Certainly can understand your appreciation of A/C, but it was so enjoyable seeing the dogs taking full advantage of the cold air. We live in Florda and we even had a/c installed on our 25 ft Bayliner, unfortunately we needed to stay at a marina overnight but it certainly made it comfortable for the night.
The AC has been an absolute life saver here in The Bahamas sure the summer months. We would have been suffering so so bad without it. glad you are staying cool!
Nothing beats a/c in the marina now and then. Best sleep ever! Can you tell me the brand and part number of the port lights that are mounted in the plexiglass of your windows? I would love to add a few on our boat……
AC has been sooooo good! Even if it is temporary. The port lights are the standard lewmar ones that were installed by the Beneteau factory team. I would send you a link to the specific ones, but they have come along way in development in the last 14 years. So check out what lewmar has to offer. www.lewmar.com
Loved seeing the Doggies and you both enjoying the cool air and the dehumidifier, those stand alone units are really great aren't they ? Also it was worth getting that new Pymp, as your old pump definitely needs more than a basic Aservice kit offers by the look of it, a full refurbishment with new bearings and likely bearing shafts as well, if available, or sorted in a machine shop should give you a worthwhile Spare Unit with luck. Still, with a new unit, not exactly a mad panic to get that done now, and the Caribbean does seem to have a good number of competent machine shops around, which other Cruisers should be able to recommend ? Best Wishes and Keep Safe. Bob in Wales. 🤔🌟🌟🌟👍❤️
WE are seriously loving our new/temp AC unit. It has really changed things for us. And yes, the pump is so good and you raise a great idea of creating a spare with the old one. We will let you know if we are able to make good use from it. All the best Bob. FYI - We love Wales!!!
@@SailingZephyr Really Rooting for you guys keeping Safe during the rest of Hurricane Season. Best Wishes. Bob, who just might be finally Afloat again in the next 12 months. I might even be able to get a new Dufour 44, and a Custom Shallow Draft Lead Wing Keel for it, if things pan out OK. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻 🌟🌟🌟❤️👍
@@SailingZephyr I'm a bit biased in favour of Wales, having been Born and Bred in God's own Country Pembtokeshire, though no longer am a SelshSpeaker, and have loved Sailing around Our Coasts, and across and up the zirish Sea They turned out to be a very good classroom tbh. Glad to hear the AC Unit is Working out really well, and clearly the Diggies love it 😀 Best Wishes, and Keep Safe, Hurricanes are bloody Nasty, Nd almost cost me the index finger of my left hand, though luckily was able to Superglue it back together So Stay Safe. 🌟👍❤️
Great channel. I have a couple questions. What are the length draft and weight of your boat? Looks like your anchor is a Mantis M1 what size is it and are you happy with the anchor performance. Thanks!!
Hi Ron! It’s only an 8000 but it works just fine for the salon. If you start opening up doors to cabins then it struggles! We are in crazy heat and humidity though, so I guess it depends where u are! Hope to see you out there! And thanks for watching
If it's comfortable enough, the boat isn't too small, and you can Grin due to all the Money you are Saving on Berths, haulouts, and Maintenance Costs. I'm Naturalised Cardi, and proud of it, and there's nothing more we like even better than Saving Money ourselves, it's seeing other People Saving Money. Frankly, I'm a bit gutted at needing a bigger bost than the Sub 50 foot LOA Bosts I've always had, so Sailing expenses have been really reasonable, especially with the Bilge Keel Boats I've had- wait for the tide to go out, get off the bost and do a full inspection and service on a nice day, then I've even been able to put in a solid mooring on a local Estuary for a free of Charge Mooring, so Sailing costs have been very low in gorgeous scenery. Scrub the Hull ? wait for the tide to go out. Antifoul the Hull ? zwait for the Tide to go out.,Work done ? climb back aboard and put the kettle on. Bliss. Best . Bob. 😄🌟🌟🌟
Glad you got the opportunity to cool down and be comfortable. It can be so draining to be overheated for and extended period of time.
It's so bloody hot lol
James I hope you didn't burn your Retina's looking at that shiny new pump without sunglasses! LOL.
She's sure pretty looking. I love new engine parts. Especially if they are uber shinny. Working like a charm so far.

Awesome! How are you doing with the storm?
All good. So far just a bit of wind and loads of thunderstorms. We have been lucky thus far. All the best from us.
