Samsung S23+ user here, i buy this phone back at December last year... At the first month the battery drain is a little quickly, but after about... February after some updates and using it regularly, it start to stabilize...
I have exact this phone and it's still so good. I can't be happier and there is not even one reason to upgrade. 6.1 has still a few less bugs, but Samsung is very fast with solving such things. And by the way, my Accu is this so good, i never have problems to finish the day. (Sorry for my english - 49 old German Guy😉)

I switched from Xs, other than no Apple Pay and the camera operation, I couldn’t be happier with the s23. So much more control and performance compared to iphones
Since, after the OneUI 6.1 update, S23 got almost all of the AI features, I see no reason to ditch a Snapdragon & buy an Exynos which just offers more Android updates...meh!
I'm still using an old LG V30 but am ready to upgrade. What are your thoughts on getting an S23 at a discounted price in 2024? My LG V30 cost about $700 at the time, which I thought was super expensive but that seems like entry level phone prices these days.
For me I just upgraded a week ago from a s20+ 5g and the s23 is what I think is perfect for me as I don't upgrade often but this has been a great experience so far and am really happy and see the s23 as my permanent phone going forward.
Watching from s23.. before this use Google pixel 5. Then I got to choose between pixel 7 or s23. At beginning I wish I buy pixel 7.. later on after using about 2 week.. I glad choose s23
Are 7 years of software updates important to you? If not then go for s23. If yes then go for s24. I was in a similar boat earlier this month and went with s23 as I really don't trust the exynos chip to last more than 2 to 3 years.

I'll say go with the S23 & here's why - I'm using my S20+ with the Exynos chipset and it's not a smooth experience tbh. The chip is very underpowered when compared to Snapdragon and does not perform well. I'm also facing battery drain issues and because of that I'm forced to use the 60hz refresh rate. So all in all, avoid Exynos and go from Snapdragon and you'll be fine.

Thank you Pedja for the video, it has clarified many things for me about the faithful brand for software and screen, and I have opted for an s23 256gb when discarding an A54 because of the screen frames. I follow you and tell you how it goes with this compact, accustomed to using the Zfold3 professionally, and the A71, (to check its usefulness when it stops having updates but with a Snapdragom). I value the weight, the comfort of use with one hand, and the chip processor in the battery, large screen, sound... thanks Pedja.
Why are you even confused? S23 doesn't even compete with the 15, it competes with the 15 pro. Its got a telephoto lens, and a high refresh rate. S23 should be the obvious choice.
OnePlus 11? They’re both good choices but imo S23 is a bit more cleaned up all around. The main pros of oneplus 11 are the big screen and really fast charging speed (but no wireless charging). Other than that I think S23 has the upper edge for most use cases. Both good phones tho I don’t think you would be wrong going with either one of them.

@@unnirajac8617Yeah, the phone has a small battery. It can last a full day when charged to 80%, but even longer when charged to 100% (I charge it to 80 to protect the battery).
I've got the s23, what blur issue? Photos usually come out sharp unless I intentionally try to screw up the shot or zoom in x4 or x5 times into the image after and crop it, it's also blurrier at x10 to x30 zoom levels.

@@Anomalyy666quite literally and have been for a while now, the SN gen 2 has the equivalent of a gtx 1050 (allegedly). The main issue is that nobody is making apps and games for that amount of power, as so very few phone users are using premium devices like this (it simply makes no sense from a dev view).
@@Vordigon1 I play genshin impact and codm and they run fine except Genshin which is unable to play it max settings. Still handles it fine. We need more AAA games on mobile. Like a mini PSP.
They’re both a great choice. The main difference I think is the 120hz refresh rate on S23, since regular iPhones only have 60hz. But if you are looking to keep your phone as long as possible, iPhones generally last longer and are a bit more reliable imo.
I highly recommend you go to a store that has both and check both of them out for yourself before dropping $500+ on a phone. Let us know what you went with!

The S23 series actually gets 5 years of security update so sure 4 years you will get new android updates but you get another additional year of security updates

Even the camera shutter speed is instantaneous (up there with the likes of iPhones etc). Photo quality is much improved. Battery life is actually better than on s23. I use to get 6 hrs sot on 23, I'm getting 7.5 hrs on s24. Screen looks better, no overheating like the past versions of exynos. Stop shitting on the new exynos it's actually very good. Better than the sd on s23 by far.

It looks like a great phone even by today's standards. I'm torn between this and the iPhone 15.
