story and your story are also been subscribed since 2021 and liked when the video as soon as the video went up
My best memory of the black suit was when I saw Spider-Man 3 in theaters as a kid! I remember when Peter was hanging upside down in the black suit for the first time with that awesome music in the background that gave me chills as a kid. I'll always remember that.
My favorite black suit spiderman moment is the venom symbiote in Spectacular Spider-Man. I like how each episodes of the symbiote story line builds up Venom and the design for black suit spiderman looks amazing.

I liked the snark he had in the movie. Reminded me of his attitude during his college days where he was took no one’s crap.
My favorite version of the black suit was the animated series. Specifically when he was chasing shocker. In second place though is probably the bell scene in spiderman 3. It's so iconic and I love the acting of Tobey Maguire.

One of my favorite stories with the black costume doesn’t really feature the symbiote but the cloth version. The symbolism for his costume choice, despite there being no need for one at the time, was always pretty cool to me. That and the back in black arc was just insane. It was the first time I saw a focused Peter and the scene with him webbing the police officer outside of costume was unexpected and kept me reading. My favorite was at the end where he acknowledged the felonies he’s committed. It was such a different tone of story that I think is often overlooked due to the next arc being one of the most hated (cough cough One More Day).
Loved "Back in Black!" Especially the scene where Pete breaks into prison to put Kingpin in his place for the hit on Aunt May. I've never seen Pete so ruthless, and then threatening to kill him with webbing suffocation? Unbelievable!
My favorite version of the Black Suit is from Spectacular with how it went from the Spider-Man 3 design and slowly evolved into a more comic accurate look, I think it would have been cool if they did that in the Raimi Trilogy. (It could have the big logo and eyes, maybe give it the mangled webs that Venom had in the movies to avoid the gimp suit look) Also love how the suit took over Peter's body like a puppet and faced the sinister six ruthlessly.

I kinda like the Spider-Man 3 design for what it is. There’s subtle changes that I think make it pretty good. The shinier pattern on the body of the suit makes it more alive.
My first and favorite memory of the Black Suit was seeing it for the first time in Spider-Man 3. I know it's not a good movie, but I'm very biased as it was my first experience with Spidey.
I used to watch the 90's Spider-man show i had on VHS, and thats when I first saw the black suit, it was love on first sight. But how they handled the suit in the Spectacular show was just perfect, the slow consuption of peter through time and him fighting against the suit by reminding himself of Uncle Ben's words of wisdom, it tied everything together, what an awesome arc.

my favorite memory for sure is when the black suit first appeared in the spiderman 3 movie. They really did the suit well in it and I loved how well it turned out in older action figures they made of it as well and just the way the web lines stand out in the suit. also another favorite memory of the black suit for me is the shattered dimensions suit. It does look a lot more purple than black but to me that’s what makes it looks good since it’s more unique than other suits we see.
I think my favorite memories of Black suit Spidey was the entire Venom arc from Spectacular Spidey.
I love the build up with the writing and the use of the changing character designs throught the episodes it was in to show Spidey's descent and eventual triumph against the suit.
Also Kraven's Last Hunt was such a cool story especially the use of symbolism with the art and how they showed the difference between Kraven and Peter's body types lol.

My personal favorite moment is in the "Kraven Last Hunt" when he gets out of the grave, not only that moment is incredibly badass, but how that moment really make a statment in Spider-Man art, AND every single time that It gets replicated or honored It will always be SO COOL.
Favorite black suit black suit; Web of Spider-Man issue 1 (also had a great cover), the disguising itself as Peter's red and blue costume to latch on to Peter. The struggle between Spidey, those Vulture guys, and the symbiote in the following issue was awesome; the symbiote saving Peter at the end, and eventually bonding with Eddie Brock to become Venom. It was legendary!

I love how the suit looks in that series. The blue cel-shading, the jacked up physique, the fist webshooters! That did it for me, as well!

