    Nice video once again.
    In reference to the Playseats. I know the Evolution gets a lot of flack for the middle bar, but I really have no issue with that here. My LCM pedals are mounted a bit to the left, so the brake pedal is a bit off center and it works well enough. But the pedal sheet of the Evolution seat seems to have been changed throughout product lifetime. The Revolution is no revolution but from a product range pov it makes obvious to customers that Playseat consider this as the next step. A bit like the ranging of BMW (1 to 7) series or Mercedes (A to S) being more obvious than Ford or Renault model names.
    After a couple of months my issue with the Evolution is that I feel the wheel is a bit too close. I could put it a bit more away, but then the pedals are too far away. But the setup does not need too much width which probably doesn’t hurt the wife acceptance factor.

    • @SimulatedDrivingResource
      @SimulatedDrivingResource  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank youuuu 😎 there are indeed different pedal plates for the Evo and I can imagine if can be put off-center. I always assumed the dimensions of the plate werd not large enough to support it. I know the naming of the Revo is to differentiate it from the Evo... but still, when you hear the name Revo, you would think of an entirely different chair. For me it is like naming a Nissan Micra a Nissan Colossus... its just a wrong name 😏 As usual, thanks for the support MZ 💙

    • @marcianzero_yt
      @marcianzero_yt 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The brake pedal still is a bit behind the bar because you are right the base is not wide enough. But it really works ok.
      If I hadn’t bought this one used I would still have bought a different setup probably.

    • @SimulatedDrivingResource
      @SimulatedDrivingResource  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@marcianzero_yt that is most important. Normally you buy a rig and then set it up and tweak it in a way that fits you best. Because my experience is more based on a first look and feel, I tend to miss those things. In all, the Evo is still a large go-to on the second hand market because it is simply so good available and prices can get really competitive. If I would factor that in the list, the Evo would probably score a lot higher just behind the Challenge.

    Nice break down of the different rigs on the market at the moment. Definitely agree the NLR F-GT is a great mid to top level cockpit. As you know I have one and have upgraded the seat to the NRG fiberglass racing bucket and definitely takes the whole rig to another level. I keep looking forward to your videos buddy. I think that's a pretty good round up. There are some positions that I would disagree slightly with, but that's only because my criteria for a good seat are are likely to be different to yours - for example I value absolute solidity (no flex whatsoever) together with a relatively lightweight design for ease of moving, which means the Trophy would top the list for me, but all told you're pretty much bang on point when compared to my personal experiences with racing seats.

      I have the playseat challenge also. I bought the next level DD wheelstand for my fanatec DD wheel. But the playseat challenge is so comfy that i didn't bought a new cockpit. I removed the front of the playseat and it fits perfect on my DD wheelstand. I do racing session of 10 hours sometimes without any issues. A friend of me has a very expencive racing seat (around 600€/$). I can say the playseat is way more comfortable. He's saying the same. Racing in my playseat challenge feels like I don't experience gravity. The pedal and wheel basestand is inadequate for loadcell pedals and DD wheels. But the seat is amazingly good. Thats also NEXT LEVEL 😉. I'm still in doubt if I will buy the expencive GTSeat add on with the extra frame for connecting to my next level racing DD wheelstand. The price of it is 580€/$. The GTSeat looks very premium, leather and expensive. But I'm almost sure It's less comfy compared to my playseat challenge. Especially during the summer. The playseat challenge stays so cool and refreshing in hot summer days. I could even state that the playseat challenge is more comfortable compared to my couch at home and my carseat. And no... I'm not sitting in a rubbish couch everyday when watching tv😉.

    • @SimulatedDrivingResource
      @SimulatedDrivingResource  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Exactly my thoughts. It shares the similarities with a beach-chair but also the "chill" feeling when you sit in it. And like you say, more comfortable then some more expensive seats out there. The add-on seat of NLR is very nice though. But if you are comfortable as you are now... there is indeed no real reason to change except for the estethic part. You already tackled the main issue of the Challenge being the stability so it seems to me you're all good!

