S23 is flagship. A55 is midrange. You can go ahead with either based on what is your day to day usage.

I guess Pixel 8 will get more years of update so better for future. S23 might get 4-5 years max so in long term, il suggest pixel 8. But if you are like gonna use the phone for 2 years then experience wise s23 will be better
