I am super pumped that you may put in Fridge drawers. I want to do the same thing to my boat and would love to see that project come to light on yours. Good luck with all the work!
For the outside teak, I suggested using Semco Teak Sealer when you furnished in Annapolis. That was when I only had two years on my use of it. Now I have 4-years. I wash it down spring and fall and wipe on an additional coat with a 2" square patch of terry cloth. It still looks great, and water beads up on the surface. Over the years, I have tried everything from natural wood gone gray, to oils, to varnish. The Semco is the only thing I have ever tried that continues to work with minimal upkeep. The first time I did coated it over bare, sanded teak, I used 1/2 pint. I just finished that original pint after 4-years of spring and fall maintenance coats because once it is sealed the first time, it does not continue to soak into the wood. It comes in 4-color tones, and I like the lighter tones of Natural or Honey tone.
This might be a winner! I have been thinking this whole passage what to do with them this season! I keep looking at them and trying to figure out what would be best! Thank you 🙏 will look into semco once in the states! Thanks for watching
@@SailingZephyr Just to be clear, the Semco is different from all other teak finishes. When you put it on, it makes the teak waterproof, but it looks and feels like bare, unfinished sanded teak. It has no gloss and looks like nothing is there. It has a little bit of color but does not mask the grain at all. I sand with 100 grit or 150 at most and put it on with a rag. Some do not like the look because it does not give a glossy finish but personally, I prefer the natural look that lasts for a long time with no maintenance. It was developed to protect teak decks. If you do go with it, I would suggest using their 2-part cleaner to remove any left-over oil or decayed wood before finishing.
You guys!!! Talk to the Yacht Rigger in St Pete! We had a ton of work done there; they will let you stay on your boat there…they have shower/bathroom, etc if you need to get hauled out. Call and talk to Stephen Lloyd. They have a great TH-cam channel as well and maybe do a little collaboration with them…then just fly to Annapolis if you’re boat showing it.
May I suggest you look at SV Spear-It Animal's set up with a hard top that goes from the dodger all the way back to over where the dingey hangs and includes the pulleys to hoistthe dingey. The stainless steel tubing they used is very robust too. Something to think about.
For the fridge, have you thought about changing the door to be a split one so you could just move items to the side to access things you have forgotten? As for the bimini, if you simply added zip in window panels, it would solve a lot, but not all, of your complaints. I have the same type of cockpit cushions, and I usually don't even bother with them. I'm glad you are finally going to get a new water tank.
what ever you do in choosing a new sink do not opt for one that hard right angles as they are a total disaster to clean. Elect to install one that has gentle curves which is so much easier to clean. Jim Rodgers
Hi Guys. Just a thought on that "Last Bid Window" to change , would it make sense to replace it with smaller square Skylights as no loss on the amount of light below, plus it may well work out cheaper and definitely so for future replacing, especially as your boat is a definite Keeper ? 🤔 Sucks that the Dodger Bimini is such an expensive Project 😞 So thoughts on a much bigger Atronger Aft Cockpit Solar Arch in say 34mm 316 Stainless - not that heavy for a decent amount of extra Solat, along with a dramatic Reduction in the Size, and therefore cost of the Bimini, to connect from the Arch to a Solid Dodger ? I've heard that the best Stainless Steel Fabricator is on the French side of St Maartin, but I was headed there in 2016, so don't know if he's still alive, or if there is someone better now. Also, watch out for Fake Sunbrella Cloth, which lasts less than 10 years, the genuine Sunbrella should do 20 years ? Best Wishes. Bob in Wales. 🤔🌟🌟🌟👍❤️
PS. I hate to say it, as I've always liked Yamaha Outboards, but right now, the Suzuki Warranty absolutely wipes the floor with Yamaha, and they doo seem to be Just as good ? I'm even considering the Suzuki 9.9 hp (actually the same engine as the 15 hp and 20 hp, just minor changes to engine management etc, so should be really low stressed, and is the max for the 3eaago 10 ft inflatable Hypalon type air deck and keel tender I'm after next. Actually there's a wide range ge of Seago Products from Brilliant Liferafts that have come top in comparison Testing for literally Decades now, to Lifejackets, dinghies, etc, that badly are in need of long term Reviews, and which definitely includes a new UV Resistant PVC, plus UV protection Covers for inflatable dinghies, that are pretty decent value. The Seago Stuff, and getting it, may delay the purchase of the new Island Packet IP 349, and nudge the purchase of a Sailboat on this side of the Atlantic, to take all the stuff needing testing with me😅 still, at least can bring a few spare Outboards with me 4 Tohatsu / Mercury 2 strokes and a Yamaha 4 hp (dad's 15 hp 2 stroke Yamaha is somewhere, along with a nearly new 50 hp Evinrude lol - though I think late uncle had borrowed those. 🤔 the 4 hp Yamaha was a better, with that on the Dinghy, I actually managed to pull my friend's very heavy Macwester off a Sandbank he had firmly embedded it into " Crasher" could collide with withnanything, especially if it was in Clear view. 😅
Don't make this mistake - If you can... get a motor that has both "power tilt AND power trim" 😮 My Suzuki 20 only has power tilt... Wish I had the power trim again like my last motor had.

Don't forget to give us an update on how that Total Boat A tifouling has performed please ? Bob. ❤
PS. I spotted it on haulout in another video, and frankly that Total Boat Antifouling was absolutely Crap ! What a Bummer, one to avoid. If it can still be used, frankly I will personally stick with Pettit Trinidad Pro Hard antifouling - 2 coats of epoxy primer, then 2 coats of Antifoul, and that should be good for 7 years, just pressure wash on annual haulouts, with de slime scrub when in the water for the last 3 to 4 years - brilliant for the Caribbean, which was why I put it on my last Sailboat. Though now, I know the yard I can Trust to Properly apply CopperCoat antifouling, though may use a couple of coats of a decent self polisher to get me to it. All the Best. Bob. 👍

How about Nats buys James a set of hair clippers as part of the refit!. LOL

Hey guys! Don't forget that we are here in West Palm Beach if you need us!

in stead of replacing the dodger do what Spear it Animal did, also sailing Ocean melody. More solar rain capture sun protection. Lot less canvas.

Lots of work ahead but the boat will look great.
Just a thought on reducing fresh water consumption from dishes, I rinse with a squiter bottle of warm fresh water saving lots.