      @@bestopinion9257 well, the playseat challenge is more comfortable. The playseat adjusts to your body. The next level racing seat and cockpit is more sturdy and looks more pro for sure. But if you don't have an DD wheel with high torque I would choose the playseat challenge. At 1/5 of the price compared to the next level sim rig. The NLR seat is good. Looks premium. I can do sessions of multiple hours without a problem. It's comparable with a car seat. But the playseat challenge is more comfortable. Especially during hot summer days. (I'm assuming that... We did not have real hot weather yet.) But I used the playseat challenge a lot in the summer. No sweating at all. It's breathable fabric. I'm not that big. For other people it can be maybe a problem. So I had a Thrustmaster T150 and a Playseat Challenge rig and I am now looking at slightly better upgrade. I am ex-(successful😁) racing driver in Radical and Caterham as my background, and I used to only have 2 games on my PS4🤣😂, namely Project Cars and GTAV.
    The weak link on my old rig I found was the T150 pedals, or the “feel” of them. Even though I did some adjusting, I found that the braking was very difficult as it had no feel. The T150 wheel itself was perfectly ok, for the price-point, yeah it could have stronger feedback sure, but a good wheel all the same.
    The Playseat Challenge was also a good budget buy, very comfortable, there was some flex in the whole unit, but again for the price a very good buy.
    So now I am looking at an upgrade, but I am not going to spend £1000’s!!
    I like the look of the Playseat Trophy, the price new is eye-watering, but it could be a second-hand buy for me.
    I am not looking at the high end Fanatec as the price is too much…..so I am looking for 1. Good pedals, with realistic brakes and progressive feel ( even though in a real car there is not that much progression), and a wheel with slightly stronger feedback. I may consider a T300 or the one up from that if I can justify the price. I am not so sure of buying a used wheel and pedals though.

      An actual racing driver 😮 Well GTAV wasnt really known for its realistic driving, but I played it long enough myself too 😁 The trophy is rock-solid and a good choice but pretty hard to find second hand and I agree...new.. its already quite the investment! The T300 on the other hand, Well, it is great hardware and for sure a good choice. It performs the best in its price category but yeah, you might want to buy TLCM or T3PM pedals with it. Because it is sold quite often, its the most popular base second hand. I understand the reluctancy of buying it second hand, but very good deals can be made. Also keep in mind that the upcoming month there will be "promotions" for black friday for many manufacturars. Might be a good time for you to buy if you want new hardware. Thanks for the feedback!

There is a sale going on for black friday this moment and I believe you can still get the GTO discount-code (-5%). If you want even more stable (although in my opinion it is already very stable), they have the Titan too but that one I still need to buy before I can comment 😁 Dont get me wrong, the Trophy is a very very good seat, I just didnt think it was particularly Well priced.

      What has lead me back to the Playseat Challenge, that wobbly jelly thing? Well I have found on eBay UK Playseat Challenge Mods! So bracing for the wheel, bracing and fitment kit for Fanatec pedals, (and even a shifter mod which I don’t need).
      These of course add up to another £60 ( for the 2 mods) over the £169 Amazon UK price for a new Challenger. So, budget £230. I can’t find anything else that is storable and versatile for the money. I can see that, in theory, your Art chair can be split in half, but I guess it will still be big and heavy to move.

      @@SimulatedDrivingResource - You're welcome. :)
      Serious: I watched your whole video - but every time you introduced another cockpit, I wished you would have shown it not just for a second or so. I often found myself skipping back and pausing playback just to have a look at that rig and compare your explanations with the visuals.
      At the same time, I found it difficult to navigate in the video for finding the ultra short introductory shots because there are no chapters.
      I liked your video, watched with a lot of nods, thus I wish you success and more subscribers. ;)

      It is a process of trial and error. You should watch my real "older" reviews :-| It's because of feedback that I can improve so thanks. Hope the new video was a bit better.

    If someone can't efford or don't have the space for alluminium bar chassis do not waste money with middle range things. I have a playseat challenge with indigo lime's full mod in structure and i can handle dd pro 8nm and fanatec v3 pedals and i'm in love. Before those mods i was looking around but now i'm satisfied. 280€ in total and i'm confortable