Another awesome video, Carbon Scoring! My favorite black suit spidey memory was growing up in the early 2000’s and seeing it for the first time on the big screen in Spider-Man 3! Spider-Man has always been such a symbol of selflessness and responsibility, and seeing him turn so dark was honestly scary as a kid, but it was the redemption arc that came towards the end of the movie that was yet another reminder of the great responsibility that comes with being a hero. Absolutely amazing. Thanks again for another great one!
My favorite moment of black suit spidey was my first. I was on an airplane and they had tobey maguires spiderman 3 and i watched it fully through and loved it. My favorite scene was the fight between spiderman and sandman in the subway.This was also what started my spiderman obsession.
Honestly, my favorite story is Kraven’s last hunt specifically due to the art panel where peter crawls out of his own grave. Spider-Man’s art inspires me tremendously as an artist and that has to be one of my favorites!
Loved the mental battle Peter went through to rid himself of the symbiote in Spectacular, and the bond he had with Eddie before the rivalry. Love the videos, really great stuff! Keep it up!
So much could be said about Mighty Muggs, Hasbro being so insanely perceptive and ahead of their time, doing a mass market spin on graphic designer vinyls like those of kidrobot. Will always be much cooler than pop figures.

I think my favorite black suit Spidey moment would have to be the episode of Spectacular where Peter and the Symbiote were fighting over control, and uncle Ben helped Pete regain control. It was a great episode and I think it really highlighted the difference between Peter’s and the suits differing attitudes. It was great.

My favorite black suit moment is DEFINITELY when it took Peter's body for a ride and silently beat up the Sinister Six in Spectacular Spider-Man. It's such a cool yet chilling idea that shows how in control the symbiote really is.
I really like the Ultimate Symbiote suit, the purple makes it seem almost more alien like. Hope Hasbro release an Ultimate Venom soon too

Designwise, ive always loved both Ben Reillly suits, but the one that always is close to my heart is the ultimate spidey version. It didnt take mutch liberties except for the spider in the bac, it did'nt need to. It solidified the idea of "if it ai'nt broken, do'nt fix it". I also love that version 'cause the very first comic book I ever got as a kid was Ultimate Spider-Man #75, so you know I was gonna always love that spidey version.
That Mattel Secret Wars figure, sure brings back a lot of memories. That was my first contact with the black costume as we didn't get comics at that time in the Dominican Republic. I fell in love with that look, right away. I had the foam glider that came with the black costume figure, and of course, it didn't fly

My favorite story involving the Black Suit was Back In Black during Straczynski's run on ASM. One moment in particular where Peter's on the phone with MJ, she's trying to calm him down, but he's in so much pain that May could die that he can't stop himself. And he used the suit as a symbol that he's not the same Spider-Man.
Same. The whole Civil War era of Spider-Man was mature and was some of the best character drama I’ve read.

My Favorite moment I’ve had with the black suit is how well it was represented in the animated Show “Spectacular Spider-Man” by far my favorite Spider-Man animated show. The reason why it stick out to me is because throughout the show the more Peter would use it the more it would change and the suit would change and it had a big impact on Peters life. I love Spider-Man and everything about him and the figures even more!!

Easily one of my favorite channels on TH-cam. I recently came back into collecting with my first Marvel Legends being the Retro Card-Back Spidey and drastically increasing from there. I was born in 2001 so I literally grew up with the Sam Raimi trilogy of Spider-Man movies. I know it is a little controversial, but Spider-Man 3 was my favorite Spider-Man movie for the longest time and is one of the only movies today that makes me cry. When Spidey put on the black suit for the first time it was one of the most badass things I've ever seen. I remember my friend and I would pretend to be Peter and Harry on the playground, so that movie leaves a really special place in my heart. Thanks for being awesome and doing what you're doing man, I eagerly anticipate every video!
I feel you. I got back into collecting with the retro line and haven’t looked back. The raimi movies were my gateway into the character and from then on I lived in comic book shops looking for figurines and books. The power of blockbusters cannot be understated.

Your videos are always like a little gift every Saturday morning, really in love with this channel, especially all the comics history you share! My favorite black suit moment is pretty small but it's in issue 266 of TASM when Toad tells Spidey to imagine him in Black Cat's spot, there's a hilarious panel of Spidey's thought bubble portraying Toad in Cat's suit striking one of her poses. This has always been funny to me just due to Spidey's eye expressions being shown on the mask.
My symbiote suit is definitely tobeys. When he stands on the side of the building, and “this is something else”. All of it makes it my goat

One of my earlist memories of the Black Suit Spidey is watching the 90s cartoon, playing Web of Shadows on my old ps3, and watching Spider-Man 3 on dvd those were times I'll never forget. The Black Suit is one of my favorite version of the classic Spidey look just and It's always a joy to see others adapt the soryline in shows, games, or movies!

One of my favorite moments with the black suit or iteration of it has to be from spectacular Spider-Man. I loved how the suit changed and evolved over time the more it corrupted and took over Peter Parker’s body and mind. I also love how when he was forced to confront the suit and remove it from his body, he had to fight it in his mind with willpower and Uncle Ben’s advice by showing him what it means to be Spider-Man and all the good things he’s done as Spider-Man. Definitely my favorite iteration of the black suit of all time.
There’s just something so COOL about black suit Spider-Man. Probably my favorite alternate suit. Definitely remember watching him on the Saturday morning Fox cartoon lineup with the animated series. So good!

As flawed as Spider-Man 3 is, the introduction of the black suited Spider-Man in that movie will always be stuck in my head for as long as i’m alive. The music, the suspense, the flawless cgi, the MUSIC AGAIN? That’s a pretty perfect scene in my eyes.
These mystery box videos always fascinate me. Thoroughly enjoy watching them. Never managed to get the Marvel Legends black suit Spidey on the Pizza Spidey mould, but thankfully picked up the Retro black suit Spidey early last year. To walk in to my local Smyths toy shop and see one on the pegs, that was a good day. Now, they just seem to get the MCU waves, so picking a non MCU figure off the pegs seems to be a thing of the past in Smyths.

“Im gonna put some dirt in your eye”. Between the symbiote and classic suit, I can never choose which is better. I do love the more menacing side of spidey and how sleek the suit looks on him.
My favorite version of the black suit was the one from Spectacular Spiderman. I didn't know that the lines slowly disappearing from the suit was on purpose. I honestly thought that they wanted the costume to look cooler. My favorite moment from that arc was when Spiderman beat the Insidious Six while he was asleep. It really drives the narrative that the suit it using Peter and not the other way around

My favorite was a miniature my mom bought me when I was under 10 years old. The ones that fit in your palm. She recently passed away last year on my 26th birthday. Been reliving my childhood trying to remember her. Watching your videos from time to time kinda help. Much love man.

I think my favourite time I had with the symbiote suit was when he appeared in ultimate spider man. I know not many people like that show but I adored it, especially how spider man slowly turned more scary with those sharp teeth and tongue

My favorite memories with Spidy in the symbiote suit were from The Spectacular Spider-man. Those episodes were so fun to see how the symbiote changed Peter and how it almost got him, and we see Uncle Ben to save him, and the battle between the symbiote and Spidy was the best.
My favorite black suit spidey moment… That’s a tough one. I’ve always loved the black suit? So picking just one moment is tough, so here’s 2! 1: The iconic “SHOCKER!!!!” From Spider-Man TAS. Theres so much emotion in that shout. 2: Spidey pulling off that black suit in Spider-Man 3. It’s just a great scene. Peter struggling to pull it off, along with Tobey Maguire’s great acting, makes a great scene.

What makes me like the black suit is how dark Spider-Man’s personality gets and how aggressive he is with it on. I like how he strikes fear into his enemies

If you read the story of what if the alien costume had possessed spidey you see what possibly happen if the suit stay on peter until he can't be able to remove it. A great story, love that comics sinc i was i child. Symbiote suit is still my favorite one
I just got my MAFEX symbiote Spidey, and the moment I moved the first joint hit me a huge wave of nostalgia and familiarity as to when I got my Toybiz symbiote Spidey. This version of the suit means so much to me to when the good times were actually just pure bliss. I remember when I got the issue of Back to Black at the same time Disney XD aired the symbiote arc on both rerun 90s and Spectacular Spider-Man.
That was arguably one of the best eras of my childhood.
I just realized this kind of recently, but it was really amazing how that original Toybiz Spider-Man Classics Spidey actually had pinless joints!
